This place came highly recommended by some local social media pages so we gave it a shot. MENU All the traditional Italian fare you would expect. Excellent dessert choices. FOOD The pizza here is FANTASTIC. They have a great crust and the pie is dense and topped very generously. Very high quality pie. We also ordered the lasagna and manicotti, the first of which is very good. The latter was average, just tasted a bit "simple." The garlic bread looked and tasted store bought but that's not a big deal for me. PRICES Everything is fairly priced considering the generous portions. We also took advantage of a $20 for $12 Groupon they had available. ATMOSPHERE The place is small and seems a bit crammed. Also, with the kitchen right on top of the dining room, it was a bit warm ... so warm in fact we decided to box up 90 percent of our meal and head home. Well we weren't disappointed at all. Appetizer: Fried Calamari. The appetizer arrived hot and was delicious. Everyone enjoyed it. I had the Baked Ziti which was out of this world. The ziti had the perfect balance of cheeses and the pasta was cooked perfectly. I also tried a meatball as a side and that it was very good as well. I could only eat half of the ziti. My wife had the Chicken Parmesan and it was terrific. The chicken breast was huge, breaded perfectly with a nice amount of mozzarella on top and was cooked spot on. Great tasting dish since I sampled it as well. She also got the marinated spinach which she said was great and probably was the highlight of her dinner. One son had a freshly made cheese pizza which he loved and was very happy with the food that night and the next day for lunch. This pizza had a ton of mozzarella on it. Our server Cheyne was outstanding and provided us with great menu suggestions. She was attentive and friendly throughout our visit. Friday night we went to Pizza Getti and placed our name on the seating list. 2 tables were ahead of us to be seated. The hostess said it would be 10 to 15 minutes. She said tables were being cleaned off. After 30 minutes I checked the list. Where I found my name marked off, when I asked she said, "You should already be seated." They gave our table away. I can only assume the manager was standing next to her, he says we are cleaning a table for you now. 15 minutes later and still no table or acknowledgement that we are still waiting, we left. I have no idea about how the food tastes, but if it is anything like their service I will not return. Wow.. long time regular and I always receive great customer service, not today.. It was very disappointing, I came in around 2:30, they were busy as usual there was an empty table so my friend and I sat. I saw a couple of reserved signs but NOT on the table we sat at. After taking our order some guy came by and dropped off a reserved sign and then another employee came by(at that time we had already been sitting for 15 minutes) and informed us the table was needed by three... definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. read more

We always see this place crowded, and they had a Groupon so we decided to try out the pizza. Service was great! The pizza was just lacking in flavor. We ordered 2 pizzas. Kids had hamburger and we had deluxe. The toppings didn't taste fresh, there was zero sauce, and the crust was flavorless. And it's probably just us because they have lots of business. After reading all the wonderful reviews, we were somewhat disappointed. We called in a pick up order last Friday and were told it would be ready in 30 minutes. My husband showed up at the time described, wanting to pick it up on his way home from work. He then proceeded to wait an additional hour before our order was ready. Once we finally got the pizza home, we discovered it's somewhat unusual crust. It is kind of a thick and dense crust, which is fine if you like that sort of thing. We can't help but wonder if maybe all the good reviews were based on the bar rather than the actual food. That same night, we had family over that brought Marcos pizza. We all agreed that of the two -Marcos won hands down. FYI we had never eaten Marcos or Samee's pizza before this. 2016 Yelp 100 Challenge Review #51 (update) I hadn't been here in years and when I had it was only for the lasagna. I was missing out on something much greater - their pizza. If you don't know by now, I am a pizza fanatic! I loved their pizza. It was delicious. I got 1/2 Meat, 1/2 Veggie. Their thin crust is perfect - thin, crispy and flavorful. The toppings were fresh and the cheese stretched like the commercials. That cheese definitely whet my appetite and it did not disappoint once it reached the 'buds. Nothing much else to tell. The customer service was on par. They are open late and serve pizza late ---major plus! The bar area is fitting for these times. I will definitely be back - for pick up or dine in. read more

