We rolled in at exactly 9:13 a.m. on Saturday, and yes, I'm timestamping this because by 9:13 they were already SOLD OUT of Chocolate Holes. Gone. Vanished. Clearly I was late to the party and the early birds knew what was up. Respect. Did we panic? Absolutely not. We pivoted like seasoned donut professionals and started with two dozen glazed holes. That's right. TWO. DOZEN. Most didn't make it home. "We'll just have one" turned into "wait, how many are left?" Then came the full dozen assortment: *Custard filled - dangerously good *Cream filled - no regrets *Chocolate cake - classic, solid, dependable *Glazed - because you can't not And then... the Strawberry Glazed Let me tell you about that Strawberry Glazed. BAM. Sooooo good. Like, pause-the-conversation good. Like, "why did we only get one?" good. They also have breakfast sandwiches if you're pretending to be responsible. Plenty of seating inside, so you can sit there and question your life choices while eating donut number four. The service was friendly, quick, and didn't judge our order size (at least not out loud). If you live nearby, what are you waiting for? If you don't live nearby, it's worth the drive. Just apparently get there before 9:13 if you want Chocolate Holes. Learn from my mistakes. read more

It pains me to leave this review but I must for public safety. Today I went to my favorite donut shop and ordered usually donut. (Double Chocolate). As proceed to break the donut open, a roach crawled out . I was offered a replacement and a refund. I kindly declined. I needed to share my experience as a fair warning because I was utterly flabbergasted. read more

I have to say this place has the absolute best glaze donuts I have ever had anywhere! They are amazing. The service is super friendly and very pleasant. The store is very clean and has ample seating if you want to sit and enjoy a donut and a drink. Do yourself a favor and try this place out. You will not regret it! read more

Always fresh and delicious. Our family has been coming in for two years. Large selection of different flavors. Coffee is good too. Try a breakfast sandwich if you aren't in the mood for a doughnut. They assemble them in house and they are quite good. read more

These donuts are delicious. The yeast one have a wonderful flavor and texture. The cake donuts are not heavy or greasy tasting. The people who run this location are very friendly and efficient. If I lived here, this would be a huge temptation for me each day. By the way, the wedding I attended had these as their "cake." The best!!! read more

Great donuts, get you a dozen and enjoy the taste. I got a dozen and they lasted about 3 days before going totally stale.

Best donuts in town. Love the red velvet especially. Wife likes their egg croissants

Some of the best donuts ever. People are friendly. The place is clean. There are a lot to choose from. They even have sandwiches. I was in town for three days but they were so good, I went there twice. Try the cinnamon roll donut and the glazed with pecans. read more

The Donut Palace - The front door BUT, they have a drive-thru too. - Donuts Near Me - Oak Ridge, Tennessee

Best donuts ever! I get some every time I come to town. The blueberry is cake like and melts in your mouth.

This used to be the BEST donut place in all of Knoxville but NOT NOW! Last time we had hair in our donuts. We did not complain because everything prior to that visit was wonderful. This morning my hubby picked up donuts but the old woman put the wrong donuts in our box. We discovered this after we got home so we returned to the store to get the correct donuts. The woman ARGUED, argued, ARGUED that we ordered Bear Claws when we actually ordered cinnnamon rolls. Finally, she took the bear claws out of the box that had already been in our home, and put those donuts right back on the rack to serve to another customer. Two customers walked out the door seeing that! Rude and not safe or healthy!! NEVER GO AGAIN! If she does this in front of a line of customers, I worry about how safe and clean things are in the kitchen! read more

In town for a few days for work and wanted decent donuts to bring for students. Very reasonable. Open early and super nice. Donuts were well received. Would visit again read more

As glazed, raised donut loyalists, I pouted like a toddler briefly when my husband brought me home a cake donut. I quickly ate both my words and that delish donut. Donut Palace has rekindled my love of cake donuts, as they are so dang soft and moist. My oldest kiddo even said he wants these instead of a birthday cake. High praise! The donut holes are also far better than any other place in the Knox area. Really fresh, soft, and flavorful. This could be dangerous, living so close. read more

The donuts are so fresh and taste great! I'll go back every time " I have to have" a donut.

