Hi Nelson, So long story short. We came in on the 25th had the stake special n country fried steak lunch. We we paid the bill cashier over charged us. Extra $10.99 dinner. Not a big deal until the manager came over and couldn't refund for a couple of day. Ok we left to go to Home Depot before it closed. Manager called us and said to come back n pick up cash. Couldn't make it back before closing. TC's grill is 23 miles from our house, 30 minute drive. So we stoped in today to pick up the refund, The problem started when cashier notified the manager. Cashier had me take a seat. Waited for enough time for my wife to use the restroom. Never a word from the manager. The manager walked by picked up a check from the counter proceeded to ignore us, No acknowledgment that we were waiting. Manager proceeded to the restaurant area helping customers walk back-and-forth carrying ice tea carrying on a conversation with the customers. Finally ready to give us a refund she handed it to us and walks away. I asked her if she could help me understand why she didn't help us when we first got there. Then it turned out that I disrespected her and it started a big blowout.! If you have video, please review and let me know where we went wrong. We never intended to piss anybody off. We just came to get a refund that she could've refunded through the computer system. read more

Even though the service was great, the food definitely raises some concerns. We had a burger, and the Hawaiian chicken with rice pilaf and a side of sweet potato. The burger was ok as expected for a diner. The Hawaiian chicken though was excessively salty, even after removing the sauce, it would make your mouth pucker. The server did replace the chicken, but now that I could actually taste the rice pilaf, it was off. The rice was slimy and off smelling as if it was several days old. I'm not one to complain much, but we brought the issue up to the manager who decided it would be fair to pay for only half of the Hawaiian chicken plate. In conclusion I would avoid this restaurant, but if you must try your luck, I would stick to a burger with hush puppies. read more

Four years ago the dinners were excellent and delicious. Chicken strips were so huge and delicious. The dinners were something to look forward to. But not now ... the tenders are tiny and vegetables were old and mushy. I have ordered take out three times and have been very disappointed. The bread was very dry and lacked crunch of grilling. My wife ordered a bacon cheeseburger that was cooked and served perfectly. Waitress was spot on with keeping our drinks filled! TC's diner is amazing..... minus my interaction today. we went in i got farm hand like always, eggs over medium, LIKE ALWAYS, never a issue they were runny like clucking whites runny , the GM KIM HAD the audacity to come out and tell me that I was wrong and my eggs were cooked perfect...... they redid my plate almost in retaliation and brought them out HARD AND FRIED eggs, like HARD AF, so then i told waitress i don't want it that's not what i ordered i asked for over medium. they were hard fried, she took it back the gm kim came out AGAIN claiming i was wrong and how they were made right, she only took 3$ off my bill FOR ONLY EGGS when i refused my entire plate.. .. i was NOt paying for it, i asked waitress for kims name and owners name (steve) and said id be filing a complaint, as a fellow restaurant GM her coming at me for my food made wrong is UNCALLED FOR!!! she then CAME OUT AGAIN BEING NASTYAF addressing me asking for steve's name and her name, and how she made them right and they were not over cooked...... she came at me THREE DAMN TIME.... she was soooo rude, sooo nasty and has zero respect for customers or if their food is wrong, if it's right in her eyes that's all that matters. i will be calling and talking to steve about her worthless attitude words us for asking our food to be done correctly, was there at 840 am on 3.29.25 steve ill be calling to personally talk about your gm that you may want to reconsoder! ps CUSTOMERS ARE ALWAYS RIFGH... even in my restaraunt read more

The fries were the star of the show. Very crisp! We went at 6pm and they were almost full. I tried to order a side of loaded potato soup but she said that honestly it wouldn't be that good because it's old potatoes at the bottom of the pot. I got a side of cottage cheese instead. The burger wasn't bad but those fries were killer!! read more