My girlfriend did a random search for pizza in the Rockwall area and decided to give Samee's a try. Being new to the area, I had no idea what to expect when she brought it back. We sat down at my kitchen table, opened the box and each put a slice on our plates. We were both overwhelmed by how great it tasted! This was a very cheesy pizza and had high quality toppings. A couple of weeks later, we dined in and tried the Bourbon burger sliders as an appetizer at the suggestion of our waitress. Again, we were very happy. The waiting staff was very helpful and honored our requests without issue. There is a little bit of a wait, which is understandable because of the quality of the food, on the weekends, but they do have a bar area for a little faster service. First time eating here. We had lunch and everything was good. As a customer I appreciate honesty and Samee himself came out and told me he wasn't satisfied with the quality of my order so he wouldn't let the food out of the kitchen like that and that it would be a few minutes longer. That alone sold me on this place. Service was spot in and we felt taken care of and never neglected. Samee made sure to make the rounds and checked to make sure everyone was satisfied. This would be my second time leaving a one star review anywhere since creating my account a few years ago. I'm easy going and try to give places a chance. I just expected better taste and quality after reading all the reviews. This was the first time trying this place out and decided to order pizza for my daughters birthday. I was wanting something of better quality and was thinking this was the place. I ordered a Hawaiian pizza and chicken Alfredo. The pizza lacked flavor, the sauce was bitter, it was cold and tough to chew. As for the chicken Alfredo the chicken was extremely sour and I even called the restaurant to make sure this was the way it was supposed to taste. Apparently they cook the chicken in white wine and that is why it tasted so sour, but that sour taste was overwhelming. It was awful to the point that I had to just remove all the chicken and toss it in the trash. I think skipping the white wine could make a big difference in taste. Well the Alfredo sauce was the only thing decent tasting, yet I couldn't get over how much oil was in it. I literally used two paper towels in attempts to remove the excess oil. Even after that there was still an overwhelming amount left. It was to the point that I couldn't save it and started feeling extremely sick to my stomach. So into the trash it went because not even my husband who has an iron stomach could handle eating it. I seriously had higher hopes for this place. The pictures of the food looked amazing and I believed this might of been our restaurant of choice when we were in the mood for Italian. I don't like leaving these types of reviews, but the food was that bad I felt it was necessary. read more

Still loving ol' Pizza-Getti. Samee is still the nicest restaurateur in town. By far. He's got a presence and treats everyone like a friend. On the last night of our honeymoon, tired and finally back home in Rockwall, we came here for dinner. We ate on the bar side and ordered pasta for dinner. I had the tortellini and it was great-- spicier than I thought it would be but I still loved it. Looking back on it, it's crazy but my salad was the highlight of my meal. Just a simple house salad with ranch but the cheese was freshly grated mozzarella and all the lettuce was dark green romaine. Honestly, best salad I've had in months! On the coaster, we noticed "FREE DELIVERY". WOOT! They didn't have paper to-go menus (would be helpful!) but we will definitely be doing pizza delivery soon! We sat and talked and laughed about the adventures we'd had over the past few days and had one more moment of fun before back to work the next day. This place always has a special place in my heart because every time I come here I just leave feeling good, like it's a great neighborhood spot and I can't get enough. My husband's parents were here and wanted to go out to eat. We loaded up a couple of cars and took them and 5 kids with us to Pizza Getti. They had us seated within 10 minutes- YES ALL 9 of us at the same table on a Saturday night! We absolutely LOVE the food. All of us did. It is difficult to find a place that ALL of us like, much less LOVE! Their meals are filling and the prices are great! Our meals included Spinach Alfredo Pizza, Lasagna with a side of Spaghetti and salad, (2) Chicken Scaloppini with a side of Spaghetti and Salad (shared with kids), and (small) Linguini Alfredo (small and large available). There were no complaints. The portion sizes are good, even though the food is so good it leaves you longing for one more bite. Then again, you may keep longing after that bite! I have heard complaints about pizza sizes, but an individual pizza here is still a little larger than at Pizza Hut, tastier, and the right size for a child or a light eater. If you're a heavy weight, the small pizza is just around $1 more. My father-in-law ordered wine, so I know they serve at least beer and wine, and I believe since they are attached to the club next door, there is probably full bar service. At any rate for a full service Italian restaurant with ambiance, this is a great place to go! read more

