Burnt hashbrowns....
Lori W.

Not the best waffle house.....however, the service from Kayla is always awesome!! Had burnt hashbrowns...they were very greasy. :( The Texas sausage egg cheese sandwich was good. They didn't have any hot chocolate :( The chocolate pie is very good~ recommend it!! I'm a regular in here. The cook has his good days and bad days. It's a hit and miss with his cooking..

We did not stay to eat because the manager was extremely rude. When we asked about Apple Pay or credit cards. She said it was cash only .

The sauce in their $16 fettuccine alfredo tasted like cream, flour, and giving up. The chicken in it (that cost $4 extra) tasted like it was made in a kitchen that outlawed all seasonings. For $20, I expect a dish that can't be replicated with water and a bottle of Elmers glue. I've had more flavorful alfredo sauce from an MRE. The $15 burger was slightly overcooked and a little dry. But the BBQ sauce helped cover the dryness and lack of seasoning. I've had better burgers for less, but I've also paid more for worse. Same goes for the $15 chicken sandwich we ordered except it's sauce didn't help much. Overall, the burger and sandwich were OK but overpriced (especially the chicken) for what we got. On a positive note, the service and atmosphere were good. However, I would highly recommend just about anywhere else in Loudon to eat. This place doesn't even serve the best burger on 72 between hwy 11 and I-75 (their only competition is Wendy's and McDonald's).

Cocktails were well done and the wine pairings recommended astute. Nothing to complain about except some of the items were cold - there was one person serving the entire bar and restaurant and obviously had some timing issues. Also some attitude: after delivering cocktails to my wife and me he forgot her mom's - after I reminded him he said "oh I know" and then proceeded to serve four other patrons' order at the bar and then another two top's before even starting hers. It finally arrived after the cold mushrooms were delivered. I'm chalking this up to a short staffed situation and a specific individual, so if you live nearby or are traveling through looking for a nice spot for dinner or lunch I would definitely recommend. The environment is also very pleasant with a nice bar and dining room of high top tables.

We came in Looking to eat at a Buffet that still served breakfast, of course Shoneys was the BEST option. Me and my Husband LOVE going to Shoneys. Let's talk about what was so wrong here, and why we just ended up leaving. When we first walked in, we stood there by the Register hoping to be acknowledged. Instead 4-5 girls were in between the kitchen- and the front register, just talking. Well, Whatever they were talking about must have been too Important to Acknowledge our Existence. So they pretty much ignored us. After a few seconds of blatantly being ignored, I started looking around, at the restaurant, my Husband, Etc. to try to not seem rushing or rude. After a couple more seconds I heard someone, (wasn't sure who) ask: "3 in your Party?!" My brain I guess didn't register, or really hear her until after 3 seconds and I looked at her and replied, "Yes we have Three, I'm sorry I wasn't sure if you were talking to us" when I said that... THE WOMAN LITERALLY LOOKED ME IN THE EYES, and THEN ROLLED HER EYES AT ME AND CONTINUED TALKING, And CONTINUING TO IGNORE US. WILD. I said something out loud. I haven't seen such rude activity since the Blue Moose in Sevierville. I announced to the woman there standing around, "That girl just like straight up rolled her eyes at me, and ignored me" To the Host. The Host seated us. The Host was great. She was nice, and apologized for the Lady's Behavior. I leg it go. Then, our waitress comes over and just stares at us like we are growing a third eyeball. She was also extremely rude, and short. Making my Husband Feel uncomfortable as well, this time. When she walked away, I turned to my Husband and, I told him what had happened. About the attitude, the eye rolling, the ignoring and the disgusting attitude of these Woman at this Food Joint. I had tears in my Eyes and he said "Let's Go, I'm not about to make my Wife sit here and get bullied by waitresses that act like they're better than everyone." I told him I was not happy with the disrespect, and he said I looked like I had tears in my eyes. Look. I understand people are Human and have bad days. Our waitress was cold, short, and dismissive the entire time- even though it was less than 10 minutes. As a women who's always growing and working on herself, it's disappointing to see other women tear each other down out of jealousy and insecurity, instead of showing grace and respect. It takes a very low place in your heart to treat another woman that way over how she looks. Like I said, I understand people have bad days, but I don't want to have company with their misery. The two women at this Shoneys demonstrated that apparently, It's easy to tear someone down rather than to be respectful to them. I truly hope management addresses this behavior -- no guest should be made to feel "small", uninvited, or unwelcome because someone else is struggling with their own insecurities. Let's not forget that, I'm a Living breathing person too. We will attempt to come back maybe in another year or two. Hopefully the woman are more mature and grown next time, and my Family can enjoy the Buffet. And if management does take this reviews serious, we Were in the restaurant from 12:09-12:17pm on October 26th. I was wearing a long, grey sweater that goes mid shin, and we have one little boy who was wearing a red long sleeved shirt. My Husband was wearing a black jacket. On the cameras we were given a booth.

Good sign so far with the cars slipped into the parking lot. Walked in immediately greeted by the waitress. First question asked if we had been there before.....a preamble to let us know it was "Cash only". Typical breakfast fare with home style fixings. Bacon & eggs were cooked perfectly... eggs runny and over easy and bacon crispy. I had the home style potatoes with onions and peppers. They were delicious. Second return trip, I had the double cheeseburger with hand formed patties. Way too much burger due to the 2 large patties but was tasty and well seasoned. Waitress suggested desert and I opted for a dollop of banana pudding with vanilla wafers. Oh boy what a treat of creamy gooey goodness. The waitress informed us that "Donna" does the cooking and she has daily specials. Got the feeling this is a local's place by them calling each other by name but no the less everyone was friendly and staff was welcoming. Bottom line this is a down home cooked meal like you would get at Grandma's house. Highly recommend Donna's.

The setting does half the work for you, but the food more than holds its own. The fried green tomatoes were the clear opener: crisp, well-seasoned, and properly balanced between tang and crunch--no excess grease, no filler. Exactly how the dish should be executed. The half smoked chicken followed, tender and deeply flavored, carrying a clean smoke that enhanced rather than overwhelmed. The okra was cooked with restraint, avoiding the common pitfalls of sogginess, while the fries arrived hot, golden, and assertively seasoned. This is relaxed waterfront dining with confidence--barbecue that knows what it's doing and doesn't feel the need to overexplain itself. A place worth trying
