We have a water system that requires annual maintenance and filter replacements, and in the past the company was always proactive about contacting us, scheduling service, and following through. This year has been a completely different experience. They initially reached out in July to schedule our annual service, but I missed the call. I returned the call right away and have been trying to schedule the service ever since. Over the past several months, I've called multiple times, left numerous messages, sent texts, and emailed. Most of the time, no one responds. On the rare occasions I do reach someone, I'm given an appointment that is later canceled, and then I'm back to chasing them for answers. At this point, I'm extremely frustrated. We invested in this system and rely on the company to perform the required annual maintenance. Instead, I've spent months trying to get a simple service appointment scheduled with virtually no communication from anyone. Most recently, I called and specifically requested that a service manager contact me. I was told the manager wasn't available, so they took a message. It's now been two days, and I still haven't received a callback. The lack of communication and follow-through is unacceptable. We were given a special wrench to remove and replace filters as needed, but were also just told that replacing the filters ourselves would void the warranty. Make that make sense... I never do this but I think important for people who are considering this company be informed. We've had our system for a few years. My filters are starting to clog which has significantly reduced our water pressure to the point where my toilets can barely flush. I was on the schedule to have the filters replaced and then the morning of my tech texted me that the filters were on back order and that I'd have to reschedule. That was a month ago. I've been trying to get a hold of someone for weeks to at least find a temporary solution for my water pressure. It's been crickets! People are trickling in to Yelp to share their same experience this last month. The company should at least acknowledge their costumers or send out an email or text about this. Like someone else said in their review, a tool for removing the filter was left with us, but we were told removing the filter ourselves would void the warranty. We already had a situation where the filter was so clogged, we lost all water pressure so I'm just waiting for that again. We've had a Puragain whole house water filtration system for years. Our water stopped flowing through the house because the puragain filter got blocked. My husband and I have been called the service and maintenance number at least once each hour since this morning and we still cannot get a call back. We get through to a receptionist who assures us that our message would be marked "urgent" and will be forwarded to a tech who will contact us to set up and appointment. No one has called us back. Puragain customer service is non-existant and their product is bad. Our main Puragain filter is completely blocked and we have no water to our entire house. I have called their maintenance number multiple times and get a call center every time where someone says they can't give any information about the company including hours of operation or a direct line of communication with a manager or technician. They say they will "pass along a message" to the technicians, but no one has followed up. They hung up on me after I asked to talk to a manager or someone who could answer the questions they couldn't. Sadly I think we are going to have to hire a plumber to come cut the Puragain system out of our garage and replace it with something we can maintain ourselves (Brita pitcher, I'm looking at you) or just go without a filtration system. So very disappointing. Upon first inquiry, I was told the water system is $74 a month. Which is true, BUT.... The loan is at 10% interest, so you will end up paying over $12K for the system. I asked the sales guy who came over, are there other finance options? He said he would have someone from finance call me. No call. I called Puragain and spoke to a 'Ron'. He said yes, he thinks there are 0% interest options, he will have the sales guy and a finance guy reach out to me. No calls.