The food was good, I will say that, but the service was just awful. When we came in, the hostess had 2 other groups before us. She would seat one, and then just disappear so it took forever to be seated. Once we were seated, we had looked over the entire menu and decided what we wanted to eat before we were ever greeted or our drink order taken. Since we had already decided, we put in our order when she took the drinks. Someone else brought our food, and brought us a salad we didn't order. We gave it back. No one checked on us again. We spent half our meal without drinks because no one came to refill them. She finally came after we had eaten and someone else had gathered our dishes. Then she told us our food shouldn't be too much longer. I informed her that we had already eaten and were waiting on the check. It just seemed like they would seat someone and see who could wait on them, not assigned tables. I don't know. The service was bad enough that we probably won't go back. Stood waiting for someone to seat us for 10 minutes which would have been fine, if one of the 4 employees that passed by would have said welcome we'll be with you in a few. We finally were seated and after 15 minutes we still didn't have a waitress. No one was assigned to our table. Granted it was a busy day because of the annual car show held beside them. Excellent little place in what was an old Texaco station. No there's isn't a gasoline smell. The place looks old but has a charm to it. The staff was great to us out of towners. We're moving there in a few a months and decided to check the place out as it's right down from our new house. My wife and I both had omelets. And they were good. We've been going to TC's since moving to Maryville 8 years ago, and one of the remarkable things about the menu has always been the hand cut fries - delicious and lots and lots of them. It was something to look forward to when you ate there, kind of a signature item. We dined there tonight and were very disappointed to be served tasteless bagged Ore-ida type fries. I understand why cost saving measures have to be implemented in some cases, but , hey, when you're raising your prices to where it's $45 for a burger, a piece of fried chicken and some onion rings, maybe it's time to consider eating somewhere else. This might explain all the empty tables which are normally filled. Oh, FYI, $6.49 for the 1/2 order of onion rings gets you 5 (five!) whole onion rings... Parallel to 129 is a road called Old Niles Ferry Road, and on the corner of that road and Peterson Lane is this special little mom & pop treasure, T.C.'s Grill. They are located in an old gas station with nothing else around them. They have one of the most delicious Cheeseburgers in town, and don't get me started on the Mac & Cheese. They have anything from biscuits and gravy, chef salads, sandwiches and daily specials. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. If you find your way out in Maryville and are hungry, then go check this place out. 100% worth it and you won't be disappointed. One more to add to my list of Knoxville's Best! read more

I was in Maryville and went on Yelp to find a place to eat and it led me to this place! It's really cute, in a old gas station, classic car themed inside. The waitresses are super friendly and helpful. We couldn't decide what we wanted til I saw another persons spaghetti! The special today was chicken parm with spaghetti and meat sauce. It came with a salad, which could've been a meal itself! Piled high with shredded carrots and cheese, diced cucumber, tomato and onion and the homemade ranch was fantastic! My daughter didn't want a salad so she switched it for loaded baked potato soup, which also could've easily been a meal by itself! We also ordered cheese sticks which were super stretchy and delish! When the food came I got too excited and forgot to take pics!! But the chicken was fat and juicy and the meat sauce was full of flavor. Love this place, def coming back! read more

We called in 2 salads today. Mine I had to put through a strainer because it was so wet, standing water in the bottom of the box. I believe the chopped onions and tomatoes are frozen. They are see through and no flavor. I'm not one to complain, but $30.00 for 2 salads TO GO?? The lettuce is so big I had to cut it up before I could eat it. Prices online are not correct. This place went downhill when new owners took over and has gotten even worse. I gave it another shot after being disappointed many times. And then we both got sick from the salads. Such a shame. Endless supply of Southern hospitality and excellent food. The menu may be somewhat limited, but they take pride in what they serve and it shows. This was my first time here to TC's but it won't be my last. My bf and I had been wanting to try TC's and got the opportunity today and they did not disappoint. Emma was our server and she was an absolute sweetheart. We got a half order of Fried mushrooms with a side of ranch to start with and they were incredible. The batter was light and crispy and they were fried to a golden brown perfection. Alone, the mushrooms were delicious. Along with the ranch, the mushrooms were unreal. I got a regular ole bacon cheeseburger with fries and a coke, but the actual burger itself and its flavor was outstanding. The burger patty was thick, fresh, cooked perfectly with a sinfully delicious sear and char. The lettuce, tomatoes, and onions were fresh, cold, and crispy, not wilted and unappetizing. The portions you get will not disappoint either. I only took a few bites of my burger and fries and I'm taking more than half of it home. The owners here at TC's also own Midland Restaurant and our first time there was excellent as well. If you ever find yourself at either of these establishments, sit back, loosen your belt, and enjoy yourself. read more

Quite possibly the worst breakfast experience I've ever had. I wish I could say the food was cookie cutter, but that would have been nice. I got the ranch hand breakfast. Where to start the menu said 3 meats country ham, bacon, and sausage. 3 eggs cooked your way, hash browns and biscuits and gravy. Before I get much further I should say I'm a chef and know a little something about food! Ok I had 1 piece of burned bacon, dried out sausage pattie, and a less than half piece of what tasted like canned ham grilled " not country ham"! My 3 eggs over medium were more like sunny side up. The dehydrated hash browns weren't completely dehydrated and tasted like what I can only imagine was a flat top grill that had not been cleaned all day. And lastly both my canned biscuit and canned sausage gravy was cold! I can honestly say the best part of my meal was my orange juice from concentrate and my wife's experience was worse than mine! One of my favorite spots, especially for breakfast. Their burgers, chicken tenders, onion rings, shakes, soups, salads and Chile are all great. I especially like the potato soup loaded and maybe the best onion rings ever. My wife wasn't fond of the spaghetti on pasta night but everything else is top shelf. Our waitress was great and super sweet. There were 6 of us, mostly burgers were ordered. I personally thought the fries were odd tasting (like a bbq smoked seasoning?) The burger was pretty good although I didn't think it was anything to rave about. I ordered a side of mac n cheese also, but wasn't impressed with that either (it had garlic seasoning in it). I am from out of state and stopped here with my family, I don't think I'll go back though. Friendly staff though!
