Starting out with some coffee and OJ. Waiting on the food to get here.

The breakfast here is amazing. I have not had a bad meal yet and it is as close to homemade that momma made as I can get. I suggest anyone in the area to try this place for breakfast.

    $40 breakfast

Id really rather give 3 1/2 stars. This is a little diner, typical southern country meals, but the prices are not diner prices. I paid $45 ($5 tip) for my breakfast of 2 eggs, chicken fried steak and gravy, 1 biscuit and coffee and home fries. My daughter has country ham, 2 eggs, 2 biscuits, home fries, gravy and coffee. Home fries were not great, dry, possibly frozen not fresh. But the rest of the food was good, my eggs were cooked perfectly, the chicken fried steak was great and biscuits were large and fluffy. They serve their ketchup in a tiny plastic ramekin with a lid, it was gross and had a layer of liquid on top that was hard to get over. It has an old school diner ambiance that I really liked but I just can't get over it being a $40 breakfast.

    Bacon egg sandwich, undercooked hashbtowns

I brought my mom here to try it when she came into town. Unfortunately, this was by far the worst breakfast experience either of us have had. The place was very old which made me wonder how old (dirty) the kitchen is. Our server was impersonal, bordering on rude. The coffee was tasteless, more like hot water for as much flavor as it had. We had a long 30 min wait for egg sandwiches which the bread was barley toasted. And to top it off, my hash browns were undercooked and still hard in the middle. Super disappointed by this place and sad I took my mom there. Hopefully our experience was a one off, and not their usual. I will not be returning.

They do not take credit cards. The ATM charges $2.25. The service is good and the bacon is thick.

I can't say no to a crepe so when we saw them on Yelp as a breakfast option I knew it had to be done. It's a fast casual spot so counter service but it's still a lovely experience. The woman who took our order was really nice (and particularly kind after a guy who had previously ordered pushed his way back in front of us because he had forgot to order a coffee). My husband and I both went with the Complete crepe (eggs, ham, and swiss cheese) which also came with a side of fries. We also decided to split a bananas foster crepe for a bit of sweet after our main meals. Everything we sampled was excellent. They also have a few pastries/desserts available and my husband got a croissant to go to nibble on later during our continued travels. The space is SUPER cute. There's plenty of seating and the upstairs area has a really lovely view of the space below. There are a few seats outside but they had filled up by the time we got there. I was really charmed by Knoxville in the short period of time we were there and I'd love to come back and explore more and French Market will definitely be on the list of places to revisit!

From barbecue joints to upscale dining, the city offers a wide range of flavors that reflect both tradition and creativity. Yet among all these options, there is one place that quietly stands above the rest for those lucky enough to discover it: Lunchbox Food. More than just a place to eat, Lunchbox Food is a true hidden gem, offering the best hamburgers in Knoxville paired with customer service that is unmatched anywhere around. What immediately sets Lunchbox Food apart is the quality of its food, especially its hamburgers. In a world where many restaurants rely on frozen patties or shortcuts, Lunchbox Food does the opposite. Their burgers are crafted with care, cooked to perfection, and bursting with flavor in every bite. The meat is juicy, well-seasoned, and clearly made with pride. Each burger feels intentional, as if the people behind the grill truly care about delivering the best possible experience to every customer. From the first bite to the last, it is clear that these are not just good burgers--they are exceptional. The toppings and buns only elevate the experience further. Everything complements the burger rather than overpowering it. The bun is soft yet sturdy, holding everything together without falling apart, while the toppings are fresh and thoughtfully chosen. Whether someone prefers a classic cheeseburger or something a little more adventurous, Lunchbox Food consistently delivers a burger that feels both comforting and exciting. It is the kind of food that reminds you why hamburgers are such a beloved staple in American cuisine. However, what truly makes Lunchbox Food special is that it is not just about the food--it is about the people. The customer service at Lunchbox Food is, without question, some of the best anywhere in Knoxville. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted with genuine warmth and friendliness. This is not forced or scripted service; it is real, human connection. The staff takes the time to make customers feel welcome, remembered, and appreciated. In a fast-paced world where many interactions feel rushed, Lunchbox Food offers something refreshing: kindness and attention. The employees clearly take pride in their work, and it shows in every interaction. Orders are handled with care, questions are answered patiently, and there is always a sense that the staff wants you to enjoy your meal and your time there. This level of service turns a simple lunch into an experience. People do not just come back for the burgers--they come back because they feel valued. Lunchbox Food also represents something deeper about Knoxville itself. It embodies the spirit of local businesses that thrive on community support and word-of-mouth rather than flashy advertising. It is the kind of place you hear about from a friend who says, "You have to try this place," and once you do, you understand why. That sense of discovery makes it even more special. Finding Lunchbox Food feels like uncovering a secret that you want to share but also keep close. There is something deeply comforting about knowing that a place like Lunchbox Food exists. In a time when many restaurants feel generic or interchangeable, Lunchbox Food stands out by being authentic. It does not try to be something it is not. Instead, it focuses on doing a few things extremely well: making incredible food and treating people right. That simplicity is part of its magic. The atmosphere adds to the charm as well. Lunchbox Food feels welcoming and relaxed, a place where anyone can walk in and feel at home. Whether you are stopping by on a lunch break, grabbing a bite with friends, or picking up food to go, the experience remains consistent and satisfying. It is dependable in the best way possible. Calling Lunchbox Food a hidden gem is not an exaggeration. It truly deserves far more recognition than it receives, yet there is something special about its understated reputation. Those who know, know. It is the kind of place that builds loyal customers who return again and again, not out of habit, but out of genuine appreciation. In the end, Lunchbox Food is amazing because it gets everything right. The hamburgers are the best in Knoxville--flavorful, satisfying, and unforgettable. The customer service is second to none, rooted in kindness and genuine care. And the overall experience feels personal, authentic, and deeply connected to the community it serves. Lunchbox Food is not just a restaurant; it is a reminder of how powerful good food and good people can be. In Knoxville, Tennessee, it stands as a shining example of why hidden gems are often the most meaningful places of all.

Thankful to have a reservation, we were promptly seated while others with no reservation were being told three hour wait times. I loved the vibe of Tupelo, the hanging lush green plants on the side of the bustling kitchen, the cheerful staff and the lively music. Lizette was our server and she was just a darling. It was our first time here, and she was so helpful with her all of her recommendations. One of Lizette's favorites was the "Peach, don't kill my vibe" sangria. Which I just loved. I nice mix of peach and pineapple in a sangria. For our mains, we had the grilled harvest chicken and the chicken tenders. Both mains came with two sides. With my grilled harvest chicken, I got the mashed potatoes and the braised bacon green beans. The green beans were to die for, even my hubby was saying he should've ordered that as his side. The harvest chicken I loved--especially the sautéed spinach, red peppers and tomatoes on top. But if you can't handle spicy, this dish does have some heat to it. And we ended my birthday celebration with the heavenly banana pudding. It was heavenly in every way. Made in house, and so delicious that even my hubby ate it and he never cares for this dessert. If I could've licked that little bowl, I would've. We already cannot wait to come back and try some of the brunch items on their menu. We loved everything about Tupelo and hats off to Lizette for making our night even more special!!
