Sangria was good. Setting was good. 2 stars for this joke of a hummus plate. Scammed.

We stopped in here because we were looking for a place to grab a drink with a little something to hold us over until our dinner reservation. It wasn't busy when we went in so the service was quick and our server was very nice. The food and wine were very good. The only thing I have to complain about is paying $100 for 2 glasses of wine and 2 appetizers. As good as it was and as great as an atmosphere it was it's not somewhere I'd go again over the many other places in this area. I would suggest trying it once but not a repeat for me. I do appreciate the quick service and great vibe

The patio so very narrow so opted to sit inside. I had the sangri-la and husband the cinco Fritos. I know some reviews said they couldn't taste the alcohol but we could. The sangrila was delicious. Light and sweet with coconut and pineapple. The cinco Fritos had a dry finish but still very good. Husband had the crab cakes, perfect portion for a tapa and delicious. I had the citrus shrimp and perfect portion. The flavoring on the shrimp was delicious and almost licked the plate. Service was very good as well. Would definitely come back.

I'll start by saying our waitress was very nice, and the sangria was genuinely good. However, the food was awful. We got the ceviche and it looked like old, nasty soup. Not to mention it was literally 4 small shrimp and half a scallop for $18-22. Crazy, and gross. Also, the bruschetta was literally old crackers with massive chunks of garlic and old tomatoes. Sangria and service good, food terrible. Please don't eat here.

Without a doubt one of the best garden fresh chips & salsa I've had. Sangria selection is good. Beautiful over the street seating (2 tops only) and nice lounge in the front. Great chill spot.

We loved this place... quaint little wine bar in downtown area. Kinda quite inside why he as nice. Great indoor area and nice outdoor seating too. Bar area also great . They have food too but we just had some Bubbles and beer. The servers were from England which is where I'm from . So it was just nice to chat with them and listen to why they ended up in St. Augustine. They were really friendly and charming ! The bubbles was fabulous and the beer . After we chatted at the bar we grabbed a seat out in the covered patio which had tables and couches. Really nice area and enjoyed our beverages out there. The staff checked on us regularly and made us feel at home. Check out sangrias if your looking for a nice quite place . And good looking staff!!!

Would have rated 0 stars but that's not possible. I have tried to go to this bar for 3 years in a row when I come down to FL to visit family and every year they turn us away for some not logical reason. They began by saying there was no room and that "the tables open were reserved and they reserved 3 weeks in advanced". So, that following year I called to make a reservation 3 weeks in advance before my trip, the call was never answered. I called 3 times a day for 3 days in a row, the call was never answered and never went to voicemail. The next trip we decided to go in as a walk in and ask if we could have a table and now there's not allowed 4 people at a table on the balcony. Here are some screenshots of people of tables of 4 I've seen online on that balcony. Today, we tried again for the last time to get a table and asked to split our 4 person group to 2 separate tables and still got turned away.

Great food, great Sangria, great location and great atmosphere. It was my fiance and I's last night in St. Augustine and we wanted to try one last new place to eat. We'd been trying to check this place out all week but their hours were all over the place and we were never downtown at the right time. FINALLY, we got here around 6pm and they were open! We walked in and the place was pretty quiet, with a few people sitting outside on the balcony area. My fiance and I took a corner seat outside under and fan and we are glad we did. As we sat, we could see up and down historic St. George Street and Hypolita street. People watching is one of our favorite past times. We sat back and relaxed with our Sangria. It was sweet and hit the spot. We ordered the bruschetta as an appetizer. This didn't look like your typical bruschetta. The tomatoes, balsamic and cheese and garnishes were piled high atop soft squares of bread. The flavor was packed in and hit your taste buds with that zing. We highly enjoyed this. For dinner, we both order the burritos. My fiance got the chicken pesto and I ordered the shredded beef. Both arrived with excellent presentation. Dipping sauces decorated the plates next to the main course and the side of chips and salsa. The shredded beef was packed with flavor. So good! the chips and salsa were a nice side. The salsa seemed pretty traditional. The burrito was also not the largest which was nice since we didn't leave stuffed but full. It was 10 past 7pm when our waitress let us know to take our time but that they were technically closed 10 minutes ago. We felt bad but she said it was fine. She was super nice and attentive our entire visit. By the end of our meal, my fiance and I had the balcony all to ourselves. We finished our sangria in the peaceful ambiance of Sangrias with the sun setting over Hypolita street. It was a nice way to end our trip to St. Augustine and we would highly recommend you check this place out if you have a chance.

