Beautiful restaurant and trendy atmosphere, but the food was one of the most disappointing dining experiences we've had in a long time. We're not expecting ultra-authentic Mexican food everywhere, but if you can't even get close, maybe don't put tacos on the menu because this felt genuinely insulting. We ordered the "small" taco board that we were told would feed 2-3 people, and it came with bland shredded chicken that tasted boiled, plus carrots, sugar snap peas, mushrooms, and corn scattered across the board like stir-fry vegetables. It also included the smallest portion of steak with chimichurri (Argentinian not Mexican), bland green salsa, terrible store-bought tasting red salsa, and "homemade" tortillas. There was almost no seasoning or flavor in any of it. The photo attached is just the chicken portion of the board because honestly the rest wasn't even worth photographing. The $15 guacamole was also extremely underwhelming for the price -- tiny portion of chips, one tiny lime wedge, and we were brought salt so we could finish seasoning it ourselves. Service was okay, but overall spending around $75 for two beers, guacamole, and food we barely wanted to finish was frustrating. Sadly, the ambiance and decor were the best part of the experience. Food was great but be CAUTIOUS if you are gluten free! Our waitress was super knowledgeable and helpful when I ordered and our appetizer came out fine I got a plate with GF crackers to go with the guac and they were really good. Then my burger came and I had even ordered a fully gluten free side with a gluten free bun even though I could have ordered the fried bc I'm normally not bothered by cross contamination. She let me know the chef was gluten free so I actually wasn't too worried about my meal but the bun did not look gluten free. So I checked and she didn't seem alarmed but checked with the kitchen. Sure enough it was not gluten free. They were somewhat apologetic And remade it but were only going to comp an appetizer which is wild to me. All this to say while I would go back and we all liked our food I would not feel 100% certain that I wouldn't be glutened. Also some of the tables are so close if someone is sitting behind you you'll have to move the table to get it. We aren't very big people and still couldn't get in. read more

The ambiance is cute and cozy, feels modern and classy. The food however was decent and some dishes are far better than others. We had the Valentine's Day pork belly appetizer, very tasty but would be good and well balanced over rice and maybe more greens. We shared a nacho board: the wontons were crispy, airy and very filling but small portions of meat. The disappointing part was the tiramisu. Looks nothing really like what I expected with the finger ladies having quite wet battery and excessive cream. Very cool modern venue with a beautiful bar. Service is good, better at the bar. The food is quite good, but honestly the cocktails could use a little work. I don't see much change or creativity in the cocktail menu. That is the area I would like to see stepped up a bit. I do like the outdoor tented spaces during the cold weather. We went here 5PM on a Saturday night, I would describe the ambience as casual elegant. We split the Zucchini Fritters which were perfectly fried and over a yogurt dill sauce with arugula on the side. The fritters were delicious and highly recommended and definitely a 5 My wife had the Point B Roasted Chicken Salad, very large and easy to split , the vinaigrette was good not great, overall a 4. I had the Roast Beef sandwich which was excellent and it came with a side of fries. The Roast Beef was freshly cut with a high end meat on a multigrain pub bun with a horseradish cheese and a side of au jus. The mini crinkle fries were next level really good The sandwich and fries were brought out hot an easy score of 5. The restaurant specializes in wines and spirits, but 3 draft beers were available and multiple craft canned beers. The service was excellent and very attentive. read more

My boyfriend has been talking about this spot since we started dating and he began taking me to Knoxville with him to visit family. Um...yup!!! Ambiance is fantastic with a really clean and classy vibe (I love the chairs at the booths), the service is spot on, and while the food is not ideal for anyone watching their weight....it's worth it as long as you can get a 90 minute workout in each day to burn off all the delicious yum yums. Highly recommend going with a few people so you can split the various boards. And if you're really into bourbon, scotch and whiskey then this is for sure the place for you since the owner is a Bourbon Steward and gets some amazing bottles you won't see at 90% of most restaurants. read more

