Mimi's Cafe in Turkey Creek is always a great stop. The soup was excellent, fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The muffins were just as impressive: warm, soft, and perfectly sweet without being too heavy. Service was friendly and the atmosphere felt comfortable and relaxed. Definitely a five-star experience, and I'll be back for those muffins again.

Came here for lunch today with my family. Overall, it wasn't bad. The food was good. I got the bacon avocado omelette with the carrot raisin muffin, my husband got the potato pancake Benedict and our son got the pasta with marinara sauce and fries. The food came out pretty fast. My omelette was well cooked and the flavors were good. It tasted fresh. My husband's meal looked good. The benedict had good flavors but it was just ok. Our son really liked the french fries and the pasta and since it was a kids meal it came with a dessert. Al the food tasted good my personal favorite was the muffin. I love the fact that they serve it warmed up. The service wasn't bad, we got refills and our food promptly but after that we barely saw anyone. I think our server just got busy. Which is understandable. Mimi's has always been a fun place to go. The food is good and it can be a nice place to sit down with family or friends.

Mimi's Cafe is one of the most underrated spots in town for breakfast -- a true hidden gem. The menu has an impressive variety, from hearty classics like fluffy pancakes and perfectly cooked eggs to unique twists like chorizo tacos unexpected (but delicious!) and Tiramisu pancakes which I am super intrigued to try. Everything is made fresh, portions are perfect, and the staff is always warm and welcoming. Our waiter Orlando was attentive and kind. You can tell they care about the food and the customer experience. Whether you're in the mood for something light and healthy or rich and indulgent, there's truly something for everyone. If you're tired of crowded brunch chains and overpriced coffee shops, do yourself a favor and check this place out. It deserves way more attention than it gets!

Interior was nicely decorated, a NOLA themed room. Service was attentive and quick to serve. Food was good, I'm a self proclaimed pancake snob and the pancakes were a little on the dense side.

Pain perdu that brand new, just separated the "2 pieces", looked like it had already been eaten. Tasted awful! Uncooked and cold!

I wanted this to be a good review! I have avoided this restaurant for over a week, even tho it is across the street from where we were staying. The reviews on here weren't good. Google's are better, but nothing explains today! I was gone all day yesterday so my husband and daughter walked there for lunch. They liked their food and commented many times about the manager, that was doing all the jobs and very nice. So, wanting a waffle I missed at the hotel free breakfast, decided to trust what they said. CLEARLY, lunch was better than breakfast or maybe yesterday was better than today, or maybe it's because we picked it up instead of eating there. IT WAS AWFUL!!!! The croissant, amazing! Only go there to pick those up!!! lol The butter is whipped margarine so don't use it! This type of breakfast restaurant NEEDS real butter!!!! And real maple syrup! I'll start by stating (and showing) the pic of our food just sitting there when my husband arrived, 14 minutes before our pickup time. He was actually back 2 minutes before our pickup time. Imagine if we had waited to pick it up until the time they said it would be ready. The food is sitting on a counter in plastic containers. No heating element around. Needless to say, our food was not even warm. The avocado toast my daughter got was OK or as they say "Mid"! lol She had in the notes was "no tomatoes" but it was covered. She did NOT receive the fruit cup she ordered with the toast. My husband's eggs and sausage was cold. His potatoes were supposed to have extra seasoning, per the instructions he added, they had none! We had asked in notes for an extra order of potatoes and we would pay when we got there, because there was no way to add a side to the order. They didn't "see the note" or any of our notes apparently, so they too weren't ready and the girl who ignored my husband standing at the front for 5 minutes while on phone calls, didn't know if she could add them on or not. That meant waiting even longer for the potatoes while our food got colder by the front door being opened. He was going to say never mind but they sent them out, nice and seasoned lol, unlike his, but still cold. My plate, $17.00, the eggs were fine but cold, as was the turkey sausage. I asked in my notes for something other than the malt waffle because I can't eat malt. I gave suggestions as to switching for the cinnamon roll griddle cake or adding extra of what already comes with. I said "surprise me"! Lol They did!!! They sent me the waffles! So I couldn't eat them. I ordered the seasonal trio. The pumpkin griddle cake may have been good, but the apple goo they put way entirely too much of on it, made it inedible. The spices do not work well together and there were the tiniest specks of apple in it instead of the slices that the picture shows. My pain perdu, as you can see, looks like someone already started eating it. I did still try it, despite my husband urging me not to. It was disgusting! Tasted like the brioche French toast didn't get cooked so completely gooey in the middle. Barely any cream in the middle at all, no strawberries, just bits of red and smashed blueberries. Everything is just a mess. No ambiance because we didn't eat there, but my husband being ignored, our food sitting getting cold 15 min before pickup, and the mid - inedible food, all for the low low of $75, we will NEVER go back! You all need to do better! Be consistent! Make you food at least close to the picture! And pay attention to your customers orders!!!!! You place a spot for "notes" so why don't you read them??? Not 1 note in our order was acknowledged. THE WORST!!!

