Famous Pecan Chicken Salad. Have you ever in your life seen anything like this?
Ruann L.

Here's the deal about Burchfields restaurant inside the Double Tree Hotel, they are not busy enough to be open for lunch. They may not be busy enough to be open for dinner. I didn't stay to find out. Believe it or not, we waited 5 minutes for the hostess to seat us in an empty restaurant. She was busy doing something else and wasn't monitoring her station. We sat at a window which was a nice place to dine after sitting in a conference room for 4 hours. The table seemed clean, the flatware clean, the dishes clean as well. Our server was kind and moderately attentive. She offered bread. When it arrived the bottom of both rolls were saturated in butter, we think. It tasted like it was baked over a week ago. I ordered the Black and Blue Salad. My friend ordered what she thought was "chicken salad". (Pictures included) it was called Famous Pecan Chicken Salad. We laughed. What on Earth! A scoop of chicken salad in between two slices of pineapple? I cannot speak to the chicken salad plate other than it was weird. My Black and Blue Salad was under dressed. I'm not sure there was any dressing on it. The steak, though perfectly cooked, was cold. It's weird to eat cold steak. The seasoning on top of the steak was overkill. OH...AND there were POTATO CHUNKS on top of the salad! What the heck?!!! I thought they were croutons but they were potatoes! See the pic attached to this review. Unreal! What can I say except that we had an hour to eat. It was food but I would never, ever, dine at Burchfields again. I suspect this location isn't busy enough to have fresh ingredients!

Sending this dish to the table is an insult to your own kitchen. It takes 1 second to wipe a place.

It's amazing how a restaurant can tumble from a total hit to total shit. I pulled into the parking lot on a Thursday between 6 and 7 pm and had no trouble finding a great spot this is the sign that something's fishy. I walked up to find a near empty place and no staff at the reception desk. They were busy collecting a kitchen return dish at the one occupied table. The over made up hosted showed me to a great table (because they were all empty) and I waited for the lone waitress. A sweet young lady who except for having to ask for a refill of my water glass was perfectly fine at her job. I ordered the bang bang shrimp appetizer and it want to bad but the celery sticks looked like they were dirty and old. A little quick knife work or running them under some water could have saved this fiasco. My entree was the chicken masala and it sucked! It sucked because the small single chicken cutlet was smothered in a flavorless brown gravy not masala sauce. It had an asparagus rice dish that was made with the most nasty looking butt end pieces of asparagus. Who got the flavorful pretty tips? The best part of this dish was the ample load of broccoli tops. Here's where this dish lost points. The failed to wipe the plate and it just looked bad! Who's in that kitchen? No self respecting chef! Compared to my previous visit it seems like nobody cares back in the kitchen. Here's the last bad move. I sat and had a full meal but the manager decided to pass my table and greet a couple who were seated a short while after me. This dickhead just blew me off and that's just wrong. Maybe he knew I would tell him exactly how I felt about my let down experience. Maybe this would get him to make the changes to get more asses in the seats. My guess is he just wants to eek by just like the kitchen staff. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME IN THIS PIT. FIND ANOTHER PLACE TONEAT BUT AVOID THIS PLACE.

Bar area with Haley taking care of us.

We have visited the restaurant and bar area many times over the years when we go to WindRock. Last night, the bar was pretty busy but our bartender, Haley, cracked a smile and made everyone feel at home. She anticipated every order and remembered everyone's name. Please hire more Haley's!!!

We sat at the bar about 3 ish and she was polite but rather non smiley, but with said she came by to check on us as others piled on in and for good reason. GREAT FOOD ! The restaurant and bar are very small but they have an added features outside for all us pets and families with children they have a fenced in yard area with tables and shade the inside is super clean and nicely decorated we will be going back while we are here in town for two more months. It's a great locals gathering place as well as very welcoming to visitors.

Looking about,…read morewe reviewed the local places to eat something, and wishing to avoid any of the corporate places we found Woody's was pretty close-by. This is one of the magical things about looking for places to eat on-line... you will sometimes find places that you would completely pass over if you were to look at them from the road. This is one of those places. The place is very non-descript, and definitely a locals kind of place. When we walked in there was a small party going on that looked like it was wrapping up, and we were able to get a table. We were greeted warmly, so they do have their hospitality game working for them. There is an outdoor seating area, but as it was getting dark we opted for sitting inside. We both ordered burgers... there are no fries on the menu, which was surprising until we figured out that they don't have a deep fryer. All good there... we can make do with alternatives! I went for the mac and cheese. When the burgers came out, oh boy... these burgers are quite generous and my mother could only finish half of hers. Not a problem there either... it made a very nice little lunch item the next day. The burgers are quite good, and we would absolutely return for them!

