This place is in desperate need of servers! Me and (mostly my kid) come to this restaurant for the rolls, and by 7pm they were out of rolls! and silverware for that matter. Went here as it was next door to the hotel. The sign at the entrance said to be patient as they were understaffed. We were sat right away and our waitress Sharilyn came over to take our drink order. We then placed our order and the food came out much quicker than expected. As far as the food it was great. We had the grilled shrimp appetizer and I got the grilled chicken and steak combo. Just "okay." I've eaten here around three times the short while I've lived in Enterprise. And it's nothing that great to me; nothing that makes me say, "I can't wait to go back to Santa Fe!" The drinks are only so-so. The service (waiters and waitresses) aren't that good and don't seem to care if you have a nice dining experience. Finally placed our order (we both ordered the same thing). 10 minutes later the waitress brought my husband his salad and mumbled something. This place is seriously hoppin every time I have driven by. A friend had their dinner birthday there recently and I was pretty pleasantly surprised. I'm fairly new to the South so the peanut shell on the floor steakhouse thing is kind of weird - but I'm told its normal. The food was typical fare, well prepared. One person in our party had a way undercooked steak but other than that I think everyone was happy. Check out the really cool fan in the bar area. Ohhh yea that reminds me. The decor is pretty creative and I typically loathe these kind of chain joints that just throw random debris on the walls. This place has a ceiling fan that is worth stopping by for alone! I was hesitant going to this place based on low reviews but decided to give it a try "just in case" it was good, I was craving steak and this was close by. I ordered the ribeye. It was more like unsalted shoe leather cooked microwave-style. It was sooooo awful , definitely NOT a ribeye but more than likely a very poor quality sirloin. My husband had the enchiladas and they were the worst that I've had EVER. The ranchero sauce was a can of tasteless tomato paste, very gross. The waitress was friendly but swamped with tables so service was not up to par, I felt sorry for her. I made them comp the meal because it was that bad. I'm sure they thought that I just wanted a free meal, whatever, I'm more than happy to pay for quality, not crap. Went in for a late lunch. Ordered the club sandwich. It was good but it was obvious we were forgotten. Fries were cold and my wife ordered loaded fries and the shredded cheese was just thrown on top not melted. Staff was not very friendly either. We walk in, there are easily 20 or more people waiting to be seated, and we can see 3-4 empty tables from the entrance. We asked if we could just sit at one of the tables in the bar area and we are told that those tables are also on the waiting list... with a 30-35 minute wait. Then why were all of those tables EMPTY?!! If you want customers, seat them. I'm not staring at empty tables for 30 minutes or longer while I wait to be seated. Bad food and gross drinks. We tried to eat here twice, and both times didn't go well. First time, I ordered a steak. It was tough and had no taste. I ordered a margarita and couldn't finish the second half of it. It tasted like they had just poured salt into it. Second visit, I order a pulled pork sandwich they had for the season. This place is usually amazing. We love going here, this is our go to restaurant in enterprise. The staff is usually on one end of the spectrum or the other. Either they aren't very friendly or they are too friendly. My mother in law and i went here for lunch the other day and our waitress was nice but she didn't pay attention to our answers to her questions very well and she was very preoccupied with telling us about her personal life, which i found to be very unprofessional. Yet another southern steakhouse where you throw roasted peanut shells on the floor. In addition, this one has interesting decor with lots of craziness on the walls (odd that it's mostly Texas related...Santa Fe?) including a giant windmill fan over the bar. A few gripes, but overall the place is worth it. Their "fall off the bone" ribs were tough, actually needed a knife to get them off the bone. Their steaks tend to be cooked a little long, you ask for rare you'll get medium-rare to medium, ask for mid-rare you get medium, etc. The service has been mixed, but always good at the bar. Sometimes they're attentive without being annoying, other times it seems they really phone it in even when it's not that busy. It's a fairly new place, so I'll chalk it up to inexperience. If they better train their servers, I think the place deserves another star. On the good side they have a full bar and a decent beer selection including Shiner Bock to keep with their "Santa Fe" (Texas) theme. Some tasty mixed drinks on the menu for anyone that needs sugar to make the alcohol go down. The servers can only bring each guest 1 drink at a time, so if you want a shot and a beer chaser, you might have to wait. With all the focus on Texas, they better have good chicken friend steak! Theirs is pretty tastey (sometimes it's a bit greasy though) though maybe a little heavy on the black pepper, but good. Get the cream (white) gravy. Most sides I've had were good, but the chili is bland. Texas toothpicks are a good appetizer (not so much without the included chipotle ranch dressing) and you get a ton...better bring 2 friends at least for one order. Although the cheese dip is tasty (as is the crust "bowl" it comes in), the chips were stale and bland. The death burger is flavorful and mine had a hell of a kick. Most of the poultry and seafood items are good. I LOVE the western filly (their variation on the philly cheesesteak). Be sure to chow down on it with the included chipotle-mayo sauce. By itself the sauce is eh, but it's great on the sandwich. Yeah, I got my minor complaints, but I'll be back to Santa Fe, hopefully soon. read more

First of all I am not a professional critic, just calling it the way it is. Our server was on point, attended the table near perfect. Cannot account for anyone else but my cup was never empty. My wife stated the Fajita plate wasnt good. As this is one of their signature dishes it should have been great. Again we are not food critics but she claims to have had much better in other locations. I had one of the sirlon cuts, cooked medium as requested, however it was dry. Hard to explain a pink center and a dry grainy texture?.... Just plain odd. It will make me think twice about ordering that cut of meat again. Hell could be a ploy to upgrade to a ribeye or T-bone.