Here worth a friend for lunch.

Ok the Food was Delicious, the service was good. However the Restaurant was Absolutely FREEZING in the dining room they sat us in. I did not want to stay any longer than I had to. Not sure if I will come back unless it's Hot summer time.

Why's they were trying to pass off as a French dip. Just glorified lunch meat that looks like they put it in the microwave. It was terrible

We had excellent service from the time we entered the restaurant. We started off with the cheese board. The selection they had of two cow cheeses and one sheep cheese were delicious. My husband had the croak, madame and he said it was average, with the sandwich tasting a little dry. I had the French onion soup. I have to state my bias upfront - my favorite French chef in the world is chef Ludo and I have gone to several of his restaurants. I rate every French onion soup to his. The way the restaurant prepares the soup is they put the soup and cheese in the bowl and then drown it in some type of liquor like a cognac or brandy. Then they light the top of the soup on fire, which is supposed to present the melted cheese while at the same time burning off the alcohol. The soup I got tasted so much of alcohol. I could not eat it. And it was a little bit skimpy on the cheese.

Nothing to complain about except some of the items were cold - there was one person serving the entire bar and restaurant and obviously had some timing issues. Also some attitude: after delivering cocktails to my wife and me he forgot her mom's - after I reminded him he said "oh I know" and then proceeded to serve four other patrons' order at the bar and then another two top's before even starting hers. It finally arrived after the cold mushrooms were delivered. I'm chalking this up to a short staffed situation and a specific individual, so if you live nearby or are traveling through looking for a nice spot for dinner or lunch I would definitely recommend. The portion size is perfect for one person but you'll want to try more than one item. If you are there in the summer, you must try the Tomato Martini (PLEASE bring it back for next summer's menu!). The service and ambiance of Osteria Stella and Brother Wolf is what completely sets them apart. OS is a high class, quiet, romantic restaurant with dark colors and knowledgeable servers who value your experience. BW is simply a high end bar. That said, BW is much more fast paced and really my only complaint, the music was absurdly loud the night we were there for dinner and the restaurant was crowded, so everyone was trying to talk over the music and you almost had to yell to even hear the person sitting right beside you. If going to OS, you would likely need reservations, especially on a weekend. With BW, they don't take reservations to my knowledge and it's a free for all for an open seat at the bar or an open table. Really the difference is what kind of vibe you're going for.

The live music that is there when we have to listen is a really nice touch. Parking is limited right around the building itself, but there is plenty behind it - just keep driving a few more feet, and you'll see it. The service has been generally great, but our last trip was a bit of a miss - I suppose the difference between brunch/lunch and dinner service. I believe part of the reason was that our 2.5 YO kiddo was ruining the vibe for couples (and the staff as well). If you don't want kids there, then say so. And even if you didn't say it with your words, your actions did. Part of this showed up when we were trying to get a high chair for what felt like 5 minutes - I could see i,t and they went to seat others and had us wait...which created squirming and an unhappy kiddo. After this point, all of the ordering we tried to do in this same sitting was met with a mostly poor attitude and delays from not coming over. The food was delayed and was cold. Again, not going to fight for it and have to wait longer with a little with us. We've not been back since this, and I'm unsure we will try again with a kid. Now that this is out of the way, the dinner experience is night and day different - great service, food, and drinks with little to no issues. So, TL;DR - dinner experience 5/5, lunch/brunch experience 3/5, taking the average of 4 for a 4/5.

Once seated, our server took excellent care of us, asking about food allergies, etc. We skipped appetizers so we could get dessert, so ordered a filet and the Chilean Sea Bass Oscar. OMG, the food was phenomenal. The steak was cooked to perfection with homemade Boursin cheese. The Sea Bass was probably the best fish dish I've ever had. Perfectly cooked, crab and grilled asparagus was just delicious. The Asiago creamed spinach and the rice pilaf were both excellent as well. The rice was different than any I've ever had. It had dried blueberries, red peppers, onions and pepitas in it. Absolutely delicious. Glad we saved room for dessert. German Chocolate cake was just as good as everything else. One of the best meals I've ever had. If you are in the area, this is a must add to your dining experience.
