This place scams you. The menu says the sides are included then they charge you for them?? Service was poor. Our waitress only checked on us roughly 3 times. It wasn't very busy. We found white paper in our sausage. Our vegetables weren't cooked. The eggs were slimy. It's sad to see a once great place turn into this. This is a simple, local eatery. Southern food and breakfast items seem to be their thing, since they have a large breakfast menu and they serve it until 3:00 pm. They also have lunch and dinner items. It seems like the staff knows the locals who come in here. The food was good, but not great. The service was quick and pleasant. The coffee was mediocre. The prices, however, were very reasonable. So if you want home-styled food for a reasonable price, this is a good place to go! P.S. Mamma's doesn't get the attention it deserves! It's the hometown restaurant where everyone knows everyone and you feel like family! Breakfast items are so good, it's real food not fake eggs, or potatoes and the biscuits and gravy are homemade!!!! Everything is made to order so expect to wait a little bit, they have a lunch menu also with lots of yummy items! They have daily specials that are deserving of a chefs kiss! Ok...just want to say upfront that if you're expecting a top tier Michelin-rated restaurant, go home. If you want an old school mom and pop where locals actually go, walk in. Now...I will say that because of being short-staffed, the restaurant had constant dirty tables that needed to be bussed. There was really only 1 waitress and she was booking it around the whole time. The decor was really dirty, especially the carpet and the bottles on the tables. I was close to walking out. But then I remembered that the place wouldn't be packed if there wasn't something good to eat there. So, I made sure I had some Imodium and continued with my visit. There was some wait, but...the food was delicious! Everything was cooked well and the coffee was actually strong enough! The country ham was legitimate and flavorful. I highly recommend. The pancakes were cooked well and so delicious. The waitress and the owner/manager did a great job with topping off coffee and water for everyone. All and all, I say give it a try at Mama's. I did not get sick and didn't regret going. Things would look much better if they cleaned the tables and floor really well. Also, I recommend getting rid of showcases that are empty. Just add countertops with storage if you're not able to keep the showcases full with the lights on. read more

My wife and I found this little gem online. If you happen to be in the vicinity of Seymour, I strongly recommend you stop here for a meal. While not ornately decorated. It is a lovely place to eat. The staff provides top notch service. Their cheerful attitude really does leave one with the feeling that pne os sitting in Mom:s kitchen. The menu is simple. But packed with real comfort food. The food was cooked to perfection, and provided in copious quantities. Our glasses were never in danger of running dry! The prices are reasonable too. Not as inexpensive as they were, say, 5 years ago, but by today:s standards acceptable. We have a short list of restaurants that we will dine at when on an rxpedition. Food is very good. My only complaint is omelettes have little to no ingredients in them. Biscuits and pancakes are delicious. Service is good and atmosphere is what I'd expect from a diner. Too bad they aren't open for dinner. I'd give them a try. Had breakfast this morning and was very disappointed. My self and 5 other folks were in the restaurant had ordered and my server took my order. So there is only including me 6 in the restaurant. Not busy at all. Had 2 scrambled eggs luke warm, rye toast barely toasted a very small amount of home fries the frozen kind warm country ham ok and one pancake ok. The only thing hot was the coffee. Food is good and reasonably priced. Maammy"s breakfast is 2 eggs, potato chioce, and bread choice. Bacon (4 strips). The home fries are like very thick potato chips that are soft on the inside. I haven't seen home fries done this way but thay were very good. The place is clean and the service is excellent. We will be coming back. read more

If you want a place locals eat at every weekend, then this is the place. They are always packed on Saturdays and Sundays for a reason. They are short-staffed, and it takes a little bit but if you are in a rush, go to McDonald's. The food is excellent, and the service is friendly. They genuinely make you feel like family. It's not the cleanest looking but look at their health score. It's clean good food good people and good times. read more

This place is consistently slow and mediocre. Half the time they don't even have basic menu items. There is usually only 1 cook who takes smoke breaks while customers are waiting, (forever) for their over-cooked food. I have tried desperately to make this my go-to restaurant. I bring family every time, but this place makes it very clear, they do not care about the customer or having decent food. The waitresses are getting screwed over, too.