This place was recommended to us so I was excited to visit. We started with a traditional board for 4 since there was 4 of us but it was more than enough. We had to box it. I ordered the Sirloin that came with potatoes and I subbed the corn for Brussels. I wasn't wanting to eat of the cob. I asked for medium well - the steak was slightly cooked more than that so it was dry. It came with some chimichurri kind of sauce that helped - wish I had a little more of it. we ended the night with bourbon banana pudding. It was delicious. Awesome vibe, beautiful decor, there is one waiter and he always asks your name ... the food is always a mix of flavor. I gave 4 stars because sometimes you order something and it's amazing ... but then other times you order something and while the flavor profile is good and often strong, as a combination, it falls flat. We headed in for lunch on a Saturday, the hostess ignored us and barely greeted us. The crab rangoon dip didn't taste anything like crab rangoon. My burger was overdone and had an odd flavor/seasoning which was not mentioned in the menu. When we asked about it, they simply said "it's the beef flavor" no it's not. There was something in it besides salt, pepper and beef. The roast beef dip was overdone and dry. No one asked us how the meal was or checked in. Poor experience overall. read more

Server started out very nice, but the espresso martini was terrible and very watery. I asked if I could just have a glass of Chardonnay instead. Hostess placed a table of three right next to me when the whole patio was open. I told my server that I was just going to close out as I was trying to read my book and now a loud table was sat next to me. After that her energy changed. Manager came out to give me the receipt, didn't ask anything other than if he can get me anything else. She walked past me and didn't even look at me or say anything - felt pretty cold and rude. We arrived around 10:30 am for brunch and there was literally no one there except us and staff. We were greeted and seated quickly but then it took the server quite awhile to approach us (she was sitting right in front of our table at the bar). We ordered the Point Brunch Board, and when we asked questions about the content, our server seemed like she didn't know and wasn't interested in asking. After our board arrived at the table, the server did not check on us as she continued sitting at the bar. The food itself...the eggs were scrambled and cooked/seasoned perfectly. The potato hash was great and we appreciated that it was in a separate ramekin to easily put on our plates (you must like onions to enjoy this hash). The bacon was crisp and tasty and the sausage patties thin with perfectly crisp edges. The waffles were two small triangles from one waffle and the pancakes were two small thin, pancakes. We thought these two items were limp and lacked flavor or imagination. The bagel was also disappointing, as it seemed like a dense store-bought variety. We weren't given a flavor option, but it seemed to be blueberry? Overall, the savory items were great, the sweet items a bit mediocre. In general, we like the idea of the breakfast board but the actual implementation of it was lackluster, as you have things like pancakes that need to be cut and eggs that fall apart when you try to scoop from the board and you aren't given a spoon, tongs, etc. Not sure we will be back in general, but if we do, it would be for lunch or dinner on the nice patio. read more

Our group had an amazing dinner here last week. We had a group of moms & daughters who hadn't had a chance to catch up in quite some time. I reserved an igloo, and it was perfect! The igloos are little domed tents with tables & chairs inside. They're perfect for colder weather, and ours was situated near a fire-pit. It was amazingly warm inside. We started with a bottle of albarino wine. We found out it was half price wine night, so we went ahead & ordered a couple of other bottles as well. The girls ordered the standard charcuterie board as an appetizer, and it was grazed upon by our group while enjoying our wine. Our server was super nice. He took photos of our group & was just generally very helpful. I know that zipping & unzipping the igloo was probably a pain, but he handled everything so graciously. For entrees, our group had the Chimichurri Steak, the Point B Burger, the Chicken Pesto Pasta, the Point Club, and the Po Boy. Everything got stellar reviews! read more

