But overall we found both the dishes way too salty naaawwww :( It always makes me sad when restaurants smother the food with one ingredient- in this case the one you never want too much of - goddamn salt. Lucky for me when I arrived I was the only person in line. They have a walk up order window where you can quickly grab a premade burrito. They offer sausage, bacon and potato breakfast burritos for $11. I opted for the bacon one which has potatoes included in it. A side of hot sauce is an extra $2 so I opted out of it and crossed my fingers that the burrito would be flavorful. When I unraveled the burrito steam started to slowly trickle out ... so I knew this lil burrito baby was made recently. The burrito is smaller than what I'm used to on the west coast where you could turn one burrito into 2 meals however Santa Fe's burrito is the perfect eat in one sitting type of burrito! Not too stuffed but also satisfied. The burrito ... * perfect temperature, you can tell they're fresh * the tortilla is light and I'm guessing was also freshly made. It wasn't dense like other breakfast burritos I've had * eggs are silky smooth * bacon was the perfect texture not too crispy and not super fatty * the green chilies are the star of the show! mmhm mmhm mhhhmmmm ... not spicy but punching with flavor * the one thing I will say is I guess I wish the outside was slightly toasted or something. I would highly recommend coming around 10 AM on a Saturday or so if you want to get burritos before they sell out. Really delicious restaurant, and just super friendly staff. It's a bit deceptive because if you're standing outside, it just looks like a take-out breakfast place, but there's a full dining room inside, and a beautiful, expansive backyard. When we had dinner the moon was full in the sky! I first encountered SantaFeBK by ordering their breakfast burrito, which was delicious. Their take-out was great! It came fast and was hot! I had dinner with a few friends there a few weeks later. The smothered burros were delicious. If the pork had been less on the dryer side, and more on the juicier side, it would have been a home run. My friend reported the burger was great, and it sure looked great. I liked the (very large) chips and guac, but it's along the lines of what you'd find elsewhere, as are their (very good, and somewhat spicy) margaritas. Despite the super friendly service, there was a bit of dizziness. Our friend ordered an entree with green sauce, but it came with red sauce instead (which he could not eat), and had to be completely re-cooked while the rest of us ate. We ordered a cocktail that never came, but we were charged for it anyway. Obviously, they fixed all these mistakes, and did it with a smile, but their focus could use a little improvement. Wow wow wow wow wow. Woke up craving a breakfast burrito and am SO glad I discovered this place! I got the bacon burrito and it was everything I hoped it would be and more. The bacon was salty and crisp, the eggs fluffy and cheesy, the green chilies added great flavor, and the flour tortilla so fresh - must have been homemade (which is a game changer for any burrito). My partner got the sausage burrito and although delicious, we both agreed the bacon was better. After moving to the neighborhood, I needed new go-to breakfast spots and this place caught my eye! They had a sign out from promoting their "famous" green chili and I thought why not!? They offer breakfast burritos in the morning and burgers at lunch/dinner time. It's a casual place where you walk up and order at the door. The burritos are made beforehand (I'm assuming that morning because they always taste fresh!) and kept warm. I've tried the sausage and the potato and in my opinion, the potato reigns superior!! The green chili is delicious, I wouldn't call it spicy, more flavorful. Adds so much to otherwise a very basic burrito but you don't need much more! The cheese is a melty, delicious American and the eggs are fluffy not dry. The potato is the perfect addition IMO but I did love the sausage as well. A bit more salty. Apparently Santa Fe BK sells them throughout the day till they run out. The burritos had some heft; SF BK did not skimp on the filling. The eggs were soft and velvety. There was just the right amount of bacon and potato. The green Hatch Chiles warmed us up and brought the flavors together. So cool that this place was open on New Year's Day.