It was the first time I had sushi at a wedding reception. The tables were beautifully set for the occasion. Non alcoholic and alcoholic punch bowls were provided for the guests. We spent a lot of time photographing the reception yet we managed to eat some of the food there. Not too many photos of the food & drinks yet we captured & felt the good vibes throughout the restaurant. I liked the outdoor area where guests could sit and drink to get some fresh air. Everyone seemed happy and very satisfied with the food, drinks, and venue. The music entertainment there was very pleasant as well. Other aspects of Chez L'Amour - Clean & large single serving bathrooms. The area was spacious enough to provide dining, entertainment , and a dance floor. The ambiance is just how I remembered. It's beautiful inside chez l'amour. There are a couple dining rooms, a few bars, extra bathrooms upstairs, and plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the live music while also carrying on a conversation with your table. We started with the bread service, had an espresso martini each which was very smooth and really hit the spot! We then ordered some caviar, one more cocktail, & beignets with prosciutto. I meant to order the delicious ube dessert along with their sorbet featured but we ran out of room. We thought we might come back later to enjoy but we didn't make it back in. Perfect to come back another time and try! I really love this dining space paired with their live music they schedule each night. A wonderful treat and the perfect reason to make the trip from Jax.

We had made reservations ahead of time, and when we arrived, we were seated immediately. That set the tone right away, no waiting, no stress, just walking in and being welcomed like the day actually mattered, which of course it did to us. Our waiter, Elijah, was outstanding. He struck that perfect balance, attentive without hovering, always nearby when we needed something, but never interrupting the flow of our dinner. You can tell when someone takes real pride in their work, and that's exactly how he came across. It made a difference. For dinner, I ordered the Shrimp Salteado, and Cheryl had the Chicken Salteado. Both dishes were excellent, rich with flavor, perfectly cooked, and exactly what you want from the Columbia's Spanish-Cuban style. My shrimp was tender and well-seasoned, and Cheryl's chicken had that same depth of flavor that makes you slow down and really enjoy each bite. Nothing felt rushed, nothing felt off, just consistently great food from start to finish. What makes the experience even more meaningful is the history you're sitting inside. The Columbia isn't just another restaurant, it's part of Florida's story. It was founded in 1905 by Casimiro Hernandez Sr. in Ybor City and has grown into Florida's oldest continuously operated restaurant. Knowing that you're dining in a place with that kind of legacy, where generations of families have gathered for celebrations, adds something you can't really replicate anywhere else. As we sat there together, celebrating 31 years of marriage, it just felt right. The atmosphere, the service, the food, it all lined up with the moment. Everyone we encountered was attentive and genuinely kind, and that consistency is what turns a good dinner into a memorable one. For us, it wasn't just a meal. It was the kind of experience you hope for on an anniversary, one where you can relax, reflect, and just enjoy being together. And today, the Columbia delivered that perfectly.

The restaurant is located in the Hyatt hotel and has complimentary valet parking. We went for a Mother's Day dinner. The ambience was classy with a live pianist and upscale decor. Unfortunately the weather decided otherwise. The weather was terrible and the rooftop closed. We opted to continue with our evening as one of our friends lives in Vilano. I had visited the original restaurant many moons ago but was looking forward to the new location despite it being in a hotel. I am a vegetarian and the options for those are very limited. And I get it. It's a steakhouse. My friends all love steaks. Between the four in our party we had the bread which was out of this world and we ended up ordering a second order, the goat cheese terrine which was tasty, chopped Salad minus the bacon was delicious,Caesar salad for one lady, the mashed potatoes and they were not great, the seasonal vegetables and those were awesome, the Brussel sprouts which were very good but a skimpy portion, a filet steak review was it was ok, steak mofongo and review was ok, and lastly the vegetable pasta and again review was ok. I personally just had the sides as I hate onion and I could not get a vegetarian pasta without onion. The pros are everyone on the staff was wonderful! Bartenders, our server Jonny, hostess, valet guys, etc. The cons are the chairs are cheap and uncomfortable, the space is dressed up a bit for a hotel but still a hotel restaurant, some of the patrons had on shorts and ball caps. For the menu prices a dress code should be enforced and more comfortable seating available. I still want to check out the sunset rooftop and the bread is worth another trip. Other than that, I have other places in SA I lean toward.
