This afternoon, I visited the Santa Fe Cattle Co. in Enterprise, AL. I hadn't been there in over five years. Could not have had a better experience. The restaurant was clean, pleasant, and not too loud. Easy to enjoy table conversation without having to speak up over the volume of background music. While I am not a huge fan of knickknacks on walls, I did not notice any dust on anything. Obviously, the Enterprise location cleans frequently. Huge plus in my mind. My husband ordered the Taco Salad with grilled steak. While he expected taco salad to have sour cream, he admitted that it wasn't necessary because of the salsa vinaigrette dressing. I had the Country Fried Steak with mashed potatoes/gravy and green beans. Only thing I could complain about is the green bean serving was a bit small. Other than that, my dining experience was fantastic. Our server, Karrina, was the absolute best. She kept us apprised of how long our meal would take, filled our drinks before needing to ask, kept the conversation lively without being intrusive. We're starting to get out for dinner more and more lately, maybe 1 or 2 times a week, which is down from 4-5 times a week (Pre-Covid.) We try to give previously blacklisted restaurant like Sante Fe another try. The one thing we really used to enjoy about Sante Fe was their onions rings! omg they were the best! However, last night when we were there for supper, we ordered the onion rings as an appetizer, they were thick, under-cooked and tasteless. They're obviously now serving frozen product from the refer trailer, not the handmade onion rings they previously served. I literally watched the ice water run down my husband wrist as he bit into an onion ring. Soggy, greasy and nasty. No more. The rest of the food was sub-par, small portions and not worth their price increases. There are much better restaurants in Enterprise to spend our money at and get great service and food! 30min in and my side salad came it was so wilted I couldn't eat it. The sirloin was so tough I couldn't cut or chew it. Service and food were bad. Then they say a group of 14 beside us and dragged the table and chairs around very loud if there was anything good I missed it. read more

We just had an incredible family meal that was simply perfect from beginning to end. Our server, Wendi, was amazing and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great evening. Wendi should teach classes on how to ensure customers have a great experience in a restaurant. The decor in this place is unique, fresh and entertaining. The building was clean and had plenty of "in close" parking. It's in a very safe area of town as well. The food was incredible. I had the shrimp po boy and my wife had a burger. We shared a piece of carrot cake and a lava cake as well. Our glasses were never dry and Wendi kept us up to date as to when the food was expected. The worst worst worst restaurant I have been into enterprise. Our first experience was amazing. This experience was horrible when we walked in we were not attending to right away. We waited at least 10 to 15 minutes to be seated. The guy proceeded to walk to around the store came back to us still did not have a table and then walked again to try to find a table then we had a server. Our server was horrible. We had ordered steak and loaded, baked potato. My potato was horrible not only that the lady had lighting said they were out of chives. There was just water in a big Guap of sour cream which she said she couldn't do anything about it so I was trying to keep my calm, but I couldn't even eat due to the fact that my meat was basically raw. We only got checked on for when we were ordering our drinks in our meals. We had to go upfront to go get our appetizer that is complementary, which is the bread then I finally had two other tables who complained about the server as well in the services itself. worst experience I've ever had in my life and I will definitely not come back here ever again it's very loud and ghetto and it was just horrible. We came to celebrate my grandmother's, her sister's, and my dad's birthdays, but this was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences we've ever had. No one acknowledged their birthdays, and even though we arrived right when the doors opened at 11:00 AM, we didn't get our food until around 12:30 PM. Our waitress told us the cooks were arguing with her about several of our orders, which explained the long delay -- but when the food finally came out, half of it was cold. After waiting an hour and a half, this was completely unacceptable. What made it worse was that the manager never once came out to check on us, apologize, or even acknowledge the situation. The lack of professionalism and care was unbelievable. What was supposed to be a joyful family celebration turned into a stressful, disappointing experience. I truly hope management takes this seriously so no one else's special day is ruined the way ours was. read more

Ate last night 9/27/24 we ordered the trio dip and chips for appetizers, the chips had a rancid taste , the oil they fried them in was old , we got our food I order the Santa Fe Chicken dinner it was good just to many onions . My drink needed filling our waitress ask if wants another I said yes , she wanted till we got ready to leave and came back to our table after taking a cigarette break cause she smelled like cigarettes when she came back and said to me oh you wanted more to drink . Most disgusting meal I have ever had. We order chip and dip trio. The cheese dip was so watered down it was inedible. My chicken had the texture of rubber and was inedible. My husband's steak was supposed to be medium rare came out medium and by the time they brought his recooked steak out we told them nope and we were eating. My daughter's boyfriend's gravy was burnt. It's been a few years since I've been here but the food was delicious. My steak was cooked perfectly and the service was great.

The steak was excellent, probably one of the best I've had. Much better than Texas Roadhouse anyway. But the waitress didn't specify the macaroni and cheese was Kraft, and not like, "real". I have been here once, and I will never suggest it again. Steaks came out wrong and service was just bleh. One of my friends worked here and let me just say this place is disgusting. I was told there is black mold growing in the back and that cooks don't even wash their hands. When you order a salad the pick the lettuce up with their bare hand. Just a little heads up. Santa Fe cattle company in Enterprise, Alabama has delivered bad service for our family in 2021. It got so bad that they didn't have silverware available during their opening lunch service. It only went downhill from there that visit. So it's January 2022 and we decided to give it another chance. Surprisingly, we were quickly greeted and seated, our waitress Tracey was AMAZING all around. Come to find out, they are under NEW management and the service staff was quick efficient and on top of their service. The food was hot and tasty. It pains me to write this review, because I really love this restaurant. The last three times I've been here the steaks have been tasteless. They don't seem to have any seasoning. They keep overcooking them, so much so I order it initially order them rare and then send it back to get it right. It wasn't that way here a few months ago, but quality has suffered. However, the wait staff was courtesy and prompt. I hope it improves soon. read more

I ate there yesterday Tuesday, 5/24/22 at their 36330 location and thought the service/food was pretty good. I didn't see a dessert menu. I got a T-bone steak, seasoned fries and cole slaw along with a virgin daiquiri ($35). Will definitely visit again. I was alone and felt very comfortable and attended to. I got 2 buttered buns (not really biscuits) before the big meal arrived and those seemed like the butter was cinnamony-sweet. Overall good experience. I'm from Dallas - can't say it matched Texas (we can order beef ribs in Texas - maybe its an AL thing). My only grip is their phone's always busy or goes unanswered so I can't call and order to pick-up.
