We rolled in at exactly 9:13 a.m. on Saturday, and yes, I'm timestamping this because by 9:13 they were already SOLD OUT of Chocolate Holes. Gone. Vanished. Clearly I was late to the party and the early birds knew what was up. Respect. Did we panic? Absolutely not. We pivoted like seasoned donut professionals and started with two dozen glazed holes. That's right. TWO. DOZEN. Most didn't make it home. "We'll just have one" turned into "wait, how many are left?" Then came the full dozen assortment: *Custard filled - dangerously good *Cream filled - no regrets *Chocolate cake - classic, solid, dependable *Glazed - because you can't not And then... the Strawberry Glazed Let me tell you about that Strawberry Glazed. BAM. Sooooo good. Like, pause-the-conversation good. Like, "why did we only get one?" good. They also have breakfast sandwiches if you're pretending to be responsible. Plenty of seating inside, so you can sit there and question your life choices while eating donut number four. The service was friendly, quick, and didn't judge our order size (at least not out loud). I have to say this place has the absolute best glaze donuts I have ever had anywhere! They are amazing. The service is super friendly and very pleasant. The store is very clean and has ample seating if you want to sit and enjoy a donut and a drink. Do yourself a favor and try this place out. You will not regret it! read more

These donuts are delicious. The yeast one have a wonderful flavor and texture. The cake donuts are not heavy or greasy tasting. The people who run this location are very friendly and efficient. This used to be the BEST donut place in all of Knoxville but NOT NOW! Last time we had hair in our donuts. We did not complain because everything prior to that visit was wonderful. This morning my hubby picked up donuts but the old woman put the wrong donuts in our box. We discovered this after we got home so we returned to the store to get the correct donuts. The woman ARGUED, argued, ARGUED that we ordered Bear Claws when we actually ordered cinnnamon rolls. Finally, she took the bear claws out of the box that had already been in our home, and put those donuts right back on the rack to serve to another customer. Two customers walked out the door seeing that! Rude and not safe or healthy!! NEVER GO AGAIN! If she does this in front of a line of customers, I worry about how safe and clean things are in the kitchen! read more

The donuts are made freshly every morning, and they taste amazing. There's a very wide selection available to choose from if you get there before noon. They open super early, so it's easy to get before work, and the prices are average, though not extreme. There's seating if you want to eat in, but the drive thru is most convenient. I came upon this gemstone while visiting oak ridge by pure luck. It's 9am & I haven't had breakfast. The diner I'm looking for didn't open till 11. Burger King is the last place you'll find me. KFC doesn't do breakfast, then across the street wearing a crown like a halo was, The Donut Palace. I was happy to see they offered hot sausage croissants bc I was craving something savory, but I couldn't pass up a little sweetness. I came out with an apple fritter, 2 raspberry filled glazed donuts, & a jalapeño sausage wrapped in croissant. I can't remember what they called it, but it was delicious! Yummy! Went here around 10:30 am on a Saturday and ordered some sausage cheese croissants and chocolate frosted yellow cream donuts (Boston cream mmm) through the drive-thru and they were delicious! We went to the donut palace for dessert. I was impressed with the selection and the case was well stocked and organized even in mid afternoon. The worker was polite and helpful. One of the things I was most impressed with was the dining area. It was clean and well layed out. It had tables and chairs.... a bar with stools..... and a very comfortable couch that had outlets that included USB outlets. They could use a couple more comfy chairs and a coffee table. The Old-Fashioned Yeast Donut is, by far, the best in my opinion. They are offered in original glaze and chocolate iced. I haven't tried the chocolate iced yet, but if you want to try one - GO EARLY!! Once they sell out, that's it! Not a fan of cake-type donuts but they have those, yeast donuts, and the old-fashioned.
