I had higher expectations for this establishment based upon the yelp pictures and reviews. I am sad to say, I was disappointed. Donuts, to my estimation, are like pizza in as much as even bad donuts are still good donuts. There are caveats to this statement. The one that is applicable in this situation is oil... they were oily; which makes any donut just not very edible. Even if they were not overly saturated, I'm just not sure that they were made of great quality ingredients. It's a shame, it really was. read more

I am disappointed in my most recent at your facility yesterday to get coffee. They take down all the pictures of the dogs, they barely give any whipped cream for the pup cups, and they no longer put biscuits in the cups. And are now charging for pup cups. Masters is the best donuts I have ever had! hands down! The family that owns the place is wonderfully friendly and welcoming.

These donuts are perfect! Perfectly made and perfectly glazed. Please don't come here on a diet cuz you will want everything. The original glazed donut and the blueberry donuts are sooo soft and chewy. You can come in and sample if you want. I love that they do samples! They sell a number of other breakfast goodies including wannabe kolaches which they proudly label as a pig-in-a-blanket. Delicious! Stuffed with cheese sausage, the dough is so fluffy. For such a filling breakfast bite you'll be pleased with the reasonable price. Stay away from the poison bland coffee though. Trust. You can tell everything is freshly made. They start preparation at 1AM and the apple fritters sell out way before 10AM. So get there early! They are even open on Sundays and they still sell out. Owned by a sweet Cambodian family, this place is no frills. But it's really really big and spacious inside. Your whole family can pile in here for donuts, man. Or, even better, I kept telling them to start selling Cambodian food and make it shared restaurant space. I'd be first in line for that. Back to the donuts. They are good. What a great find! Headed north on 75 and did a quick search for breakfast/coffee. It's off the highway about 10 min but decided it was worth a try to find a non chain restaurant. The full parking lot was our first indication that we made a great choice. Nice line of locals waiting to order and several booths were full with people enjoying their food and chatting. The place had a peaceful feeling about it. The owners are friendly and helpful. We ordered egg and cheese sandwiches in a bagel and coffee and got it to go. Packaging is nice and what a surprise to see that the sandwich had two fried eggs in it. Super happy with our food. Gem of a find and so nice to support a local establishment. read more

It is family owned, and the owners are really sweet and considerate. For example, there was only one person in front of me in line and Linnette, one of the owners, apologized for my wait. Their start time is 230am to begin their baking and pastry work. The selection is tremendous and makes it so difficult to chose. I would weigh 1000 pounds if I lived close to this little slice of heaven. The owners were so sweet and very efficient. We tried the strawberry and cream cheese danish which was light, thin, moist, and colorful. We also tried the chocolate glazed donut and the cinnamon glazed twist. So soft and flavorful with just the right amount of chocolate and cinnamon. There is nothing better so hats off to these bakery chef experts! They also offer a collection of handmade wood puzzle boxes and carvings. Very creative and themed for the military branches as well as garden and animal lovers. I stopped going to this Master Donuts a few months back because the quality of the donuts was unpredictable ... some days not so good, some days wonderful. Donuts are too expensive nowadays to ever be poor. But, the week before Christmas I stopped in to give them another try. One dozen mixed donuts, half cake style, half plain glazed. They were awsome! Beautifully cooked, great flavor, they held freshness for 4 days (yes, I have that much self control). Stopped in today while running errands, bought the same mixed dozen. At home a few minutes later, we started with one apple fritter style and one chocolate-iced cake donut. They were both absolutely soaked with grease ... I mean, the cake portion was shiny and yellow with grease, not light and fluffy with cake. I am so sad, because when they are on their game you can't beat their donuts. I immediately went back to the store with the whole box, got my money back ...they did not offer apologies or attempt to replace them. I love Master Doughnuts because the name alone, the doughnuts are good too. It makes me think there is samurai army somewhere in the back in full armor tossing dough in the air and slicing it with katana blades, and entering the fryer in one slice. All along funding their war against the the Shoguns of Santa Barbra. Occasionally you can hear the hushed pledges of honor and service to their Lords.
