Biscuits topped with scrambled eggs and gravy and a side of grits
    Susan C.

Seated immediately. Our eggs with biscuits and gravy, presented on colorful yellow and orange plates onto our brightly colored table cloth, came in a flash after ordering them. The gravy could have been a tad more seasoned, yet better than being over-seasoned with salt and pepper. Sides of smooth grits, fresh fruit and crispy bacon completed our meals along with water and hot tea for drinks. The only negative: the restaurant is super loud with so many tables in the dining room and booths along the walls. We needed to lean across the table to hear each other. This restaurant also adds a 25% gratuity for parties of 6 or more and charges 4% more if paying with a credit card instead of cash. Prices are standard for its awesome breakfast and brunch offerings, so overall it's a thumbs-up for another visit.

Delicious breakfast joint in Farragut. Decided to take myself out for a brunch date and try some place new. When I got there the place was definitely busy, which made sense because it was Saturday around 11. I got seated outside on their heated patio almost immediately. It would have been a wait for inside but the patio was nice and warm. My server was quick to come up and grab my drink order. A mimosa and coffee. Both of which came very fast. For mimosas they give you an option to get different flavors so I chose the peach and it was good. Nice and light. For food I got the stuffed french toast which came with a biscuit, two eggs and, chicken sausage. The french toast was really good. The cream on the inside and the berry drizzle over the top was delicious. It was sweet but not too sweet. The biscuit was light and fluffy and with the apple butter, even better. Surprisingly, one of my favorite parts of the meal was the chicken sausage patties. They had a nice savory flavor that also worked well with the biscuit. The food here was really good but the service was a little off. I don't know if it was because it was busy or what but it was a little disappointing. When I was waiting for my food, it was delivered to the wrong table. The server didn't notice and since one of the people there had ordered french toast (a different style) they were confused. The other table and I had figured out the issue after the food had been sitting there awhile. But it was almost impossible to flag someone down. The staff realized when the other tables food was delivered (a bit later). Instead of taking the original dish back to be recooked the person tried to offer it to me, which at that point everything had been sitting for a while, so I and the other table said it probably should be redone. It was remade which I appreciated but it was just kinda weird. The server also didn't even really acknowledge it, they just said it would be out soon. No apology or anything. I do understand that they were busy, but just a hey sorry about that would have been appreciated.

This place is one of my favorite brunch places in Knoxville. They're fast and very kind. We got here around 9:45am- told there was going to be a 20-25 minute but we got sat in 10 minutes. We sat down and ordered our food right away and we paid the bill and left the building by 10:45am. Also, there is a 4% charge when paying with card so I recommend paying with cash! The tables are very cute and the lights are so unique. The staff was very kind! We had Mallory and she was super friendly. A manager came and checked in and chatted with us and the busser thanked us for coming in. I highly recommend this place

My sister & I stopped for breakfast after my doctor's appointment. We wanted something new that neither had tried. She noticed Flying Biscuit was we drove by heading to another spot. Decided to turn around and try. Boy was that a great decision. Our waitress, Dasha was Awesome. She was prompt, friendly and gave great suggestions. I had a Peach Pineapple Mimosa and the taste was refreshing. My Breakfast Burrito was a great choice. I could not decide what to have so I asked a gentleman next to us what he had, the burrito. Glad I went with his recommendation. The atmosphere here is very good, bright and the place was very clean! We will definitely be back.

Quite the letdown Not quite sure what atmosphere they're going for, while appreciating the Ode to the Vols it feels very reminiscent of a preschool with all the drawings on the wall and mismatched tablecloths. 1st & last time trying chicken sausage! Dry, overcooked w/ oh so wrong flavor. Mediocre pancakes and the breakfast burrito is very lackluster w/ very little seasoning and a minute drizzle of queso. Overpriced mimosas. A redeeming quality was the waitress Joleen she was a gem!

Great spot for a family breakfast or brunch! It can get a little loud, but the energy adds to the experience. The ambiance is fun and welcoming especially the colorful tables, which give the place a unique and cheerful vibe. The food was delicious, and the service was friendly and attentive. Definitely a place we'll come back to!

Fresh fruit and breakfast burrito! Delicious...gotta get it if you love breakfast burritos like we do!

Coming in, you're greeted woth a friendly staff, helpful even when busy! The owner came by to check to see if we were having a good meal, and chatted with us twice. I ordered the chicken and waffles with honey butter, and a white Russian (double vodka) and it was delicious. Felt like the Dude was right with me. My husband ordered the breakfast burrito and fresh fruit, not only was the few bites I had of his burrito amazingly delicious, the fruit tasted fresh and full of flavor as well. The atmosphere is laid back, with bright table cloths and easy to slide chairs, booths line the walls, and I will thrilled to watch Teenage mutant ninja turtles on the screen on the far wall! All in all the only down side, or disappointment, was their regular coffee. My husband had to exchange it for a latte, and it was much better. For my take, and my husband's, you gotta stop by and at least try it for the food, stay for the ambiance and service. Order the latte

    hangover hash
    Kate E.

it wasn't my favorite, the hangover hash tasted almost grainy and the chicken chorizo just didn't pair well with the bowl. I wasn't wowed by anything I tried. service was very good but the booth we were in (there were 6 of us) was super tight and uncomfortable. i'd try it again but i'm not rushing back.

