This isn't really its own cafe it's the desserts inside Mediterranean Grill. The Milk cake was really good tho! I had the pistachio and the Dubai chocolate. I think I liked the pistachio better. We also got some kabobs from the restaurant and ate outside in the nice tables and chairs on Castro street. I would come here again.

The adeni chai was so good with fragrant flavors and came out in a cute kettle and adorable tea cups. My mom enjoyed her rose latte, and my friend enjoyed her pistachio latte. I had sips of both, and these drinks were quite good as well. The staff were nice, accommodating, and welcoming. Sana'a Cafe has an elegant interior that is beautiful when you walk inside. I love that it's open late and it's a good place to study/work with comfortable seats and tables. There are Wi-Fi and outlets. They also have lots of food offerings if you get hungry.

Wanted to try it so badly as I am a major fan of the Turkish and Yemeni coffee shops and try to visit them all over the Bay Area as they have been popping up over the past few years. This one didn't quite hit the mark. The pistachio milk cake was on the dry side, and lacked flavor. The coffee was ok, and the atmosphere is a bit confusing as it is a fast food Mediterranean and Sana's Cafe houses in the same space! The fact that YELP has the address listed wrong did not help finding the place either!!! Off on the hunt for the next coffee shop...

Located within the Mediterranean grill house where it is served jointly with the restaurant. Super nice interior and also plenty of outside seating. Very pleasant service at the front getting suggestions for drinks. Hot Cinnamon latte - was good but had some unmixed cinnamon at the bottom Sananni - this one was also really good as well if you like the mofuwar but without the creaminess from the milk Ice mofuwar- 5/5, a very spiced and chocolate notes, most seasoned my fav I also got a kebab plate from the grill house. I really like the sides (tabbouleh and potatoes) but the chicken was a bit morr on the drier side though I don't know if that was because we came when it was slow

The coffee circle is now complete with this new shop moving in. Famous for their Turkish style coffee and pastries, I knew this was going to be good. Of course the Turkish coffee set up was at the top of the list and to go along with it was one of their delicious pastries. Ok, I'm kind of a pistachio lover so the pistachio cake was kinda lacking in that department but it was still good. Now what I expected from the Turkish coffee is was what I got. The blend was a medium roast that was smooth and a little bold at the same time and it definitely hit the spot. The set up it came in was what I was expecting. Service was good and they have a pretty big menu with all sorts of delicious bites. After this experience I can't wait to come back and try out more of the menu. And that's my take on this, Peace out...

Recently went to Egypt and got introduced to cardamom Turkish coffee. I can definitely attest that the coffee here tastes as similar and will be go-to spot for cardamom Turkish coffee! The price is reasonable as well- cheaper than Starbucks actually. But the quality is great and portions are generous. The pastries are well stocked and so many varieties to choose from.

A beautiful Turkish cafe. The chai pairs well with chocolate cake. The cake was delicious and perfect as a dessert. The interior decor also looks intricate and beautiful.

3.5: The bourek is very greasy, and has too much cheese. The version over at Olympus Cafe is better. 3.0: The Turkish coffee is weak. Ask for extra strong. 2.0: Sana'a pistachio milk cake. Lots of green food coloring, not much actual pistachio, not much flavor, but too sweet.

Pretty busy on a Sunday afternoon. Indoor and outdoor seating both available. We got the iced Yemeni latte, iced Adeni Chai, and pistachio milk cake. The drinks were pretty good, but they weren't the star of the show for me. They asked if I wanted honey and sugar in the iced Yemeni latte and I said yes. The honey was mostly clumped at the bottom so I'd only get bits of it here and there. The pistachio milk cake was great though! It wasn't overly sweet and was super moist and milky. Loved it! Would come back to try more of their cakes.

Dropped in for a coffee break. My last run was the Bakersfield Yemeni coffee place and I was craving some coffee. The ambiance is great. Open and airy with appropriate geometrical flourishes. Service is fast. I think I turned around, sat and opened my laptop and my coffee appeared (it was quiet on a Wednesday morning so maybe that helps! Not a lot of laptop users here though. So it's nice too. Enjoying my heavenly cup of sanaani, cardamom is just right, roast not too bitter. Caffeine high kicking in...now!

Sana'a Cafe is located inside the Mediterranean grill restaurant. We came inside and the decor was very nice and modern. This place has a bunch of Yemeni drinks as well as Yemeni food! We ordered Aden chai small pot enough for 2-3 people very good requested light sugar Sana ice latte this was good but all the cardamom and honey was siting on the bottom even after mixing Chicken shawarma wrap I would give it a 7/10 Combination platter the chicken kabob on this platter was amazing!! Definitely will order that again They also have desserts and some pastry appetizers. Definitely coming back, loved the food drinks at vibes.

This is a nice little cafe located within the Mediterranean grill house restaurant. We got a pot of the Adeni chai (Yemeni black tea) which was served in a very cute tea set. We also got a zattar cheese bread and an almond Turkish delight to go with it. The treats were very good, I also loved the zattar bread and the tea was delicious as well. This may be my new favorite cafe in Mountain View. Can't wait to return to try the other delights.

