We highly recommend Same Day Heating, Cooling, Plumbing! Our old furnace had given us 50 years of good service but was breaking down and needed replacing. We wanted a company that was reliable, trustworthy, and would meet our needs for a new furnace but that would not pressure us into more than we needed. A friend who had his furnace replaced by Same Day gave a glowing recommendation and pointed out that they have to be good because they get many of their referrals from Home Depot and Lowe's. I had never heard of them but; once I did, I saw their trucks everywhere. I put in a call and set up an appointment to have a technician evaluate our old furnace to determine whether it could be repaired. Our appointment was made for the following week - but we were pleasantly surprised when Same Day called later that afternoon to tell us they had a technician available that day and "would it be OK for him to stop by in an hour?" Technician Chris was very knowledgeable and used a special camera to examine and show us rust and corrosion we could not see inside the fire box. Steve was called to determine our needs and arrange for the purchase of our new furnace. They explained that part of the process was to arrange for the required permits, inspection, and make sure we are satisfied. The following morning technicians Cameron, Willy, and Gilbert showed up and did a great job. Within a little over half a day, they had replaced the furnace and the attic ducts, made sure all the vents and air returns were checked and cleaned, installed a new remote thermostat, and the old furnace taken away. They ever took pictures of the work in the attic for us Today was the appointment for our furnace inspection by a city inspector. Because a ladder was needed to be set up for the inspector to access the attic on the second story, and my husband and I are in our in or late 70's with mobility issues, someone from Same Day showed up to put it in place. The inspection is done and the permit signed off. Same Day will be returning today to carry the ladder downstairs and take it away. Everyone involved did a fantastic job. The furnace is working great, and we could not be happier! This was all so seamless! We are happy with the price we paid, and we received a Military discount, Senior discount, and they even give you something if you refer a friend to their work. I cannot say enough about the stellar service provided by this company. Alan came out to investigate why my AC unit stopped working (it was very old). He was honest but not pressuring. I agreed for a sales person to come the next day to discuss options for a new system. Steven came the very next morning. He stayed for nearly three hours explaining what could and should be done, and added in what I wanted to be done. He went through all of my financing options and never made me feel rushed or expected to make such a large purchase. However, because of these two people and them sharing the owner's philosophy of being honest with the client and help them meet their needs, I went forward with my purchase. Two days later, a crew of four men showed up right on time for my install. Moises, Samson, Richard, and Malik were phenomenal! It was truly awesome to witness their team spirit and positive attitudes during the 7-hour process of doing what was on my work order. Moises called his teammates "Brother." Their communication with each other was top notch- prioritized and precise. They didn't skip any corners or try to rush through anything even though it was a Friday. Their communication with me throughout the day was clear, kind, and respectful. This crew of four were timely, thorough, and seamless. Watching and listening to them work was like watching a dance - they each had their role with specific steps but they did their respective roles with a team focus. This review is for the dream team of Bryant and Erick. We decided to add mini split A/C with heat to our home and were impressed by the positive reviews like the one I am about to write. We knew this was a major investment and needed it to be done right which is what lead us to Same Day Heating & Air Conditioning. Our project was not as simple as one day, but we knew this even going into the project. Our home was flipped and a few things like attic space or window support beams weren't exactly predictable or the same throughout the house. Bryant and Erick took this challenge with a can do attitude and communicated early and often when they encountered a potential issue. They walked us through everything before executing, and got our approval before doing any major installation. The project took three days, but they arrived promptly and left when they cleaned up everything for each day. Their attention to detail made us feel at ease, and they were very throughout in showing us how to operate the system. We ended up with 3 mini splits, one ceiling cassette as well as the outside cooling unit. The A/C and heat is no joke on these units, they cooled/heated the space within minutes! We have owned our home without central A/C for 8 years and it has been miserable. Additionally, they removed our old gas furnace which was not only ineffective in heating the entire home due to location and lack of vents but fire concern with the old system and gas. We're very pleased with our install and the investment into not only our home but our ability to not sweat to death in the summer. Start to finish this team is incredible! Justin came out listened to the household needs and concerns, requested a walk through and as I explained which rooms required AC and which rooms were optional (thinking