Have to come back and try this

1st time...NOT THE LAST! Sipping my spicy Bloody Mary...I don't even know where to start with the fabulousness Is it the Nashville Spicy Chicken Tenders on a waffle with chicken gravy and over medium egg? Served hot. Is it the pancake breakfast? Hot. Or is it Joleen? Waitress extraordinaire..cheerful, quick, got our order right the FIRST time? No matter....RUN don't walk to this fun (see the murals) quirky restaurant with a wonderful menu.

We stopped in for brunch on the 4th of July . Love the brightly painted murals and fun table covers! I had the Hollywood omelette and my husband had the steak and eggs. His steak was cooked exactly as he asked . I loved the warm tomato coulis on my Hollywood omelette.so tasty! I had to share my biscuit because his meal didn't come with one :( . Great coffee and our server Sydney was kind and polite.

    Breakfast burrito!

Get the breakfast burrito!! Really loved the food even the eggs Benedict my wife ordered was delicious!! Farragut has a lot of spoiled entitled people. Ignore the reviews and enjoy good food here

Enjoyed my entire experience here from start to finish! We sat outside at the patio and enjoyed the weather. I ordered the Mick breakfast sandwich which was like a high quality McDonald's breakfast sandwich with a side of grits. I enjoyed both of them thoroughly! My friends also enjoyed their food and they got French toast and the hangover hash. The drinks were delicious and our server Chase was very accommodating with our needs! Highly recommend!

It's a great place to go to get a lot of southern comfort foods, some with nice twists as well, and it has a full bar, and open for all meals I believe. We went years ago to the first location in Knoxville, maybe a few times, but felt "been there done that" as more and more good restaurants came downtown. Happy to see this new location, closer to a lot of things we do in west Knox. I had a GREAT lunch. Bloody Mary, then one of their low-cost specials ($11 for a half sandwich and side, basically). The sandwich was hot chicken with ranch and pickles and it was scrumptious. I had a problem choosing sides- so many great options including brussel sprouts, fried okra, Mac&cheese and salads.....I finally chose the green beans with bacon. Oh, they were soooo good. I could have made my meal just that and some cornbread. Next time I may get a veggie platter or just get extra sides, gotta try the others to see if they are cooked as well. The guacamole was good, but the chips could've used some salt. Entree wise the shrimp and grits was great, but it was the smallest amount of grits I've ever gotten in a dish. The shrimps were cooked perfectly though. In general the entrees looked smaller than other restaurants but felt it was the perfect size to not be overly full. We ordered all three desserts and they were all yummy in their own way. I love banana pudding, this one had a kick of bourbon. The panna cotta wasn't too heavy on the coconut flavor and was creamy. The beignets were warm and so good as well! If I were in the area I would definitely be back for brunch!

I don't even think it was Romaine, I think it was butter lettuce, but the lettuce was so warm and limp, it was like somebody left the salad on their dashboard with the sun beating down on it. No croutons, which was nice because I don't eat them anyways but at this point I'm starting to get skeptical because I just spent Texas Roadhouse type money on a truck stop diner. This is the place that officially made me a fried chicken fan -- and no fried chicken has ever come close to Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken! Address: 126 Lovell Rd, Farragut, TN 37934 Food: 6/5 My go-to meal is the 3-piece Chicken Tenders with French Fries and Baked Beans, with an added Chicken Breast. Gus's chicken is the best fried chicken I have ever had. It's perfectly cooked with an incredible crunch on the outside, while staying moist and juicy on the inside. The spices are absolutely delicious! I've been here over 15 times, and the consistency has always been amazing every single visit. The baked beans are also the best I've ever had. The French fries are seasoned perfectly with a great crunch while still having a fluffy texture inside. ‍Service: 6/5 The service at Gus's is top tier. Every server treats each table like they're the most important customers in the building. Special shoutout to Daisy -- the last few times I've visited, she has been my server, and she remembers me every time. She even knows my order by heart now! She is genuinely one of the nicest and best servers I've ever had at any restaurant. Atmosphere: 5/5 I absolutely love the vibes at Gus's. I always feel right at home whenever I walk in. The design and menu perfectly match the restaurant's personality, and the place is always clean with plenty of comfortable seating. Value: 5/5 The prices and portions are both an A+ for me. I ordered extra food this time, but you can easily get a fantastic and affordable meal here. Final Thoughts I absolutely love Gus's, and it will forever be one of my go-to spots before going to a movie. This is some of the best fried chicken you will ever have -- if not #1, then easily Top 3 of all time. Bring your family, let Daisy take care of you, and enjoy an incredible meal!