First & last visit. Overpriced, over rated. Lots of money put into the restaurant itself, upscale casual eatery w/ all the hipster local sourced meats/ingredients (which is great) but the finished product lacked flavor across the table, although presentation is very nice. For a $16 omelet I expect a "wow" omelet. Chicken tacos- zero flavor. $17. Breakfast tacos, same blandness. Roast beef sandwich my hubby had, said was good, not great, just good. So skip this place and go to Conner's or Chesapeake's where you know you're getting excellent food for $80 (4 people). Stick to your favorite Mexican restaurant for Mexican food. We knew it was one of "those places" when your water glass is the size of a double shot glass. Water was warm. No offering of normal sized glasses with ice for those sticking with water. I wouldn't complain about this but if you're going to do drinks do it like everyone else does. No refill offered on cokes. Service was lacking, maybe checked on once. Stupid paper straws...enough already. Actually, as I'm writing I'm becoming more outraged at having paid $80 for subpar food & service. We had to wait forever for the check to only wait longer because their credit card system went down. So we had to go scrambling for cash. Go if you want the feel of an upper echelon brunch place with substance only in look and feel and don't care to pay a premium for disappointing subpar food & service. Or have a few drinks and you wont notice the lackluster food. We didn't take any of the food home and there was plenty to take. You can do better, much better. Chef Ramsey would be horrified at the price point relative to flavor of food. We love food and eat out a lot and only rate fairly. I've had better at dives. I expect a lot for my money. read more

We're netting around a 4 out of 5 here after about 4 trips here. We were turned away our first trip there due to some reason around nearing close and staffing. Our second trip ran into some food items and drinks running out or just not being available. The third and fourth trips were actually great lunches. I am hopeful that over time things continue to smooth out here during the dinner hours to be as great as the lunch hours. Definitely a board fan, and would put the seafood board above the breakfast one. The s'mores dessert was fun to try once. Drinks are on the lighter side; not sure how much can change around that. Stopped by here to try the amazing taco board!! The restaurant itself has incredible ambiance - it's very cute both inside and out and the volume is perfect. Our waiter was so sweet. We got the taco board for two with chicken, steak and added avocado. The chicken and steak were absolutely delicious and the board was so incredible. They don't give you much avocado so debatable on if you should add that for the $2. We got the asparagus caprese for our appetizer and it was also delicious. The only reason I am not giving five stars is because I did not love the margaritas. They were very juice heavy and sweet - even when getting an extra shot to pour in they were still way too sweet and we couldn't taste any tequila (in a ~it feels like we're just drinking juice and extra sugar~ kinda way). read more

We went for dinner for ladies-night-out on Thursday. Parking was just OK. I believe I found the last available spot when I arrived. Our service lady was a little busy, we did wait longer to be served but overall the service is fine. It is a little loud inside. Six of us got a big round table at the corner, but we kinda have to yell so that others on the table can hear. The shrimp Louie salad was pretty good. The leaves are super fresh. Good amount of shrimp pairing with avocado, eggs, tomatoes, cucumber and the sauce is just perfect balance. Apparently the pesto pasta is very good, would love to come back next time to try it, and the fried oysters. There were a lot of celebrations going on when we were there, since we heard at least 5 champagne pops lol. read more

I was away taking care of a sick family member for a week. When I got home, I took my oldest son out to brunch to spend some time together. I had brought my other son here one time for dinner and he loved it so my oldest wanted to come and try it as well. When we entered, we were seated immediately. It wasn't as crowded as the other times I have been here, but there were still many couples and families dining in. Our waitress was incredibly sweet and attentive. My son had ordered a Dr. Pepper and forgot to order it without ice. When he asked for a glass to scoop his ice into, she happily said she would just get him a new one. That was so kind of her! I ordered the Limoncello spritz which was very refreshing g and delightful for spring! My son ordered the Triplet chocolate waffles with sausage and potato hash. He enjoyed the sausage and waffles (he especially said the syrup was "out of this world" ;) and I enjoyed his potato hash. For my meal, I got the chicken salad without routine. It was a big portion and very satisfying. I really enjoyed the dressing that came with it too! Although I have a gluten allergy and have said that my biggest (and only) issue is that there aren't many GF options on the menu, I'm finding there are some tasty options with the salads. But I would love to see some more GF options for those of us who have allergies and are tired of mainly having salads to choose from at restaurants. The shrimp seems like it came from a box at the grocery store and not fresh shrimp. The fries were good. The shredded chicken sandwich was just ok.
