Always go on Monday evenings for the VOL burger and fries. This is a go to if you like the taste of old fashion diner burgers.

Great burgers! These burgers aren't the flimsy little burger one normally finds today, they are large, tasty and a good value.

Sam & Andy's West is the best. Great steamed sandwiches. Burgers are great. Roast beef (pot roast) is better than your grandma's.

Sam & Andy's has been around for a long time. I enjoy this new location, it's very clean and up to date. The brisket burger is my favorite.

I opted for the steak sandwich on an everything bagel and it was delicious! My father was also very impressed with the pastrami Ruben on pumpernickel. I also highly recommend grabbing some custom bagel spread from the cooler and a portion of your favorite babka (I vote for chocolate) to take home!

The bagels are light and chewy, not bready, and even the plain bagel has a great flavor. We find the celery salt and sometimes the everything bagels to be saltier than we enjoy, but your mileage may vary. The sesame, plain, jalapeño cheddar, pumpernickel, and honey wheat are awesome. The seasonal pumpkin bagel was excellent, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we get blueberry once they're in season. If you get a bagel sandwich, I'd recommend sticking with a plain bagel to let the filling shine. We usually get the Potchke delight (add avocado, it's worth it), and my husband loves the beef bacon. They have upgraded from egg patties to small folded omelettes in their breakfast sandwiches. They just rolled out mobile ordering at this location, and I did my first order today. Fridays are always very busy there, but my order was ready way before the time estimate, and they made my coffee fresh once I checked in with the lady at the pickup area. I was very impressed! They have been really good about making changes to improve wait times (like adding a second person taking orders with a handheld card reader and expanding next door to allow a designated line area), and mobile ordering is a game changer for me. The employees are always wonderful even though they are super busy and dealing with a lot of people. Everyone seems happy to be there, and I hope that's a reflection of the owners treating their people well. Yes, the prices may seem high for bagels, but in my opinion it's totally worth it. I'd rather have a stellar bagel once a month than grocery store bagels every week. (Now if only they would also serve their matzo ball soup and borscht at this location, my life would be complete!)

Located in an established strip mall by a high-traffic intersection at Kingston Pike and S. Peter's, Greens and Grains is easy to get in and out of with plenty of parking. The interior is spotlessly clean (including the restrooms!) and comprised of two connected dining areas and kitchens. One has a trendy, airy feel with cool green and white tones, while the other is darker with metal and wood elements, a game area, and a large open grill/prep area. The reason for the two different vibes was not immediately clear to me. Actually, it never became more clear during the hour or so I spent there, but I can appreciate a good mystery. This is NOT a fast food joint. In fact, it is slow. Agonizingly slow if you're in a hurry. This is a place to come when you are with a group of people you find highly entertaining (or when you heft along a great book) and don't mind waiting. After ordering two sandwiches and sides, my friend and I waited almost 20 minutes for our food to appear at our table. The macaroni salad was pleasantly flavorful, without the overcooked noodles and runny sauce so often found with this deli counter staple. The turkey and Brie was also good and grilled to buttery-crisp perfection. The sandwich, side, and a drink cost just under $20, so it's neither bargain-priced nor exotic, but fresh ingredients are not cheap. Only one employee was working in each of the two halves of the restaurant, so I imagine if they want to speed up their service, they are going to need to schedule more people. The two employees were both delightfully friendly, though, and they aren't just paying lip service to customer service, a goal plainly outlined on all the napkin dispensers and evidenced by their actions. Despite the slow service, I'm giving them a 5 for their dedication to quality ingredients and excellent customer service. I hope they make it for the long haul, and I'll definitely be back soon.

Plus, the purchase price of their chips goes to charity - it was fun picking our charity of choice. Service was excellent! The staff was enthusiastic and I must add "adorable". I'm returning next week.

I had the salmon salad, which was fresh, flavorful, and exactly what I needed to refuel after several long hikes. The outdoor patio was perfect with a refreshing breeze and ideal weather, while the inside décor stood out with quirky, one-of-a-kind decorations. The highlight of my visit was my engagement with Jeannie, a manager filling in for the day. She went above and beyond--giving me a tour of the restaurant, making sure my food and service were excellent, and even sharing a fun detail about the décor. She explained that kids sometimes leave toys behind, and the owner places them on shelves--dinosaurs, tractors, and other little "Easter eggs" for guests to discover. Such a creative touch that made the atmosphere even more memorable. I've also visited some of their other concepts, like Chesapeake's, and the consistency in quality and hospitality is impressive. Whether you're a local or just passing through Knoxville, Corner 16 is a must-visit!

It's very open and spacious in the brewery. And now that I know it's dog-friendly, the pup will be coming with us next time!. They have bands occasionally, too - so make sure you check the schedule. We arrived one night, and the band was sold out - so we had to leave, but had just enough time to have a brew and a pie. So check in before heading that way to ensure you can indeed get in. It can get busy, and the line can get long - so be prepared, and you might want to get two at a time those nights. As for the food, I have to say the Greek salad was AMAZING. Super fresh, zingy dressing. Just so good. The pizza was decent - nice thin crust and fresh toppings. Will it go down as the best pizza you've had - nah, but it goes good with a cold brew. I had a "pick 2" combo with the chicken bacon ranch sandwich and loaded baked potato soup. Lots of food; I took home half the sandwich. Wife had the chicken broth ramen and thought it was very good, with some negatives mentioned below. On mine, the soup was OK but I thought underseasoned. No condiments on the tables, so I just ate on (so it wasn't that bad, obviously-- but condiments on the table or nearby would be nice). My wife is Japanese, so even when she thought of ordering the ramen, I asked her to please not be too harsh if theirs wasn't like what she'd get in Kyoto! She liked the broth a lot and there was LOTS of chicken with it. Her biggest issue was that the ramen itself was a bit thick and unlike typical ramen. Still, overall a good soup dish even for her high/unreal standards! Only drinks are bottled drinks (no alcohol). We asked for tap water and got served lukewarm tap water in tiny cups (see in picture). So, four stars means we liked it and would go back. Why not 5 stars? In addition to the above small points, I would add that good/great sandwiches are for some reason I great supply In Maryville! Its hard to beat out some of the places already very well-known for very good sandwiches (start with Foothills Milling Bakery, but I can think of 2-3 other places in the area that are very good). Very solid place but needs more amenities or novel items to get five stars.