He cares about what he does and it can be seen in the service, food, and drinks that Pizza Getti offers. From the time you enter you'll feel like family with impeccable service from a wonderful staff. There are two sides to the restaurant a dining room that is great for the family and a separate bar area that is fun for a night out or to watch a game with buddies. We came here a couple of times with the family and had a great time, each time! The atmosphere in the dining area is very family-oriented. There were lots of other families here with kids of all ages. The menu is large enough that everyone could find something they would like, smiles all around. We started with garlic cheese bread, hot wings, fried calamari, and a shrimp Molly Delight salad. The hot apps were all fried with clean oil and temperature hot. The salad had dark green spinach leaves (I see a lot of iceberg in other places in Texas). I was getting full by then with the big portions but I pushed on through to the rest of the meal. :) The salmon milan had a beautiful piece of salmon with fried spinach on top. I've never seen this done before but it was tasty, like spinach chips. We split a deluxe pizza which was packed with lots of toppings and had a great crust on it. Not that I had any room left but I managed to help with the turtle cheesecake and tiramisu desserts. :) The service here was great. The servers were attentive and brought out our food quickly. The prices here can't be beat for the quality of family style food you're getting. In a place where there are lots of chain restaurants to eat at, take a break one night and come try this place out. The reviews are right, this is a well run restaurant with good food and staff. I stopped by for a late lunch and there were quite a few folks in the dining room. Service was good, with only one server working the floor. The place was very clean and we'll kept I had the spaghetti in meat sauce and my only complaint is that the meat in the sauce was the same meat that is used as sausage on pizzas. The sauce was good don't get wrong but even ground beef would be better, but this was the reason that I choose to give them 4 stars. Next trip I'll take on the pizza..... read more

Maybe they were having a really good day while I was here-but I really liked the place. There were a couple of minor problems-it took a little while before waitress came to our table the first time(but she was on point after that) and the food did not all come out at once. That being said it was a very good meal. The wife and eldest son each had individual pizzas- one spinach alfredo and one with mushroom, onion, and some other topping that eludes me at the moment. They were both tasty and fresh. The youngest boy had a hamburger and it was very much to his liking. My daughter had the small fettuccine alfredo -and it was large enough for her to have two meals. She really liked the alfredo sauce. I had the spaghetti with Italian Sausage-and I loved the flavor of the sausage. Very tasty and a huge portion. The place itself is very clean and bright-nothing fancy but very serviceable. The people were as friendly as could be-and obviously like what they do. They came over to the table and told us about the business and where they get some of their ingredients from. Just really nice folks. The prices are also very reasonable-our average entree price was about 6 dollars on our visit-very nice. I can't say I would run out to Rowlett just to eat here-but I will stop again whenever I find myself in the area. read more

We had the deluxe pizza and spaghetti/ meatballs delivered. Both were decent but nothing outstanding. We had to put the pizza in the oven for extra time as it was a bit on the colder side. Then they forgot our spaghetti and the driver had to make a second trip. We received an apology. Pizza tasted like it needed sauce too. Oh we also had a slice of the Italian cream cake and I only could have 3 bites. It didn't impress me. New ownership best thing that happened to the place! Grew up in Rockwall and after other restaurants came in, rarely went back - that's definitely no longer the case. Very much appreciate how (no matter how busy) the owner will work with me and make it the way I prefer, even at closing time (the kitchen does not close early). It's obviously now freshly made (versus the blatent re-heated, pre-packaged previous "Italian" basics menu). Love to support those that want to be a part of the town and take pride in the people; too many bad chains have taken over. Haven't had a bad meal yet, and I've had more than a few.
