I don't know New Mexican cuisine nearly well enough to be a connoisseur, but I do know that I had a delicious meal here. Hatch chiles all day every day. The three of us came after checking out Twisted Spine. We got the stuffed sopapillas with picadillo (ground beef) "Christmas" style, so a mix of red and green sauces; the Watterburger (green chile cheeseburger); and hatch chile mac and queso, also Christmas style, but with sauces on the side since my friend can't really do spicy. Dishes ranged from $20-24 and these were hefty portions. My favorite was the sopapillas, but everything was so flavorful and comforting. We all especially liked the green sauce with those hatch chiles. My non-alcoholic pear spritz was light, bubbly, and refreshing. They used pear purée and the flavor was fairly light, but stronger near the bottom of my drink. My partner got the Mama G's Sun Tea, which was very cinnamon forward and came with free refills. Williamsburg is such a pain to get to, but I hope to one day try their famed breakfast burritos.

Green Chile Breakfast Burrito w/ sausage.

My niece took us to this spot and said we had to try the breakfast burrito so when you get there it is literally a hole in the wall. I had the sausage Green Chile Breakfast Burrito. This burrito was HUGE! It was definitely packed full of everything you want in a burrito. I have to say that I was very impressed from a place like this. It isn't a restaurant, there is no seating at all but more like a Grab n Go. If you want a good Breakfast burrito go here and then just go up the street to the park and eat at a bench. It is worth it.

Finally got to try their breakfast burrito! I got the sausage one because the guy in front of me ordered that one so I felt like that must be the thing to get here lol As a san diego native, I gotta say the burrito is pretty solid here. Its definitely hefty. I wished there was less egg and more sausage though, it felt like I was basically eating a vegetarian burrito.

Behold for the best breakfast burrito in NYC! The Green chile burrito takes the crown. I got one with Sausage and my friend got the Bacon one. All the ingredients are perfectly blending together. The textures are on point and the seasoning is just right. Light heat from the chilies, perfectly cooked eggs, rich sausage - all in right balance inside a tightly wrapped tortilla. The strange thing about the restaurant is that they wouldn't let you go inside. You had to order from the half open door and take the burrito to go. I wasn't with that vibe.

We've been looking for good breakfast burritos in the area and came across Santa Fe BK. They have a couple options for breakfast burritos, we went with the potato one. The hashbrowns inside were crispy and delicious. The green chile was a great add as well for flavor. I wish there was a sauce we could dip it in, but overall it was a solid burrito. It tastes very similar to these amazing breakfast burritos we used to have in Denver called Santiago's. We've been trying to find a place that closely replicates that and this has been the closest we've come

Queso, queso, queso. Was taken here for the queso and it not only did not disappoint, we ended up getting another order so we could dip our dinners in said queso. Definitely go when the weather is nice, the outdoor section is so cool and unexpected. Loved the seating amongst the plants and with great ambiance with the string lights. Our server was great and the margaritas were outstanding. The queso really was insanely good. Great heat, great texture, great salt content - I would get two orders anytime. The portions here massive. When I say massive, I got the bean and cheese burrito and it was ENORMOUS. Insanely good flavor and great to dip in the queso. BK and NYC at large sometimes struggle with Southwest style, but Santa Fe checked every box and had the flavor to back it up. Would come back in a heartbeat.

Nice place in Brooklyn. We ordered chips with guacamole and the trio of salas All good. Not great. Margaritas. We all got one. They were also good. I got the Burro. My daughter got the enchiladas. Burro was real good. I tasted the enchiladas. It was slightly bland. Our waitress was very nice. The place is a 5. Food a three. I could have been better. So I arrived on a 4.

Tucked away amongst some row homes is a portal to New Mexico. Santa Fe BK is cozy little spot with a kitschy New Mexico style interior. From the stucco walls to the sopapillas, this restaurant will transport you to across the country to the Land of Enchantment. The enchiladas were just fantastic. I got the pork adovada with red chile. The chile was savory and not really very spicy. It is served with seasoned rice and pinto beans. The sopapillas were also excellent. I was shocked to see that they were able to get them to rise. Authentically served with honey. And lest I forget, the service was excellent. Don't miss this gem in Williamsburg

Taco salad with chicken.