Cannot recommend this place enough. It's so nice to have a decent donut place in Oak Ridge. I went inside to pick up a dozen donuts and they had plenty to choose from. Reminds of the mom/pop donut places in SoCal. The person behind the counter was courteous and patient while I picked my favorites. All the donuts were delicious! Highly recommend. Please check them out! read more

Super friendly staff even when slightly busy around 9am on a Thursday morning. Bought a dozen fresh donuts for a little under $12. Shelves were stocked with many yummy options. Will definitely be back when I'm in the area. read more

Best donuts I've ever had. Great price and service as well. Love their blueberry cake donuts and Bavarian cream eclairs.

Delicious! And they always have a great selection of seasonally decorated donuts my kids love!

Some of the best yeast donuts I've ever had. Soft but still a chew to them. The cake donuts were delicious and moist but the yeast ones are amazing. Going to need to schedule more work trips here! read more

The donuts are made freshly every morning, and they taste amazing. There's a very wide selection available to choose from if you get there before noon. They open super early, so it's easy to get before work, and the prices are average, though not extreme. There's seating if you want to eat in, but the drive thru is most convenient. The people that work there are pleasant, and the donuts taste fresh and flavorful. read more

The best, fresh, sometimes still warm donuts you'll ever get. Their Apple fritters are always cooked to perfection! Slightly crispy on the outside but soft and pillowy on the inside....makes my mouth water just thinking of them. read more

I've been in here couple of times, it is very clean and a amazing selection of donuts and other type of pastries. I had maple and bacon donut yesterday and a sausage kolache. Last week I went in and got a couple more donuts, one was a red velvet cake. Very good! Much better than Dunkin' Donuts with donuts and Service! They are very reasonably priced too! read more

Always excellent service, the donuts are fresh and tasty, the kolaches are a favorite of everyone in my house.

The best donut shop around hands down. Friendly people and great donuts/kolaches. Love this place.

I came upon this gemstone while visiting oak ridge by pure luck. It's 9am & I haven't had breakfast. The diner I'm looking for didn't open till 11. Burger King is the last place you'll find me. KFC doesn't do breakfast, then across the street wearing a crown like a halo was, The Donut Palace. I was happy to see they offered hot sausage croissants bc I was craving something savory, but I couldn't pass up a little sweetness. I came out with an apple fritter, 2 raspberry filled glazed donuts, & a jalapeño sausage wrapped in croissant. I can't remember what they called it, but it was delicious! I will be back! *They also get kudos for having frappucinno Only reason I don't give them 5 stars is bc the help wasn't friendly by any means. Try smiling read more

I've been meaning to stop back in and review the DoPa. We love this place! Everything they have is amazing. If you want something hot try the ham and cheese croissant. the best donuts in town! The donuts are always so fresh and I love that they're made from scratch

This is one of our favorite places, BUT, it seems recently there has been a decrease in the size of what we buy (apple fritters) & other products we like--yesterday (5/12/2020) we purchased over $24.00 of products & the different was VERY noticeable--less apple in the fritter & smaller donuts--please don't do this to your very successful business read more

Yummy! Went here around 10:30 am on a Saturday and ordered some sausage cheese croissants and chocolate frosted yellow cream donuts (Boston cream mmm) through the drive-thru and they were delicious! The KING of donuts. I am so lucky I only come here on business travel, because I would be here all the time if I was a local. These are some seriously tasty donuts. I brought a dozen into the clients office I was visiting and had a strawberry one myself. Yummy, doughy, sweet creamy goodness. Family owned and very good service. read more

Always friendly staff, great prices, good variety of donuts. We come every week and haven't had a bad experience yet!

We went to the donut palace for dessert. I was impressed with the selection and the case was well stocked and organized even in mid afternoon. The worker was polite and helpful. One of the things I was most impressed with was the dining area. It was clean and well layed out. It had tables and chairs.... a bar with stools..... and a very comfortable couch that had outlets that included USB outlets. They could use a couple more comfy chairs and a coffee table. It was well layed out and very comfortable. read more

The Old-Fashioned Yeast Donut is, by far, the best in my opinion. They are offered in original glaze and chocolate iced. I haven't tried the chocolate iced yet, but if you want to try one - GO EARLY!! Once they sell out, that's it! Not a fan of cake-type donuts but they have those, yeast donuts, and the old-fashioned. They also sell other types of pastries, which I've heard are good too. Waiting to try those. Definitely worth a stop! read more
