I love a good brunch or breakfast so I was excited to try this spot on a weekend (though the lunch and dinner menu look amazing). I went at about 3 o'clock and it wasn't crowded so I was seated quickly. My server was so genuinely friendly and cheerful, it really added to the experience. She answered the few questions I had and was able to explain the menu items in a knowledgeable way. I decided on the Wake Up Burrito. It was a larger than expected item, which was a nice surprise. Everything tasted fresh and there was a great mix of flavors. Despite it being close to closing time, I was still asked if I wanted dessert or coffee. Although I did not today, it's something I appreciate being asked at a restaurant. The quality of food, the cute decor, and friendly service ensure I'll be back soon to explore more of the menu! I highly recommend trying this spot!

We always love coming to redbud!! Their food is affordable but their portions are great. They have some of the best tater tots I have ever had!! Its always clean and adorable on the inside. The server was friendly and extremely attentive. A must try!

We went at about 5pm on a Saturday and there were only a couple other people in the restaurant. Even with that being considered it was almost impossible to find parking nearby which was a bit of a bummer. The server was kind, friendly and efficient. We ordered two pressed sandwiches. The Hillbilly Heap and the Meatloaf sandwich. I subbed steak fries got my chips. My husband enjoyed his Hillbilly sandwich but said the chips definitely needed some kind of seasoning. The menu said they were "fresh deep fried chips" but they were cold. I'm not sure if they were supposed to be fried to order by that wording, but they weren't. I had the meatloaf sandwich and it was decent. I wasn't a huge fan of the texture in this particular meatloaf, but the flavor was fine. The steak fries were cooked perfectly (extra crispy, which is hard for steak fries). The food came out in about 5 minutes from ordering (which tells me everything is pre-prepped and just heated up). Prices were decent. 2 meals including an up-charge for the fries plus 1 soda were 33 bucks. Pretty decent!

Broccoli, red pepper, greens, carrots, grape tomatoes, sweet potato, quinoa & dressing. Same ingredients as the other dish we ordered.

I came to try something I'd seen in a Yelp Menu Picture: the Happy Hummus Bowl. Apparently their menu is seasonal and our server said she "hoped" it would be back for Spring/Summer. The menu does what I wish all menus for all restaurants did: it includes information such as GF if the item is automatically gluten free, GF-O if the item can be made as Gluten Free as an Option, V if the item is Vegetarian, V-O if the item is Vegetarian as an option. There is no marker on the menu for any Vegan options, so we had to ask the server a lot of questions, but we're able to make modifications to things to get a couple dishes. One dish we veganized was the Veg Head Bowl. We also made something (which I cannot remember) both Vegan and Gluten Free. However, when the dishes came out, they were laughingly, the same items, just rearranged on their respective plates a little differently and maybe had a different sauce. We also ordered the Tots separately, which wasn't listed as an option to order that way on the menu. I'm not sure why hummus is a seasonal item, I hope they'll consider leaving it on the menu year round so us veggie lovers can have more than one true option that is also gluten free. I'll be stalking their online menu to see when the hummus comes back so we can try it. We went on a Tuesday around 11:30am and virtually had the place to ourselves, which was nice. There's lots of spacious tables and booths and it is decorated nicely.

So after eating here a handful of times and trying multiple menu items, I feel like I have a pretty good grasp of the food. The sandwiches are decent and worth ordering if your looking for a low key sandwich kind of lunch, or hungry while drinking next door at high wire. The load tots and potato wedges.... also pretty tasty. However their entrees I am not a huge fan of. The meatloaf dish was overly salty (the meatloaf and the sides) and dry despite all the sauces. Shrimp and grits was pretty loose and runny. Not overly salty, but just kind of boring and lacking any sort of depth.... Ambiance of the restaurant is nice, and the ability to order food and walk over from the brewery is nice. This gives some points.

So id been eyeing the menu for a few days before trying it out this afternoon. I'm a huge fan of anything avocado so I opted for the turkey avocado sandwich, and I substituted tots instead of the chips. The sandwich unfortunately was very underwhelming. When I think of an avocado sandwich, I want to be able to see and taste the avocado. It was so minimal on the sandwich that I could hardly see it alone taste it. Overall, it was pretty dry and bland. The tots and house made ketchup tho!!!!! 10/10!!! I was blown away by the flavor and the crunch while still being nice and soft in the middle. I tried one of my friends steak fries, and it was equally as amazing! overall, this is a place I would definitely visit again and try something different! Also 10/10 for service. I can't remember the young ladies name that helped us but she was fantastic!

This place is great! I've been there twice and both times were yummy. The chicken sandwich I got had bacon, cheddar, chipotle mayo and bbq sauce. All of the flavors went really well together. They have a nice patio next to a brewery. I think you can even order their food to the brewery which is nice!

Friendly staff, fresh food, and an excellent happy hour! I dined here on a Wednesday evening and had a very pleasant experience. The happy hour here is great- $5 dollar cocktails and glasses of wine and draft beer for $2 dollars off! The menu is wonderful as well and there is something for everyone. I ordered the chicken avocado and my fiancée had the smash burger. Both were delicious! I will definitely dine here again and hit up the happy hour!

Great stop for a sandwich, plenty of options on the menu. Everything we tried was very good. There is an outdoor patio on the rooftop as well as up front as you arrive. Parking is limited. We tried the Chicken Avacado Sandwich, The Cuban, and The Redneck Inferno. The Redneck Inferno was our favorite, the palmetto cheese and spice together was an unexpected combination that turned out really good. Only complaint was there was a lot of flies outside at the end of our meal. Overall good spot for lunch as the service was good too.

