Grilled chicken and garlic sweet potatoes

This is one of few restaurants where me and my group finally got a full meal. Everything was delicious. The staff was friendly and the restaurant decor was beautiful.

Incredible food, provably the best meat I've ever had in my life. New York City native that went to Paris and wanted to go a little out of the typical tourist areas. This place is an incredible gem. Amazing service, refreshing drinks, and genuinely delicious food. Thank you for making our last night in Paris amazing.

Visited Paris during peak season with my mom and sister. The restaurant accommodated us at the last minute with a call 30 minutes before dinner. Upon arrival, there was no wait time and they offered various seating options. The staff was super friendly and communicated with us in Spanish (we are fluent). The meat and potatoes were perfectly seasoned. The drinks were refreshing. The empanadas were the best I've tasted (I've had my fair share of Argentine empanadas). They brought mom a candle and sang happy birthday. An unforgettable dining experience!

My steak. Delicious! Veggies were really good but the standout is the sweet potater mashers!

Holy cow Batman! This restaurant has some of the best steaks that I've ever had.....anywhere in the world! The place is romantic, with friendly, competent, multilingual staff and the food is absolutely outstanding! Partner in Crime recently took me here for a birthday dinner and I'm sure glad that she did! I encourage you to eat your steak at Santa Carne and then, if you're pleased with your lovingly prepared meal, give some love back by kissing the chef and sharing your picture. Good times in the city of light....and steak!

Delicious! Not friendly to English speakers attempting French, but the food and atmosphere made up for it.

While visiting Paris I initially had reservations to have my birthday dinner at another steakhouse but with lost luggage I never made that reservation and just came here the next day(on Monday, for some reason a lot of restaurants were closed on Monday) I'm glad I did though because the food was delicious! I ordered the ribeye that came with potatoes and a salad. The ribeye was cooked perfectly, very juicy, but could have used a little salt. The potatoes were amazingly delicious and the salad was also tasty. For appetizers we had the garlic shrimp and beef and chicken empanadas. The garlic shrimp was awesome and I preferred the beef over the chicken empanada. I forgot the name of my drink but I enjoyed it as well. Great dinner, great service.

Argentina Style food. I had a big steak, cooked medium rare - perfect! We started late at the restaurant and finished around 1:00am. A good wine and I will definitely go back to this place in Paris!

The Provolone with honey was perfect, just savory and sweet enough

Lovely ambiance, excellent and friendly service, delicious steaks and appetizers. The chef was so accommodating and genuine...we will definitely recommend to friends visiting Paris!

Being that my husband is Argentine, we will look for Argentine restaurants on our vacations. Santa Carne was the best Argentine cuisine I've had. Really! The steak was absolutely delicioso! The side items complimented the steak. My husband also loved this place. We spoke to the Argentine staff in Spanish as if we were in Argentina, though we were in Paris! I totally recommend this restaurante. It's also very beautiful inside.

Spent our last night at this Argentinian restaurant. By far the best restaurant we experienced in the 4 days we've been in Paris. The staff was friendly and recommended one of the best wine we have tasted. We enjoyed the whole bottle in one sitting - Malbec 2016!!!! A must try place if you are looking for some good MEAT in Paris.

Good steak. Not the best I've ever eaten. Think backyard grill done by the best cook ever.

This is not the place you want to go for your birthday unless you want to be disappointed. Even if your hotel concierge makes a reservation, they'll place you in the bar area because it's not their policy to actually reserve a good table. If you want a really good dinner that is expensive then you're in the right place. If you want it to be special... they don't care! Even when I called it to their attention we had reservations she said it was not her fault, she'd offered us a three seating in a pass through as a big give. I sat in my black formal dress watching the cook fry up the steak like at a walk up beach bar. Go here in your jeans and a sweatshirt not a suit or dress. It might be quaint on the other side but who would know. And they didn't wish me a happy birthday while serving me the wrong dessert.

