I was impressed on entry - everyone was extremely friendly, even the customers greeted us. We placed orders, and visited for a while. Next thing I knew, huge amounts of food were being placed on our table - the wings are made as you order them - none frozen. I was accustomed to the flash fried variety at one of the chain restaurants back home. This was NOT a frozen/fried wing. This was a carefully breaded, fresh-fried wing, shaken in a really nice sauce, served with a curly french-fried potato string. Just a really good meal. I was afraid ordering just 10 was going to leave me a little hungry - nope. I barely finished all 10, and I remain impressed with them. Everyone in our party had a really good meal, and I truly look forward to the next time we're down in Johnson University country so I can get back to Craven Wings! My significant other and I came here for the first time today. We are wing lovers. I got wings bone in teriyaki flats only with onion rings. He got the chicken sandwich grilled with side of fries and 6 winless wings mild. Teriyaki wings were good but super saucy. Onion rings i was disappointed, to salty and some of them were asking of the purple onion. You take a bite all the batter falls off. His grilled chicken sandwich he liked however the bun is huge and the chicken small not worth the price. Bonless.mild he really enjoyed. Fries were soggy very disappointed. Was extremely disappointed tonight after ordering the bones chicken wings we got the 14 piece came w 3sauces. They ended up putting all the sauces on the side. Disappointed in the chicken tenders - tiny, small, medium - would prefer a more consistent size. The tiny was dried out, small was dry and more coating than chicken, but the medium was juicy and fresh tasting. Still not worth $1.29 each. The grilled chicken salad was a veritable messy disappointment, compared to the last time I ordered. The chicken was tiny pieces, as if all leftovers and ends, mostly grisly and chewy. I couldn't eat it. I don't understand the huge change since last time, which was lovely long, fresh-grilled slices over the bed of salad. The cheeseburger was absolutely delicious and will be the go-to continuing on. Fries were tasty, though a little soft - but that's to be expected in a delivery order. Craven Wings can be a good restaurant which makes this review all the harder to write. We ordered delivery through a takeout app. Craven Wings have not updated their online store front in some time. Because of that I was able to order a sauce they no longer carry. We were not informed of this until the delivery driver got to the store to pick the order up. This created an inconvenience for the driver. Unfortunately that was not our biggest issue. The replacement sauces we requested were placed in plastic ramekins that were not packaged separate from the hot, just cooked food. By the time the food arrived the heat had melted the plastic, causing the lids to lose their structure and sink into the sauces. Sauce was everywhere. Melted plastic floated carelessly in the ramekin. It was not an issue that our tenders got covered but even the fries were drowned. We simply feel like more effort and thought could be placed into the customer's experience. Update the online shop. Consider the customer before placing plastic containers with scalding hot food. read more

I really like their chicken, but I prefer the Choto location better. This place is very small, you have to order your food at the cashier station, and there's no alcohol service (Unlike the Choto location). That being said, the cashier was friendly, another friendly server brought us our food fairly quickly, and the price was reasonable. I had the 6 boneless wings in their garlic Parmesan sauce with a side of onion rings. I really like the onion rings. They use red onion and batter each ring individually, so they come out that way (not sticking together in a big clump). The chicken is prepared perfectly, and not too heavy on the batter. The chicken tenders were soaked in butter way too much in my opinion but I wish I would have tried them without sauce on them and maybe just dip in sauce. Just be prepared for the bottom of your dish to be drowned in sauce of any kind that you order . Fast and Friendly service. The place was busy which is a great sign of a local restaurant. Food was phenomenal. I ordered 40 boneless wings, 10 fingers, large fries, and potato salad to go. Everyone was happy with their food. The front counter workers were awesome and were very efficient in service and ordering. For my sauces we got: TN White Sauce, Honey Habanero, Spicy BBQ, Garlic Parmesan, Medium Hot, and Plain for the wife. Portion size was way above average and everyone was full and satisfied. Highly recommend! We stopped here on a whim during a road trip. My partner has gluten allergies and this place has a buuunch of gluten free options. The wings and fries are all cooked in their own dedicated fryers. Additionally, all the gluten free sauces are marked. Highly recommend the honey buffalo, a sauce they make in house. Their shoe string spiral fries are also incredible and soak up the wing sauce on perfectly! For wing orders of 10 wing or more, you can try multiple sauces. I called ahead of time to ask about gluten free options and the staff member who picked up was extremely patient and knowledgeable. Staff in the restaurant were so friendly and nice. I used to love the wings, but I'm done giving these guys my buisness. Called 10+ times with no answer, so I then tried to order takeout through both the website and the app, and was unsuccessful multiple times. When I finally got to checkout, there was no option to pay with cash at store. Some advice for the owner, people don't want to deal with a strenuous process while trying to order food and you don't sound very customer friendly in your rant on your voicemail recording. This was the worst wings, fries, & fried pickles I think I ever had. The curly fries were anything but curly. They were like long potato noodles that were wet and just gross. Inedible. The wings were unbearable. They lacked any flavor and they just tasted off... really off. The fried pickles were likely frozen. However, they were the best thing out of everything. It's just that wings have never been a food of choice so I'm indifferent about them. 90% of the time if I'm eating wings, it is because someone I'm with wants them. Yes, I've had not so good wings but I can't recall having good or great wings. Overall, I've only had okay wings and they've never passed that meh threshold. For the most part, the flavors are always the same: plain, garlic, teriyaki, lemon pepper, parmesan, hot, hotter, etc. I said all that say---I don't really have a preference from one wing joint to another. Have driven 45 mins from Gatlinburg to Seymour 2 times before today for their wings and it's been the best!!! Today it was a waste of $42 and a long drive for the over cooked dried out wings we were served and the half an order of fries. When we said some thing the guy behind the counter chuckled and told us the wings just sucked it up and the sauce separates anyways. We are leaving now headed to eat as we are still starving. Won't be coming back or recommending any more. Sad read more