This place is awesome... It has cool decor. The service was really good - Holly is a rockstar bartender/waitress.They have a pretty extensive menu. I had the Notorious PIG with their potato casserole instead of grits with broccoli - this was an awesome choice - delicious...this is worth the trip to the south side.

They were soft, warm, and had the perfect amount of surface salt to complement the mustard that came with them. They were also served with beer cheese, and others at the table loved that. For lunch I had a veggie burger and I would say it's in the running for best veggie burger in Knoxville. It was THAT good. To keep it fully vegan order it without the chipotle mayo that comes with it, otherwise it is a vegetarian friendly delicious burger! Others at the table had burgers, fish tacos, and chicken quesadillas and all seemed happy with their food. It's a super casual space with cement floors, and I think they sometimes have live music. We had heard of this place for a while and wanted to check it out and we're so glad we did. The food and service were amazing. Walking in it's a narrow restaurant, that has a bar on one side and tables on the other with kinda a rustic feel to it. We were seated immediately and our drink orders were taken. Since we hadn't been there before we got water and then pursued the menu a little for drinks. I had a question between two drinks and the server was very good at describing the drinks and ultimately decided to try the Darryl Strawberry, while my husband got the Nor'easter. The drinks came out and they were really good. They weren't overly strong, you could taste the bourbon in each of them, but it wasn't overpowering. For food we got the OPA! to start and then the Billy for me and the Mother Clucker for him. The OPA was awesome. It's pan seared feta with honey and served with fresh bread. The honey added a little extra sweetness to the feta which went really nicely with the crusty bread. The Billy had goat cheese, bacon, onions and, a tomato jam on it. It was delicious. The creamy goat cheese with the bacon and smokey tomato jam all went amazingly together. I got onion rings as my side, which were crunchy hot and so so good. The Mother Clucker was also really good. I only had a bite of it to try, but was definitely impressed. My husband upgraded to the duck fat fries which were out of this world. Super crunchy, great flavor. Our server kept checking back on us the whole time making sure we were satisfied with our drinks and food, but we had absolutely no complaints. This is a great place for a date if you want good food or to hang out with friends. We will definitely be back.

Not Watson's? More Like... Not Worth It…read more Sometimes in life you have to listen to that inner voice. The one that quietly nudges you in another direction. The one I ignored today when I chose Not Watson's instead of following my true spirit to the Old City for a vegan tamale that had been pressing on my psyche all morning. But I ignored it. So here we are. This happened Wednesday, March 4, 2026. I was downtown on Market Square for a business meeting. The weather was nice, I had already paid to park, and the craving for fish and chips got the best of me. Not Watson's was close, so it seemed like the logical choice. But when the vibe is off... the vibe is off. Around 1:05 PM there was a line at the door. One party of four, two additional parties of two, and then me -- the solo diner. While we were standing there waiting, two women from one of the parties asked if I was waiting on someone. When I told them no, they kindly invited me to sit with them. A thoughtful gesture. But I declined. Maybe if I had accepted, I might have received better service. Ah yes... the small pitfalls of solo dining. What made things odd was that the place didn't even appear busy. Several different servers came to the front to seat people, but there was no hostess and tables still needed to be cleaned before anyone could sit. I almost left. My instincts were already whispering, go get that tamale instead. But the pull for fish and chips was strong, so I thought, forget it -- I'll wait. When my turn finally came I was asked, "Outside? High-top? Or a table in the back?" Well damn. It felt a little like I was being strategically placed out of sight, so I chose the table in the back. Walking through the restaurant I again noticed it really wasn't busy. Then I sat. And sat. Ten minutes went by with no greeting, no water, no acknowledgment. So I did what anyone would do -- I watched the TV in front of me. At that point the urge to leave was getting stronger, but me being me thought, let me give this another second. That's when a gentleman from the kitchen came over. He introduced himself and said he noticed no one had waited on me yet and didn't want me sitting there hungry, so he took my order. He mentioned my server would come by shortly. Spoiler alert: my server never actually showed up. I later learned my server was also bartending. Eventually my food arrived -- three pieces of fish, fries, and coleslaw (which unfortunately had absolutely no flavor). By this point I was hungry, so I dug in. First problem: the fish was fried way too hard, almost burnt. Second problem: the fries were so salty they could probably raise your blood pressure on sight. But the real issue? The fish had zero taste. None. If the fish had actually tasted good, crispy or otherwise, I probably would have eaten it anyway. But this was like chewing overcooked cardboard. When the gentleman came back, I showed him the fish and he immediately saw the problem. He said he would alert the kitchen. He kindly offered a complimentary dessert (declined) and offered to have the fish and chips remade (also declined). At that point I had lost my appetite. When the check arrived, it was half-price. Now here's where the math didn't quite math. You were willing to remake the entire meal, yet I paid half price for a plate where I ate one piece of fish and a few fries, after spending most of my visit waiting to be acknowledged. So I paid my $9, left a tip, and got the heck out of there. As I was leaving he said, "Hopefully we'll get it right next time." Next time? I left just as hungry as I arrived. The only silver lining of the entire experience was remembering I had half a Butterfinger sitting in my desk drawer back at work. Now that lit me up. Unfortunately, between the awkward service, the overcooked fish, and leaving just as hungry as I came, this is one fish-and-chips stop I won't be revisiting.

Myrtle's finally did, and now I'm questioning every church potluck of my childhood. Where has this been hiding all these years? Think cheesy, creamy, savory layers over tomatoes that taste like they've seen sunshine and prayer. It's rich without being heavy and hits that perfect spot between home cooking and something a chef bragged about in culinary school. If you come here and don't order it, you're robbing yourself. The fried chicken tenders are solid, the tea fine, and the vibe feels like a casual local spot where you can relax after wandering around Market Square.