    The Chef's Selection

This place was YUMMY!!!!! We stumbled upon this place and we're definitely happy that we did. We ordered a bottle of Chardonnay and it was one of the best I've ever had. My husband ordered the Chef's selection which featured three different types of steak, salad and potatoes. They also give you three different sauces to go with the steak. They were exquisite; all three of them equally. My husband ordered his steak medium well but it came back medium rare and he had to ask to have it sent back which they were great about. I ordered the empanadas, chicken, spinach and beef. The chicken was not too great but still edible but the spinach and beef ones were excellent. The waiter wasn't great with English but he made due and it was awesome service. The place is small and quaint but the price tag is large lol! $100 for our plates and wine. But honestly worth the money.

3 different cuts of steak. Chefs selection.

She encouraged me to eat more but I just couldn't. I told her that I would skip the second plate. She actually packed the leftover for me but the food which didn't taste good then wouldn't taste good later, either. I had a bite of the steak later but I still didn't like it. The wine also tasted like water. We just laughed how bad everything was. This place is popular among tourists and I fell for it. Anyway I thought I should share my experience.

Not sure how to rate here. I'll ponder as I write…read more Let's start with the good. And when I say "good," I mean GREAT. The food here is magnificent. Top shelf. Every single thing we ate (and there were many things) was mind-blowingly delicious. There were cocktails (and mocktails!): a Last Word (Monkey 47 gin, Green Chartreuse, Luxardo, lime) for him and a Golden Pear mocktail for me. Both were outstanding and we each had two. We had the Beefy Bravas--a mille feuille potato topped with beef tartare and caviar--the Tobiko Crab Salad, and the Thai Salad (with seared toro, it's easily the best Thai papaya salad I've ever had). All were bonkers awesome. For our meat course, the husband got the Wagyu Picanha (all evidence points to it being a remarkable piece of beef) and I got the veal filet. The veal was one of the tenderest, most delicious pieces of meat I've ever eaten. The haricots beets we got as a side were crisp and sweet, and the pommes purées were otherworldly (complimentary). This is where the good part stops. The atmosphere of the restaurant was fine. But it was HOT. It is unusually hot in Paris this week but it was stifling inside the restaurant. But we could have dealt with that (the food was that good). The really disappointing part, however, was the service. We waited 20 minutes for anyone to ask if we wanted drinks (the restaurant was not crowded) and another 25 for someone to ask if we wanted to order. For context, a couple who arrived 10-15 minutes after us got a bottle of wine and their first course before the server--the same server for both tables--ever came to take our order. And it was like that throughout the meal. It's a shame, too, because the meal was exceptional otherwise. The service was bad enough that we won't return.

Unfortunately, they don't let you eat a full meal at the bar, only snacks. We waited for a cancellation, and ultimately the bartender was able to speak to the manager and find us a table! The French chateaubriand was outstanding, perfectly cooked and with a flavor profile completely different than American beef. Side dishes were well made and tasty, and the wine list solid. The sommelier was particularly helpful; she was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and took great care of us. Professional service, high end dining, and an excellent menu. Highly recommended.

The only reason why this isn't a 5 star instead of the 4 star is because the quality of the steak. I had several pieces that I had to spend extra time in chewing. Decent salad with their mustard type dressing. Fries are soooo good. The steak could be better but the butter green sauce helps a lot. Very good. After a 1:15 hour lineup on a Wednesday night, we finally sat down. Started wjth a pleasant walnut salad and I particularly liked the volume and taste of the salad dressing. It featured wasabi like mustard flavour. Bread didn't come with anything and was unremarkable Next came two generous servings of frites (delicious and cooked well) and average quality beef sirloin in a unique but oddly brown sauce. You have a choice of steak doneness. A point is close to medium rare (touch higher) and is the right way to go. The cut is thin and it's smothered in sauce that will continue to cook it. It's also placed above candles to maintain temperature. Aside from the history it's a fairly pedestrian steak. It's basically a cut of average quality meat smothered in a sauce that wouldn't be necessary if the cut of meat was better. Service felt like it was a cafeteria staff dressed in French maid outfits. It was quick and we were in and out in 45 minutes. Such is the speed of having a single set menu. Note, it says that no shorts are allowed but they served plenty of people wearing shorts.
