We did extensive research and knew that we wanted a maintenance-free, whole house water filtration system. No adding salt, no replacing filters, no multiple tanks in your garage, etc. Molly from Superior Water was so friendly and informative on the Waterboy filtration system, explaining the history of this family-owned business, the longevity of their many of their happy employees, and the construction of the Waterboy units, made in San Diego. The installation was super quick and efficient, led by the expert Rowan and his buddy - the two of them were so synchronized, it was impressive to watch. They had the old Halo unit removed and the Waterboy installed in about a half-hour! The Waterboy has an automatic, scheduled, weekly clean-out, and they took the time to extend the run-off water to sprinkle the drier sections of our lawn and garden. Molly tested the filtered water, confirming that the Waterboy was filtering out the chlorine. There are still minerals in the water, but they easily swipe off with a finger. We feel more confident that our quality bath fixtures from Ferguson Home and California Faucet will have a nice long life with Waterboy. Yes, we recommend Superior Water, it was such an easy decision.

During the sales process, we were clearly told that the system being sold to us would filter the water for our entire home. After installation, we later discovered that this was not accurate. The system does not fully filter the water as represented, and we were informed afterward that a reverse osmosis system would be required to properly filter our water to the level we expected. This was never clearly explained to us before purchase. In addition, the long-term service and maintenance costs were not disclosed. We were not informed about the recurring service requirements or the cost of maintenance that would occur every few years. These are significant expenses that absolutely should have been disclosed upfront. We feel we were misled about both the capabilities of the system and the true cost of ownership. Transparency and honesty are critical when making a large home investment, and unfortunately, that was not our experience. I hope this review encourages the company to be more upfront and transparent with future customers about what their systems actually do and the full scope of ongoing costs. We are not disputing the equipment installed or the service dates. The concern is how the system was represented during the sales process. Most homeowners are not water treatment professionals. We relied on your company to explain, in plain terms, what the system would and would not do. That did not happen in a way that allowed us to make a fully informed decision. Regarding maintenance, the issue is not that the systems require service. The issue is that the scope and cost of that maintenance were not transparently outlined upfront. Learning years later about substantial service fees, replacement costs, and price increases is very different from being given a clear picture of long-term ownership costs before signing a contract. Saying the system "operated without issue" misses the point. Functionality is not the same as full disclosure. Additionally, your response references specific account details despite this being a general public review. Given that the system is not even under my name, it is concerning that internal records are being used in a way that attempts to publicly attribute and rebut a customer review. That approach feels less like clarification and more like an effort to discredit my experience rather than address the concern. Providing brief technical support on an alkaline filter does not negate the larger issue of sales transparency. Although, you or whoever we spoke to did mention working on some sort of discount towards service or replacement filters. With that said, our review reflects our experience. Based on some trash outside in the yard, the tech concluded that we need the entire property's copper pipe replaced and sent us a quote for many thousands of dollars. The copper pipes in this property was replaced only a few years ago based on records provided to me. The owner contact us to remove the initially negative review saying it was miscommunication. Ok, so I deleted the original review and gave him a second chance to quote the right price. I ask again about the loose pipe, and he responded with he needs to send a tech out AGAIN to go under the house to do a full inspection. And we would need to charge you several hundreds of dollars to do that. I asked why? And then there was no response. First issue, the tech already come out once before and saw and heard the loose pipe. Why do they need to come out again? 2nd issue, why do they need to go under the house to find a loose pipe. Even our non plumber handyman knew exactly where the loose pipe was based on the sound it was making. And without him telling me I went over to do the inspection and figured out the location of the loose pipe independently. The fact that this trained tech did not know where the loose pipe is located and need to do a "extensive inspection" is completely baffling. Either A. The business is just trying to get paid to do a useless inspection. B. The first tech was completely incompetent. Neither boosts confidence in the company or their abilities.

I was able to get a quote and get something scheduled within the hour of calling Dylan. He was very helpful in explaining my options, the process, timeline, and even what to expect after the job was complete. Dylan and Jeff arrived early on the start date which was awesome. They were able to get everything set up and running quickly, still before the originally estimated time window. Dylan and Jeff came back promptly the next morning to tear down, test and re-balance the water, and also went to brush off some algae buildup that I had in the pool. They both are extremely knowledgable and took time to help me learn more about how to care for the pool I was inheriting.
