Literal dollop on top and melted down mmmmm so good cinnamon roll
Ash G.

Well... this is awkward, I cant help but feel a little disappointed, the food was good don't get me wrong, but the standard fell. OK let me explain, the cinnamon roll alone which was a rock star was nothing like its former self, and we always start with the cinnamon roll. It was a disappointing start and then being seated next to a really loud table when it's just the two of us, just kinda makes it seem like a little more effort should be given. I had the steak benedict and that was insane, they even managed to cook it a little pink for me as last time it was definitely over cooked, this time around it was perfect and cut beautifully and just tasted amazing. We also had the corned beef, also a favorite of ours and a rock solid choice Here's to bringing back the cinnamon roll to its former glory!!

Delicious and popular restaurant! Recommended by a local chef. We had a wonderful dinner outside. Ordered the delicious seafood chowder and a fabulous steak salad which had a little kick. Everything was delicious!

Met a couple of friends for brunch on a rainy weekend day at Salt and Iron, and it's definitely a good place to go if you want to catch up with your girlfriends over some good food. I had the spicy avocado tartine which was very good, but I would have liked a serrated knife to cut it with; I was a bit concerned that I was going to fling my tasty food off the table! My friends ended up splitting the crab Benedict and modifying it all over the place and the waiter couldn't have been more helpful in getting them what they wanted. They did comment that the two crab cakes were very small, but did enjoy their meal. Since I had a longer drive home, I ordered the guava lemonade. I didn't really taste any guava? My friends did enjoy their mimosa and Bloody Mary. I would eat here again.

This restaurant never disappoints. Food, service and wine are always on point. Another great meal! Even the restaurant week menu was generous in portions and outstanding in flavor.

Went here with no reservations, and received top service from staff. Ambiance is nice, and food was great! We will definitely be back!

Love this place. Always good service and food. Parking is easy. On weekends, there is also a nice farmers market nearby.

Fried oysters

Came here for oyster fest we tried the fried oysters and they were so salty. We did not get much service here either. Not sure if we've return.

I came here for dinner and it was amazing. I thought that every dish was executed perfectly. The amount of food is actually pretty good too - I had to get dessert to go since I was so full! The steak tartare was well balanced. In my experience, it's way too easy for the seasonings to overwhelm the beef, but in this case the ingredients complimented each other and I could taste the quality of the beef. The calamari was cooked excellently with great breading, and I loved how they also breaded and fried the pickled jalapeno to switch up the dish. The result was so flavorful I didn't need to use any of the sauce The house salad was on par. The house made bread was so crusty outside and tender inside. It's not bakery level, but very delicious. 10 oz filet mignon was a lot of food. I think honestly the amount of steak was larger than 10 oz, and it was served with rich and creamy mashed red skin potatoes and asparagus. The red wine demi-glace was almost redundant since the steak was so juicy! I had to take my brulee cheesecake home since I was so stuffed and wanted time to take a walk and digest a little bit. I loved how the sugar crust on top was still intact and crunchy. The cheesecake was so creamy and smooth. The lemon pastry cream punctuated the vanilla flavor of the cheesecake and switched it up. Overall, delicious!

Experience fine dining without the hassel of Seattle. Salt Iron is a wonderful place not to deep in Edmonds but in the downtown area. The atmosphere was amazing, very welcoming, food came out quick and hot. The food definitely left an impression bursting with unique flavors and that was fine dining +. The dining experience without the narcissistic attitude that leaves ur plate full because u were disappointed. Salt and iron will leave u wanting more, chefs kiss, perfection. Enjoy any occasion dinner. Anniversary and even ur first dates come and enjoy smart casual fine dine.

Coffee Crème Brûlée

I was surprised with a visit to Salt & Iron for my birthday! We've been wanting to visit after hearing so many great things, and as expected, it was bustling on a Saturday evening. With so many dishes to choose from, I knew I needed to try some of their seafood dishes. We decided to share the: - Oysters on a Half Shell - A classic choice for an appetizer - Seafood Risotto - The texture of the risotto was great - not too runny or clumpy. It comes loaded with shrimp, scallop, and halibut - yum! - Porkchop - The Korean pesto added such a fun flavor! - Coffee Crème Brûlée - This is generally one of my fav desserts, but the coffee cream took it to another level, balancing out the bitterness with the sweetness I think the amount was perfect to share and we both left pretty full and satisfied. Our server was also so friendly, and let us know that the dessert was on the house since for my birthday. With great food and a lovely ambiance, it was the perfect combination for a birthday outing!

We had a super lovely dinner at 4pm on a sunny Saturday. Torn between sitting in the sun and inside, the staff kindly placed us in a table by the window helping us split the difference- so sweet! The calamari was delicious, and a decent sized portion. The steak frites was cooked excellent and comes with shoe string-esque style fry! I had the salmon which was super balanced and recommended by the server. It was excellent and also a healthy portion! The espresso martini was on the sweeter, creamier side, and impossible to put down. I had two . We'll definitely be back, the delicious food, attentive staff, and quick service checked every box!

Brussels & Shishitos and Seattle Stadium Fries
katie y.

This was our first time here and we mainly went to try their happy hour! Food was great!! We tried one of each slider and our favorite was the crab cake slider. The stadium fries had the crispiest shoestring fries as well. Definitely will be coming back for dinner next time.

Bourbon Selection.

Great food! Pacific Oysters and Crab Cakes! Amazing bourbon selection and the place is perfect for a quick meet up or full dinner.

Is there still a happy hour menu?

Yes

Can I Boat here?

It is possible to boat. The Edmonds marina is a short walking distance away. I recommend checking the mooring fees with the Edmonds marina.

Is this place appropriate for a 1 yr old to join along?

I am 13 days old today. I have been to Salt & Iron twice. Both during daytime. They love me there.

Is this place good for big groups? I have prom coming up and there's a good amount of people in my group.

I would probably call then and see if they can handle the amount of people you are going to have in your group

Is this the kind of place I can take my wife on our anniversary?

Absolutely! We welcome celebrations of all kinds, and can provide a nice romantic atmosphere for you both to enjoy.

The deviled eggs were to die for and I wish we had ordered twice as many. I also ordered goat cheese and crackers and the figs with prosciutto, however, and I just was not digging either one. I was expecting fresh figs with cured prosciutto, and that was just not the dish offered on the menu. I'm an ignorant diner, so it was my bad, but to be honest, I wish this place offered less "foodie food" and more just palatable, easy, approachable food. I had a gin and tonic and the specialty banana cocktail, both of which were amazing. We love this place and will continue to visit frequently, I just need more menu options for "picky" eaters. Like, just give me a bread bowl with some chowder and I'll be happy. Or, some fish and chips. I don't need gourmet, I just need some "easy" food while I enjoy all the amazing cocktails.

I like it a lot better since the remodel a couple years back, the old dingy feel is gone and now everything seems updated and fancier. I know some people were more into the dive bar vibe, but me not so much. They offer food, but I have never tried it myself. There's pool tables, darts and other events like karaoke pretty regularly. There are lots of tvs so a decent place to watch a sporting event, but not the presidential election. People dress up for Halloween. