This restaurant is a popular spot in Enterprise, Alabama, according to Google and Yelp reviews. Upon entering, I was warmly welcomed and shown to my table. The menu is extensive, offering a wide variety of options. I decided on the grilled chicken tenders and the catfish fillet dinner plate. My food arrived in about 10-15 minutes. The catfish fillet dinner came with French fries, one side, and hush puppies. I asked the waiter if I could swap the fries for a healthier option, and she recommended baked broccoli, which turned out to be warm, fresh, and delicious. The grilled chicken tenders were a highlight--served hot with great flavor. The catfish fillet was decent but didn't quite impress enough to earn a perfect score; it had a bit too much batter for my taste. Prices were reasonable, and the service and ambiance were excellent, featuring an open kitchen. I look forward to returning to try their breakfast on a Thursday or Friday. Finally made it to Annie's for breakfast, it was delicious. There's no kids menu but they were so sweet and made some mini pancakes for my 1 yr old. The biscuits and gravy is one of the best I've ever had! There's French toast was delicious and the big strips of bacon was perfectly cooked. Dropped in here due to location and absolutely enjoyed it. I had the 2 egg, Biscuit and Gravy with Bacon and Hashbrown plate. Bacon was nice size portion with three slices. The big winner of this meal was the Biscuits and Gravy. Little bit of a bite which had me using my coffee spoon to get every little bit. Waitstaff was friendly and the team has an obvious relationship with their regulars. As folks came in and the team was already ready to bring their drinks. If you've never been here before you are missing out! Hands down one of the best restaurants in enterprise in my opinion. It's definitely a hidden gem in downtown enterprise. This is one of the places were there is truly nothing bad on the menu! Everything is cooked to order so depending on the time of day or amount of people may take a few minutes but it's worth the wait. I highly recommend the burger that is what they are known for! There is a reason they have been voted best burger in enterprise year after year! The patties are hand made, it has a charbroiled taste and it just melts in your mouth with every bite! True GEM!!!! We finally went to Annie's in December of 22, after living in the area for nearly 2 years. If you search best places to eat on other social media sites Annie's is always number 1 and there's a reason Annie's has some pretty incredible fiber food. I try something different every time snd I'm never disappointed. Their menu is extensive and tge food is served up piping hot and fresh. It is a true diner atmosphere from tge old style quirky advertisement tables, filled with local businesses to tge open area grill area where you can see, smell and gear tge good bring prepped. My favs are the chipotle chicken Caesar salad, hamburger steak with mashed taters and green beans and any burger on them menu. My husband enjoys the pork chop sandwich. The out of town guests we have treated to are blown away by Annie's ! I went to take a pic of our dessert TRES LECHES LEMON CAKE WITH STRAWBERRY PURÉE and it was eaten up before I could get a pic we had dessert because we all had delicious salads this night, so treat yo-self! read more

In town for business and this was recommended by a co-worker. I was struggling to decide between the 2 choices recommended even after reviewing on Yelp. The staff at the front desk of my hotel recommended both as well but leaned slightly to Annie's. So that is where I found myself. With my curiosity peaked I chose "The Big Nasty". A full pound burger with bacon and cheese on both sides of the patty, onion rings and two Texas toast grilled cheese sandwiches as the bun. After a slightly longer than expected wait the master piece arrived and I quickly dug in. I would recommend a little more caution for future diners as I think I burned the inside of my mouth slightly with the copious amounts of the melted cheese. Also after a near dislocation of my jaw trying to bite this massive creation, I opted to use the provided steak knife (buried to the hilt in the attached picture) to cut into smaller more manageable portions. The burger patty was seasoned well but slightly dry (or maybe it was just me as I neared the end). More cheese makes anything better IMHO. Bacon just right, not too crisp and not too soft. The Texas toast struggled slightly with the volume but ultimately held up to the task. After polishing the burger off, which seemed to impress the server at least a bit, I was quite glad I had opted for no side orders. However, I was disappointed that I did not have the appetite to try dessert. The cobbler sounded quite good. Overall service was ok, not bad, not great, just ok. That's really the only reason this was not 5 stars. Since this gastronomical feat is not celebrated by a picture on the wall or a t-shirt, I recommend splitting it and maybe trying that dessert I missed out on. read more