My friend suggested this place so we decided to meet up for some drinks. It is located inside a Mediterranean Grill House so there are plenty of food and drink options. There is also a bunch of desserts ready for pick up. You order at the counter then they give you a number and will call it out when everything is ready. A server brought us our drinks though. Mango watermelon refresher (4/5): This had no sugar so it felt even fresher. The flavor was very light. There is plenty of seating inside and outside so it is a nice place to hang out.

I love desserts and the French are number one in that category. I came from Yutori after buying so much that I squeezed in Madison's dessert, Padova Mandarin Yuzu. The clerk said it needs to refrigerate promptly or else eat right away. I had no choice but to stop by the library's park and eat that along with my tuna egg sando from Yutori. The Yuzu dessert was cool and refreshing. It's good to pair with tea. I'll have to come back and try more desserts. They all look so good to try.

Some of them don't even go to any other bakery besides this one and as such, I was excited to try their pastries. I got a combination of both basic items such as their croissant and their more decorative items such as their Paris Brest. The fundamental difference between American pastries and their French counterparts is that the latter are much less heavy and sweet and in that sense, Maison Alyzee does a good job. However, that quality really isn't that important to me unless I'm making baked goods at home or having them at a friend's. When it comes to a bakery, I care more about nuanced flavors, tastes, and textures and in those aspects, this place didn't really blow me away. To put it this way, I would rather travel to Midwife and the Baker and have one of their croissants at a cheaper price even if it may be more of a sugar bomb. I was actually contemplating knocking off another star because of how much the pastries cost an arm and a leg (almost $10+ for some of the individual items). In the end, I decided against it because this bakery is the first I've visited where the pastries both look nice AND taste good (Paris Baguette and Alexander's Patisserie, take note). Overall, this place is good if you are looking for pastries that both look and taste nice. Perhaps my palate is just not sophisticated enough but I just don't get any unique taste that warrants them being the most authentic French patisserie in the area. Personally, I would visit Midwife, Craftsman, and (soon) Arsicault in Palo Alto to get a more "quality' pastry.

My family and I stopped by Marvel Cake during Mother's Day for a sweet treat on Sunday. This location is in the strip of Downtown Palo Alto and has limited parking (similar to the rest of the stores there, there is a lot of parking, and you will need to get lucky). My mom does like the Marvel Cake in their first location, so we swung by here to try this one out! Location-wise, this is a smaller shop than the original one in West San Jose with limited seating inside. I would say it's not work from home friendly however, I did see a college student next to me on her laptop so maybe I am incorrect here! The interior is nice and light, matching the elegance of the desserts. We ordered three items on the menu: the pillow cake, the bisou, and the blueberry lavender roll. Here are some thoughts: * Pillowcase cake: It may seem like this would be a fluffy cake due to the nature of its shape, but it is a gelatinous Jell-O cake with fruit jam. It was not bad, and tasted refreshing and light. I didn't know if I liked it at first, but ultimately I did come back for seconds and thirds, so this is approved. * Blueberry lavender roll cake: This was not at all what we were expecting. I did not taste any lavender, nor did it have a strong blueberry flavor. I think what threw our party off was the layer of gelatin that surrounded the cake. Texturally, we were not a big fan. * Bisou: This one was our favorite one. I appreciated the nutty crust in the bottom layer of the cake, while the filling was soft and bouncy. It is very sweet, however, but overall, I really enjoyed this one and feel like it would go great with a cup of coffee. What made the experience here a 3 instead of a 4 or 5 was the service we got. We weren't greeted when we came in, which, to be fair, is totally fine, maybe they were busy. However, the person helping us stared at us the whole time and did not really communicate well with us. When I tried to order the cakes for my family, they looked bothered that we were there, and I was not sure if they understood what pastries I was ordering because they did not repeat it back to us at all or confirm anything. When I did place the order, they slowly grabbed the plates and looked visually confused, which again, if they wanted to, I could have repeated it back to them. After they gathered everything, they put it in front of us and rang me up. The whole time, they did not say a word to me at all. Did not reconfirm anything, did not acknowledge we were there, did not say thank you. It was a bit strange, and I had to check with my family if it was me or if that was a really weird experience (it wasn't me).

They offer a variety of drinks, from lattes to milk teas to shakes. Some of my favorites include the Mocha Latte and Ube Milk Tea. The only disappointment was the Mermaid, but I'm not a green tea drinker so maybe it's just not my taste. The drinks lean sweet, so for those who prefer less sugar than me (i.e. most people), you should adjust accordingly. Meanwhile, the desserts are just as diverse and delicious. I enjoyed the Ube Cashew Brownie and Milo Cupcake, but would recommend the Ube Leche Flan Cupcake for your first visit. One trend across their offerings is the use of Filipino flavors like ube, Milo, and sweet corn. It makes them stand out in the crowded cafe & boba market. On the other aspects.. the store itself isn't too big but is well-decorated. There's not much seating so most will just order to-go. The service is usually quick so that's not an issue.
