Veal pappardelle with ricotta and fried sage. Rich, creamy and super filling. Lovely with a glass of wine.

I honestly do not know why we had not tried Saltoro sooner, but we're hooked. A restaurant buddy said it was one of their favorites and I can see why. The interior sets the mood; warm, relaxed, casual but with some definite style. I think they even had a fire going. Nice. Good place for a date. Our server set the mood with a warm welcome and drinks came quickly while we looked over the menu. I had heard the food was good but I was very pleased with the pricing on the menu--especially after our entrees came. I'd heard the roast chicken was great but opted for the pappardelle and was rewarded. Super rich and velvety, it was a perfect accompaniment to my glass of wine. Hubby's halibut was terrific and we both agreed we were remiss in not coming to Saltoro sooner. The fallen chocolate cake was great--perfect cap to the evening. We'll return for drink just to test drive the bar which looked pretty cool.

4.5 stars! Very cozy, homey exterior. PACKED on a Saturday night. Been wanting to try this spot for a while! There were many amazing sounding dishes on their seasonal menu such as a rack of lamb and duck cassoulet. Tried Seasonal Drinks: Mexican Penicillin ($12), Holiday Sparkler ($9.5). I liked these! They are nothing fancy though. Mains -Butternut Squash Ravioli ($16) - as with all typical ravioli dishes this only came with 3 raviolis, but that sauce was INSANE! Super creamy with a hint of almond-y sweetness, perhaps from the amaretti cookies. Loved the fresh mushrooms on top too. -Pappardelle ($18) - Also great, with a rich/creamy/meaty sauce. I'm not sure if the pastas are fresh but they sure tasted like it! Sides -Brussel Sprouts ($8): Delicious! Loved the sweetness. They are sauteed, not roasted. -Mashed Potatoes ($5): A small side, nice and garlicky. Food was a tad slow as well as our orders being taken, but given it was completely packed that's totally understandable!

Our food in the takeout containers. Braised short rib and Roasted Half chicken

Delivery only review: My husband I frequently ate at Saltoro, but there were several menu changes and the food quality seemed to go down. Their service wasn't great either. So we stopped going. Fast forward about four years... and since it was our anniversary, we decided to order in a 'fancy' meal, because we just didn't feel like going out. And although we had stopped going to Saltoro we gave them another shot. And I'm so glad we did, because our meal was delicious. I ordered the roasted half chicken and my husband got the braised short rib... and everything was so yummy. The short rib was so tender and the sauce that accompanied it was delicious. The roasted chicken was so good and the mushrooms that came with it were amazing. Our only complaint was that the sauces kind of disappeared from the takeout boxes, and the portions were a little on the small side (they look bigger in photos). But the food was so tasty, we've decided it's time to try eating at Saltoro again!

    Is Saltoro wheelchair accessible?

Yes, there is a back door on 143rd that is wheelchair accessible. It's marked, near the intersection with Greenwood.

Do they take reservations? I don't see it as an option on their website, here on Yelp, or Open Table

I think they only do reservations for parties of 6 or more. . .

Would this be a good option for a first date? Also, any idea if this place is vegan friendly? thanks!

Fast forward to 7/6/25, The Homie and I decided to check out Jersey's on 152nd to wrap up the Fourth of July holiday weekend with their happy hour. There's ample adjacent parking, plus plentiful seating in both the bar and restaurant sections. There were well placed flat screens, which on this visit had the F1 race televised from Las Vegas and the US - Mexico Concacaf match televised from Houston. Lots of signed sports memorabilia posted on the walls. Our waitperson was friendly and attentive and provided us with both the Happy Hour (3-6pm) and extensive regular menus. I'd call this elevated sports bar cuisine. There's even breakfast/brunch items available on weekends. We both had refreshing iced beverages, an iced tea and a Pepsi, which were refilled during out meal onsite ($3.50 each). We ordered from the HH menu: Crispy JoJo Skins ($9), Hog Wings with coleslaw ($13), and Buttermilk Chicken Tenders with fries ($10). I appreciated the nice presentation of each of the HH menu items. The JoJo potato skins were loaded with melted cheese, green onions, and bacon bits plus a nice garlic lime sour cream sauce. The Hog Wings selected were succulent pork shanks tossed in kalbi sauce, garnished with sesame seeds and served with coleslaw. The Buttermilk Chicken Tenders were moist and not over coated and served with on point house fries. Yet again, another Shoreline gem flying under the radar screen. Jersey's Great Food and Spirits has great service and a wide variety of menu items to savor. Next visit will be much sooner and not a ten year hiatus!

Special shot out to our waiter last night, young guy, tall, didn't catch his name but, great service.

THE SHORT OF IT: Very tasty food with large portion sizes, fantastic service, extremely comfortable…read moreseating, but beware, pricing is on the higher side. Great for large groups and also family friendly. THE INSIDE: -Lots of Seattle Kraken memorabilia on the walls, including sweaters from the Seattle Metropolitans. Upscale pub at its best. -Bathrooms are large, clean, easily accessible, and well stocked. -The seats are very heavy, wooden, and well made, all cushioned and cloth covered. I appreciate that it feels like an actual seat instead of a crappy piece of metal that a lot of sports restaurants seem to be transitioning towards. You will be comfortable. -Many tables overlooking three of the four sheets of ice. (Virginia Mason is the only sheet that the restaurant doesn't overlook.) -Full bar with bar seating available. FOOD AND DRINKS: -I've been coming here for years for Kraken watch parties or beer league games, and have never had a disappointing meal. Whether it's appetizer fries or a full entree or a simple cocktail, it's all been in a scale of good to great. -The crispy brussel sprouts are a highlight. Savory, sweet, perfectly cooked, and huge portion size - should be split between a minimum of two people. -The pricing is hiiiiigh (like everything else these days, I suppose). Expect minimum of $12 for an appetizer and $18-$45 per entree. It was far more reasonable the first year they were open and it's all gone up at least 30%. That being said, the serving sizes are big, and one entree could easily be split between two people. -The bar has hundreds of choices. Cocktails are fantastic. The Kraken Hat Trick was particularly nice for the summer weather paired with the World Cup slider trio and brussel sprouts. Easily fed two people. -The nachos are light and while not covered in any traditional cheeses, I rather enjoyed the spicy aioli with cotija on top. Everything tasted very fresh and the chips were thick, proper tortilla chips. Again, portion size is massive and great for splitting. SIDE NOTES: -There are discounts available for players (kids league and beer league). -Kids get an activity sheet, packaged crayons, and a covered cup of water with a straw. -I want to take a star off the rating just on pricing alone, because this is more casual pub than fancy restaurant, but considering all of the positive experiences I've had here with food, drinks, and service, I can't do it. -There is a Starbucks inside the facility with some food options, so I suppose if you're wanting a cheaper option for food to munch on while overlooking the ice, that's your only alternative to purchase on-site aside from generic concessions downstairs.

First there was such sticker shock at the prices of everything here. Service was good at first and then my husband asked for a refill on his ice tea, and then he asked again, and asked again still no refill. Finally a different server came and after the fourth request he finally got a refill. For almost a hundred dollars for lunch for 3 people I expect better service. On the way out then our server asked if she could get us anything. Why ask on the way out?? Not sure about coming back here again