I was in town for work and I absolutely love eating out and about and came across this place. I'm glad I did. First off, walking around Enterprise was nice. Secondly, this restaurant is extremely busy and can tell the servers work hard and well together. Thirdly, for the price, the food is a good serving amount. I ordered the ribeye and potatoes. I wasn't disappointed one bit. I was actually really impressed because this place does look like a runner down restaurant. But my steak was massive, flavorful, juicy, and cooked to a perfect medium. Annie's is a small diner style restaurant when you walk in. We went for dinner on a Friday night and got there at 5 and it was already very busy. Luckily we got in right away. The staff are extremely kind and helpful. It's small in there, so you are a bit close to the other patrons so you need to be careful your feet aren't in the way about to trip the staff. Overall, food was phenomenal. Holy buckets. Come hungry, though. You are eating your heart out at this place. Portions are ginormous and it's oh-so-tasty. Definitely a spot to come to. Awesome food and friendly service. When I was growing up here, this plac was a pool hall. As a cafe it fits the downtown setting very well. They are very busy at lunch so there may be a bit of a wait getting food. But the burger was about a half a pound of thick patty at a really good price. Hamburger steak was also very good. Annie's has been a staple in the downtown area of Enterprise, Al. since I was a little boy. Then however, it was a pool hall with a fried food grill and finger foods. Gone are the days of spending hours perfecting your bank shot, then relaxing to a fine grilled burger and fries. Modern day Annie's is now a sit down restaurant with a menu and support staff. Sit down booths and tables now line the walls and surface areas of the front and back sections. My order of chicken noodle soup and a grilled cheese sandwhich arrived hot and fresh. The bottomless cup of coffee topped off before the end of each refill reminds me when service above all else determined whether or not you would return again. Now there are mathmatical formulas and rating systems based on quantity, texture and many other aspects. It was so memorable to enjoy a decent meal and return to my youth, even if only for a few minutes. There are of course some things which deducted a star from the review. First, the chicken noodle bowl of soup had limited amount of noodles. Very good with a nice meaty content, just lacking in the noodle area. The grilled cheese I ordered with extra cheese was just a bit thin suggesting my order was not passed along correctly. Golden brown and crunchy, the skimpy cheese portion was forgotten and forgiven. The ambience is that of a true local hangout with a well used look and not much there to interfere with the gathering people who just want a place to sit, talk, and relax to an economical meal. Being part of an historical downtown strip, this place could be a tad bit more up to date and appealing to the touristy aspect of the area. read more

The dining room was open on Thursday. My son and I ducked in and had a delicious early dinner. He had the Big Nasty burger which has onion rings and grilled cheese sandwiches as 'buns.' I had the grilled chicken with bacon and cheese. They were both delicious--juicy and hot. The curly fries were also great. The sweet potato tots were not my thing. They had a hefty sprinkling of cinnamon on them. I am not a fan of cinnamon on my sweet potatoes. The menu did not mention that. Our sweet server was quick to offer to replace them with curly fries. She stopped by to check on us and asked how everything was. When I told her I didn't care much for the tots, she offered to replace them and brought me some curly fries fairly quickly. read more

I really want to love this place, but the service makes it difficult. My wife and I stopped by there after the hospital around 10am and the restaurant was about half full. When we walked in there was no door greet or any attention paid to us. I had to catch the passing server and ask if we were to sit ourselves (you are). We picked a booth and waited for the server to return...and waited....I got up and asked for the menus and returned to the booth....and waited.... finally after 20mins we got up and left. Do it! I had the country fried steak (a little salty), but hit the spot. The blueberry cobler is to DIE for. My kids loved watching Iron Man 3 and Rogue One on the restaurant TV.
