1/2 Cheese & 1/2 Veggie

Haven't been to Sal's in years and so glad we stopped in! They recently remodeled and it looks great! Service was fantastic! I can't remember the girl who was our server , however she was awesome, attentive and so sweet with my kiddo! We did a 1/2 cheese and 1/2 veggie - it was delicious! Sauce was really well balanced. Sometimes veggie pizzas can be soggy but this was perfect! Cheese pizza also wasn't too oily which was great! All in all - great food, service and ambiance. It's BYOB with a corkage fee.

Tiramisu (homemade)

Another place to enjoy during my travels! A small mom and pop joint with genuinely great service and amazing food. I ordered meatballs for appetizer, a slice of meat lovers pizza, lasagna, and tiramisu for dessert. Yes I ate it all by myself! The meatballs are hearty and very moist, swimming in marinara and mozz. Truthfully I've never eaten meatballs at any restaurant this moist and flavorful. Perfection. Pizza: New York style, thin and foldable. Big slice and delicious. Lasagna: not frozen! NOT stouffers! This is one raises the bar for anyone attempting to offer lasagna. The pasta sheets were light with a delicate chew. More filling and sauce than pasta, best balance in my opinion. The serving is big enough to fill a normal person's belly. But I'm not normal and enjoy eating very much. Highly recommend this dish. Tiramisu: not frozen!!! Not store bought! This dessert topped it all off for me. You know how some tiramisu you order is like a cake? Not the case here, homemade with legit lady fingers and dark chocolate/espresso topping. My favorite part about it was that I could still taste the coffee liqueur used to soak the lady fingers in. IYKYK Don't think twice about coming here, just go. Enjoy the hole in the wall atmosphere and amazing staff. Then devour the delicious food offerings.

House Salad

Struggling to understand how this place is even in business. Paid $9.99 for trash white bread with literal squares of cheese barely melted on it and labeled as "garlic cheese bread". As well as a salad that was $9.49 that was barely chopped lettuce with three fat slices of tomato and three fat slices of cucumber and a package of store bought ranch. The pizza was not fully cooked and was just decent. The delivery with fees made the whole ordeal around $75 for an absolutely trash meal. Please save yourself the trouble and get fast food, it's better I promise you.

"Cheesy bread"

Please tell me y'all are seeing this picture of this burnt, stale, cheap, dry bread with a piece of burger cheese slapped onto part of it...how can they sell this for almost $10! If I made this at home I'd be embarrassed with myself, so why the heck would I overpay a professional and drive to this dive to pick it up? Like this post if you agree!

Gold standard for pizza take-out in the area if you happen to be on that side of Franklin.

I like that you can buy slices of pizza. I don't want or need an entire pizza for myself! Friendly staff!

The ingredients are fresh and I had a great chat with the owner as well. Next time I'll try one of the featured jam sandwiches, which look original and intriguing

I was in this part of town and starving, but wasn't feeling a chain sandwich place for whatever…read morereason. I was pleasantly surprised to find Jambox very close. I found a very simple website with menus, but not the ability to order ahead of time. I got the vibe that it's a brand new business just getting up and figuring itself out, so I'm more willing than usual to give it the benefit of the doubt and some time. They have a cassette tape theme going on, so I guess the owner has a thing for older music and the culture of cassettes, which aligns with the "mix tape" loyalty club. I suppose that also has to do with the name. All the sandwiches have "fun," but non-helpful names, so I had to read all the descriptions a few times to get an idea of what they had. He pointed me to the option that was most like an Italian sub that I was craving. It wasn't clear, so I had to ask about where I tell them how I would like it (no tomatoes or mayo, etc) and the answer was right there at the register. I didn't see general options anywhere, so I didn't know how else I might customize, plus I was in a hurry and not in the mood to have that conversation right then, or in person, for that matter. I paid (kudos for having contactless payment options!) and went to the other end of the counter for a brief wait, then I got my sandwich and was out the door (my order was 'to go.') The sandwich was good, I ate it all and enjoyed it. The nature of its construction made it less stable and more fall-aparty than I was expecting to eat while driving (part of the reason to get a sub), but I made do. The bread was a little disappointing. It was good, but I think my expectations weren't aligned. I wasn't offered a choice of bread and I don't remember if there was an obvious "choose your bread" display right by the register or not. It was white sub bread. The outside of the bread was just as white as the inside; I guess I'm used to the outside of the bread being a little darker than the inside and a bit stronger to hold everything together. It was a bit more crumbly than I was expecting or thought was appropriate for a sandwich. This also meant it was more flexible, as in while I'd hold it to take a bite, the back of the bread would lift up and let things fall out that I had to put back, and then adapt how I was holding it to keep all the good stuff inside. I don't remember the bread having any flavor, it was just an edible tool to hold the sandwich innards. Normally I'd add oil/vinegar to an Italian sub, but I'm glad I didn't here or it would have been a bigger oily mess to clean up rather than just putting it back when things fell out. Bottom line for me (if you had a different experience or have a different opinion, I'm happy for you), it was good but not amazing. I don't think I'd stop there again when I'm in the area unless I'm starving again. If it were closer to me, I might keep my eye on it to see how it matured and adapted over time to maybe have options I liked more, but I won't be making the trek to where it is in Franklin just to get a sandwich there. However, since my taste isn't universal, if you're in the area and curious, I'd say give it try. You may really like it and the cassette thing may speak to you. I wish the owner only the best! Tangentially, nothing to do with the food or business: It's on a busy road and the entrances there are a little tricky, so just be aware and don't pull in slightly too soon and find yourself in the wrong parking lot that isn't connected.

This is my review for the bakery:…read more I really wanted to support this small bakery, but my experience left me feeling misled and taken advantage of. When I first visited, the owner, Steve Bledsoe, asked where we were from. After I said California, he told an employee to give us the "California discount." When the total came out to $40 per pie, I was shocked and asked why the price was so high. I was given a long explanation about premium ingredients and homemade quality. Feeling awkward and wanting to support a family-owned business, I went ahead and bought four pies. The next day, when I came back to pick them up, I noticed on the register that another customer had been charged $25 per pie. That was a big red flag. To double-check, I later called the shop as a new customer and was told pies are $25. When I asked to speak with the owner, his answers were inconsistent and unconvincing. I'm extremely disappointed. especially in a local business that relies on community trust. I left feeling like I was charged more simply because the owner thought he could get away with it. I will not be returning, and I hope the business reconsiders how it handles pricing and customer interactions. On top of the dishonesty. The pies were not great. I could have supported Costco and bought larger pies that tasted just as good, if not, better.

For any of you who don't know, that is a very expensive steak!!!! Instead of just letting me buy it and making the profits, EM (the owner) came out to talk to me about how to properly cook the tasty meat. Once I realized I was in over my head, I changed my order to a fantastic Prime cut Rib-eye. Here is when the whole experience turned from great to ARE YOU SERIOUS GREAT!!! EM spoke with me for a coupe minutes on how she prepares her dry aged and after seeing how interested I was in her process she turns to one of her employees and says "Hey, Trim that dry aged Rib-eye up and let him have it on me" I couldn't believe my ears. Talk about a customer experience and a love for what you do. Most butcher shops I have been to expect you to know everything about the meat you are interested in and if you dont, they can be jerks about it. NOT EM!!!! She takes pride in what she does and is willing to have a conversation to help build your knowledge about the process and how to get the best taste out of her products.