Stopped in one night after work with a colleague and sat at the back bar, by a beautiful garden. There was rain in the forecast, but the host shared that they typically seat people out there - it's not reserved by big parties. I had a keto friendly taco salad with some chicken and it was delicious! Staff were friendly and I will definitely be back!

the burger and burritos were over-seasoned and a bit salty - if you live around, it's a good spot for grab & go.

Ordered the burrito for delivery and found two strands of hair within my burrito. Had to throw more than half of it away.

Is this restaurant kid friendly? Thank you!

I'm a native New Mexican living in New Jersey and I often crave New Mexican food and I am very curious about this restaurant. My question is WHERE ARE THE SOPAPILLAS??…

They aren't listed on the menu, but they gave us complimentary sopapillas for dessert when I ate there!

Is it spicy?

Perfectly flavorful green chilis that are mild/medium but not crazy hot 🌶

For starters we had the tostones frida then for entrees we had the lamb chops, chimichurri steak, and fried ice cream for dessert. Everything was flavorful and cooked just right. Our waitress was amazing. She was attentive and available even when it started to get packed. The vibe of the place felt a little more upscale, which we loved. One thing to note is that they do have a dress code, so just keep that in mind before going. It definitely adds to the overall atmosphere though. I dined at Casa Kahlo last year, a few weeks after they opened. The service was so bad, I didn't leave a review as I chalked it up to them still working out the kinks. 8 months later I decided to give them another try and it's safe to say I will not be returning. The hostess was lovely and very helpful, the waiter was friendly and tried his best. It was Cinco de Mayo and the restaurant was pretty busy but not packed. Our drinks took forever to come and arrived in plastic dollar store cups, we had to ask for water 3x. The guacamole was good but lacked spice even though we ordered extra spicy. The kids steak was undercooked , we asked if they can cook it to a medium well temperature and it came back burnt! The ropa vieja was good, a large portion of meat served with a kids size bowl of rice and beans. The churros portion is small, the menu said it was served with ice cream but it just came with whipped cream and 1 caramel filled churro cut into 3 pieces. After dinner we moved to an outdoor table and ordered another round of drinks which also took an unreasonable amount of time and they forgot one of our drinks. 20% gratuity and a credit card fee automatically added to the bill.

There's indoor and outdoor seating available. I started with the tostones and guacamole and empanadas. I've had tostones plenty of times but never with guac and it was pretty good. Thin Tostones paired with fresh guacamole. Then I had the cheeseburger and oxtail empanadas. They fry them fresh and the fillings were tasty but small in size. Sadly they sold out of the elote. For the mains I got the jerk chicken taco, salmon taco, oxtail tacos, jerk chicken burrito, and Mexican burger. My guy tried the salmon taco and I had the jerk chicken. That was a bit spicy. The oxtail tacos were juicy with a crispy tortilla and decent amount of oxtail. I seen a jerk chicken burrito on the menu so I had to check it out. It's packed and that jerk chicken was spicy how I like it. You can even order it as a bowl. The Mexican burger is your classic thick burger but they spice it up with guacamole, pica de gallo, and sauce to give it a Mexican twist. Shout out to Amare and Bairam. They were very helpful. The food options were pretty solid. I ordered the lemon pepper wings (ate those before i took pics), and they were really good. Super crispy. They came with a side of ranch, and maybe 6 wings. We also ordered the calamari which to me was soooo much better than the wings. Idk. It was seasoned so well, and it wasn't rubbery, oily, or anything. It was pretty good. The drinks were also super good. I had a lemon drop, which was made to perfection. For $10 a drink, i had 3 of them lol. The drink was super cute too. Nice glass with a dried lemon for the win. I ordered tacos to go. I ordered 2 carnitas, 1 salmon and 1 oxtail taco. The carnitas wasn't what i expected. It was good, just a little more seasoned than I'm used to. I ordered the other tacos for my boyfriend and he tore them up. I'll definitely be back. It's a cute spot, it's kinda small but enough tables for a nice vibe. The music was good. The ambiance was giving. The service and the bartender were amazing. 10/10 for her. I'll be back for sure. Hopefully when it warms up a bit. See pics below