Aubrey's is almost always packed, which makes it seem like a standout spot in our small town. After…read morevisiting a few times, though, I've found it to be... pretty average. They do offer outdoor seating, which is nice, although I'm not sure yet if it's dog-friendly--something I'll have to check out next time. We usually sit at the bar, and one thing I've learned is that you need to be very specific with your drink order if you have preferences. For example, if you order a dirty martini without clarification, be prepared for a glass that tastes almost entirely like olive brine. Asking for "light" on the olive juice is a must. Even a standard vodka martini doesn't automatically come with a lemon twist, which feels like a small but noticeable miss. Service has consistently been solid--friendly and attentive, about what you'd expect. The food, however, has been hit or miss. I tried the FGTs twice, hoping the first experience was just an off night, but they still weren't memorable enough to order again. The steak tips appetizer has been the one standout for us--really flavorful--but if you're planning on ordering a steak entrée, doubling up on steak feels a bit redundant. The salads that come with the meals are reliably good, and the steaks themselves are decent, especially with the loaded baked potato on the side. That said, I ordered a fish dish on one visit that was forgettable enough that I can't even recall exactly what it was--just that I wouldn't order it again. Overall, Aubrey's is perfectly fine, but it hasn't wowed me. At this price point, I think there are better options around town. We might stop back in from time to time if we're in the mood for something different.

Lots of tables , booths and bar tables. Big TVs in the bar with the games on. The food was amazing. Had grilled salmon tacos and I was there was more. My friend had a pizza and it was great as well. The chips were so good too! I will be coming back to try more of the menu .

However, we were seated right away. Our server immediately brought us coffee and got our 8 year old some hot chocolate (loaded with whipped cream and chocolate sauce, which he loved). It took a little bit for us to figure out what we wanted because there were so many good options. I went with their Italian inspired omelet with sausage, cheese, roasted peppers and tomatoes. My husband got the pick two from the lunch side with the super food kale salad and ham and Gruyère melt. While our son got the kids bacon and eggs with fruit and toast. The food came out at a good pace and was hot when it arrived. I loved my omelette. It tasted fresh and light and I loved the pop of the roasted tomatoes in it. The toast and jam they served with it were great. The grain bread was so good. I ended up getting potatoes instead of the salad (no extra charge) and they made them crispy which was just how I wanted them. The surprise for both my husband and I was the salad he got. Normally, neither of us are fond of kale but in that salad it was delicious. It wasn't super tough or butter which can sometimes be an issue. The melt was also good. Our son devoured his entire plate and was super happy with everything. Which is always a huge plus. This was a perfect place to come with everyone. It was inviting, fast and with good food. There are so many options that there is something for everyone and no one left still hungry or disappointed.

Slightly felt pressured to order quickly, in terms of food we got the salmon Benedict and the steak n eggs chimichurri. Food is saltier than I would like, like actually really salty especially the potatoes aka hashbrowns. Also not really a steak more like small beef pieces but there wasn't that much, 15% meat, 80% potaoes not hashbrowns, eggs very fine. Portions for Benedict smaller than expected. Overall food was fine, there's notice brunch spots in the area, but I wouldn't necessarily seek this out.

Hmmmm, I really wanted to love this place as it's in my hood, but I was kinda let down…read more The staff when we went were super young and seemed a lot were new so I was trying to be patient. But the sweet girl taking orders didn't really know what she was doing and put in our order a bit wrong. The couple in front of us had their order messed up too. The interior of the place wasn't that inviting or clean, but we opted to eat in anyway. But IF we go back that won't be happening. My husband got a basic cheese pizza because that's how he judges all pizza places the first time around. It was just OK to him. I got the pickle chips since they were 'breaded in-house' and the BBQ Burger. The pickle chips were so over-seasoned and salty I couldn't even eat them - and I LOVE salt. What a shame. The only redeeming thing was the burger and fries. While the burger didn't have what it was supposed to on it and you don't get the option on the temperature of the meat, it was still a good burger. The fries were also super crispy and fluffy inside. So pretty hit-and-miss for me. I'm going to have to think twice before I go back.

This place was a bit of a hike for us but so worth it for the delicious pizza. We ordered a pepperoni pizza, garlic knots, and deluxe hibachi that comes with beef, chicken, and shrimp and a side salad and soup. If we were rating this place on the pizza and knots alone-5 stars all day long. The crust is so light, chewy and flavorful. The garlic knots actually remind me of the super unique rolls at the local Brazilian steakhouse. They have an outer chew but the inside is so soft that it almost melts in your mouth. The hibachi was...okay. My first bite of the entire meal was the beef and it was unfortunately so chewy that it was inedible. I crossed my fingers it was just that one piece. Nope. Our family ended up discarding every piece of beef, which was an expensive disappointment. The shrimp and chicken were tasty but overshadowed by the sea of onions and mushrooms. We were grateful for the salad and soup, although we couldn't distinguish what the soup was meant to be. My kiddo asked what the hot, brown salt water was. :-) The ginger salad was iceberg lettuce with a very thick, chunky ginger dressing. If that's your thing, rock on! For hibachi, we will probably stick with Fuji. In general, we will be back for the pizza soon and look forward to trying the burgers, which we've heard are great.