that mini-splits was the way to go), he respectfully requested to see the current heating system since he saw there was existing duct work. Laid out the cost of mini-splits, then took the liberty to share several options to upgrade the central heating to include AC. No pressure just provided options. Sent me the comparisons for me to review. Although I took a few days longer to provide a decision, he was patience in his follow up communication and responsive to my questions. When I made the decision, he came out explained the whole process and even brought another to shadow him - Zachary. The installation crew David and Joseph, were so respectful and personable - and they worked non-stop - keeping me informed, sharing the progress, and getting the first day all squared up. These two had it all under control, so when the extra help of Pancho showed up (also pleasant) they sent him on, I guessing, to another job. Day two, David, Joseph, and new guy Lonnie joined - the work was swift (difficult at points due to the small attic space) - the guys were so informative, advised me of the wiring options to choose from, placement of an additional duct, With all this going on, I was still able to work myself without missing a beat. Its obvious this company values their employees! Each person I dealt with was positive, upbeat, mindful, and thankful for the business. While shopping at Home Depot, I was told about an $8.88 heating/AC comprehensive inspection (and saw banners about it), so I signed up for it. I mean, $8.88? I figured our 20-yr old system hadn't been looked at for a while, so why not? Same Day set an appt. and a very nice and knowledgeable guy, Chris Gomez, came and took photos inside the furnace, then showed them to us on an iPad, explaining about a crack and a gas leak that was leaking even when off. We set another appt. for another guy to give pricing. That was Mike McDonnell, also very knowledgeable and nice. He explained everything we needed to know, including things we didn't think to ask. Turned out, replacing the 2 parts would be $5500 but a new furnace would be $9-10k. We weren't thinking we needed a new one at this time but it made more sense to spend a little more for a whole new one. We signed up for their membership $12.99/mo) which would give us a 5% discount on parts for this and any other jobs, plus you get a free checkup on heating, cooling, and plumbing throughout the year. They are contracted with Home Depot so there's also a nice HD rebate, too! Amount depends on how soon you book installation. They had a cancellation the next day which resulted in a nearly $1300 rebate, so we couldn't resist taking that! Done deal: Jamie and Dominic came today to install and were great, too! They were able to clean the AC coils while the furnace was out so now that's set to go for awhile. Add to that 60-month no interest financing and we are happy (and warm) campers! I have been experiencing issues with my HVAC system for about a year and a half. The AC unit takes a very long time to cool the house, and whenever it starts, it produces a very loud noise. Additionally, the thermostat on the downstairs floor was not working. Because of these ongoing problems, I contacted Home Depot and their contractor, Same Day Heating, Cooling, and Plumbing, to conduct an assessment. Christopher, the HVAC technician, was very courteous and professional. He was the first to troubleshoot the system and was extremely thorough. He identified several faults and discrepancies, including a burnt contactor on the AC unit, a burnt resistor on the control board, and extremely low refrigerant (Freon) levels. He clearly explained the issues and provided two options: repairing the existing system or replacing it entirely. Michael, the design technician, then walked me through a cost comparison between repairing the system and replacing it with a new one. Due to the improved efficiency and simpler, more reliable design of a new system, I decided to proceed with a full HVAC replacement. The installation crew--Bryant, Malik, and Jose--did an outstanding job. They removed the old system and installed a highly efficient new HVAC system with great professionalism. They were courteous, respectful of my property, and conducted all required testing to my satisfaction. Overall, they did a tremendous job, and I am very happy with the results. While the installation was pricey, the saying holds true: you get what you pay for. I highly recommend them. read more

Also the installation team was exceptional in performing a clean install of 2 furnaces and 2 air conditioners, along with removal of all old equipment. Bryant, the lead, reviewed every step before they began, answered all questions, and gave prompt status updates, and a tutorial on how to use the equipment. The install team deserves mention as well: Jose, Gilbert, Malik, Richie, Eric, Ramon. Don't have the name of the person who came back to patch the ceiling because they had to cut a larger opening and he repaired it like new, including matching the wall texture and putting back up the crown molding. He did an outstanding job. The value is we now have brand new heating and cooling systems that definitely improve the value of our home. The new heaters work with our solar panels, and we have full house air cleaners to kill contaminants in the air. These systems are guaranteed for 12 years. After consulting with two other major HVAC contractors, I cannot speak highly enough about Same Day Heating & Air. Purchasing a new HVAC system is a HUGE investment. And, it was important for us to know that we were getting good value for the money. Jeff C. (the service technician who came to our home for the initial consultation) was so knowledgeable about the products and the installation process. He actually made observations that no other contractor had ever pointed out to us or explained. He left no stone unturned and he patiently answered all of our questions. Holy moly, I rarely am motivated to dig out my Yelp app to rush to provide a review but Same Day Heating and Cooling deserves it. In fact exceptional does not adequately describe this family run business. They deserve 10 stars for service, professionalism and quality. I had a 50 year HVAC system in my newly purchased home that was atrocious. Same Day was initially called to enact repairs but the answer was clearly to have a whole new system. I am SOO happy with the product. Not only were they fast, but they were kind and the customer service was over the top. They provided me a free diagnostic of the old system to help me in my claim against American Home Shield who failed to honor their repair contract. Same Day also returned 3 separate times to fix minor issues after install and didn't hassle me with fees (as one would hope they shouldn't ) to ensure the news system was perfect. They replaced rattling returns, filled holes left from the old system and fixed vibration of the fan coil unit against the house all after the fact. Not to mention the new system is so sleek and quiet and efficient! I love this company. I wish they did more than just HVAC because I wish every project I had for my house went this smoothly. I scheduled an appointment for a routine A/C and heater inspection because I ran into a guy at Home Depot and figured, yea my system could use it. Initial appointment was made but had to be cancelled. Two months later, I find time to get this taken care of and I am glad I did. I called and made an appointment for both systems to be serviced and was given a time slot. An advisor called back to tell me it is too early to do the A/C. That told me this company is about making sure the customer is taken care of. They could've easily set both and my cost would've doubled. Today, Donald, the assigned technician showed up. He was very professional, easy to communicate with, and extremely knowledgeable about HVAC systems. He completed the inspection, cleaned my filter, and showed me several pictures of my system to make explanations crystal clear. I am a visual learner so I really appreciated that. He provided detailed information and suggested, in my opinion, some very important maintenance tips, equipment, and upgrade options to keep my system in tip top shape. I received a detailed e-mail with everything completed and discussed during the appointment. I am super impressed by this company and would recommend them to everyone I know. This is my first review, and I want to give a big shout out of appreciation to Anthony, Carlos and Adrian for taking care of my family and replacing my entire 30 year-old AC and furnace system. Anthony came out for an estimate on a Wednesday and was extremely thorough and thoughtful in covering everything he would include in the installation, mask on and booties on his shoes. They were able to come out the following Tuesday and get our AC replaced. Living in El Cajon during 95 degree weather, I am super grateful they could get out so soon. Even bigger love to Carlos and Adrian for doing the labor and getting everything done quickly and efficiently. They had their masks on, were clean in taking care of the workspace, and showed me exactly what they were doing and replacing. Carlos powered through the 2 days installing the furnace and condenser unit while Adrian braved the attic. All that was old was tossed and replaced with the modern, down to the vents inside the attic and the registers. They concluded with a walkthrough of all the work that was done, a tutorial on my new thermostat, and asked if I had any questions. Fantastic experience replacing HVAC and increasing blown in insulation!! Adrian A. came over to perform annual service on my 19-year-old HVAC system. He explained measurements and issues with AC compressor. He then inspected furnace and found dangerous "dancing flames" indicating need for replacement. Alex V. came over and discussed options and new code requirements. A telephone call to Reuben allowed me to get a military discount and we agreed upon a contract. The VERY next morning Chris G. and Adrian B showed up at 8am to start work removing my old HVAC system. Turbo, Tommy C. and Bryant arrived with new HVAC from warehouse and quickly installed new HVAC and added a new duct and register to primary bedroom. They even tolerated my hyperactive dog being around them. On day two Adrian B. and Ramon L. showed up at 8am and installed blow in insulation as scheduled. They also installed a Nest thermostat and helped me set it up. Throughout the entire process everyone was courteous and professional. We called SAme Day over a month ago looking for a quote to get A/C installed. Anthony came over, inspected and gave us the most reasonable price we could have imagined. We would have had him install it right then and there but our HOA required approval. So we had to wait a month before doing anything. HOWEVER, Anthony was friendly and super quick. I appreciate you Anthony!! We just got our A/C installed about thirty minutes ago. I am more than impressed by this company and their employees. Rich and Javier-- you guys are amazing! So I've been needing a new HVAC system since we moved into our new home a little over a year ago. We talked to 3-4 different companies and all of their prices were outrageous and they seemed very pushy towards products. We had the pleasure of having Tony as our salesman. All in all I think he was here about maybe 2-3 hours, BUT we didn't mind. Tony is such a people person and he was meant for his position. After he looked into our system and found what would be best for our home we sat down for paperwork. During this time we were constantly chatting it up and cooking dinner. It truly felt like he was just one of our friends. My fiancé definitely has more knowledge of this kind of stuff but Tony made sure I also understood how the system worked. This is great because it gave me a peace of mind the system he chose fits us perfectly. He was very helpful also finding something that fit our budget. I know like I said after talking with other companies that they have THE BEST warranty program out there. 12 years labor and parts which is such a relief! I have been using Same Day Heating, Cooling, Plumbing since shortly after I moved to San Diego a bit over 3 years ago. After they added plumbing to their plumbing inspections, it has been part of my annual maintenance. This year when Jesse Puga arrived to do the plumbing inspection, I was impressed with his knowledge. I also appreciated that he listened to my concerns carefully. He made a number of suggestions. As a result I was able to work with him to pinpoint plumbing issues that I wanted addressed now and what I could defer. He had the parts I needed ordered and I scheduled the work done when it was convenient for me. He works with a great company that lets me know who and when the individual will arrive which I greatly appreciate. He has done the work needed in an efficient time and I am so pleased with some of the specific suggestions that I didn't even realize were options. With his help I'm sure we headed off some potentially serious problems. Yes plumbing work isn't cheap, but I feel he arranged appropriate discounts, and I am comfortable with the cost. I'll be continuing the maintenance program Same Day offers. When my plumbing inspection comes up next year (which includes draining my water heater) I'll be requesting Jesse. read more

Same Day did an outstanding job in installing a new HVAC system for us! Our house is 53 years old and had the original furnace which finally gave out on a Thurs. night in Feb. We had no heat the next morning and it was 60 degrees inside. Same Day lived up to their company name and sent their technician/estimator, Mike, on Fri. morning. He ran a diagnostic on the furnace and showed us that, because of the age of the unit, it would cost more to repair it than to replace it. He explained everything to us in detail, gave us estimates for a new furnace by itself and a new furnace + A/C. We decided to get both and were glad that they could have an installation crew start on Monday! The installers, Bruce and Troy, did a great job. They were on time each morning, wore face masks whenever they were inside the house and were a pleasure to have here. They were respectful of us and our home; they tarped the floor and wore shoe protection. They were efficient and managed to complete the installation in 2 days instead of the 3 days they estimated. They tested the new systems, explained how to operate them and left us with the proper paperwork and manuals. Their clean-up was outstanding on the day they finished. Bought a new filter for my heating system, and there was a coupon on the package for a tune-up for my system for only $29.95. A young man named Brandon arrived a couple days after I reserved the tune-up. He was on time, neatly dressed with logo on his shirt, polite, well-mannered, and professional. He spent at least half an hour on the tune-up, and then at least 20 minutes explaining what he had found. He even sent about 25 photos of what he had seen and explained to my email, for future reference. I was really impressed. I had had ASI do the same job in about 20 minutes for twice the $$$ a year ago, replacing the included filter with a torn filter to fit my system. That guy explained nothing. Today, I called this company, and they are sending a plumber to check out my plumbing system, which is suffering a drainage problem. I am sure I will find honest results and reasonable costs to fix the basic recurring problem, which several plumbers, including ASI, had tried and failed to fix. Most drainage companies have only a snake to fix such a problem, and the guys they send are nothing like the super guy from this company. I could not have been more impressed! Great customer service and exceptional professionalism displayed from start of sale to post ventilation install. I booked a same day appointment online through homedepot website. I received a confirmation text right away. My sales person William called 20 min. prior to arrival which was right on time. Bill was professional, polite and most important, not pushy and he focused on our specific need. He sent us a quote within a couple hours and immediately responded to my questions even though it was a Saturday and Sunday. Regarding the Techs, Lumar and Malic, they showed up right on time the next day and we're also very professional and respectful. They covered their shoes before entering my house, had tarps to put down to protect my floor all the way from front door and upstairs to attic entry. They even sealed off the room area with plastic sheet to protect my furniture located near the attic entrance. They replaced my ducting and made sure to resolved the low airflow issue I was having in certain rooms in my house. When finished they were sure to clean up the work area before they left.
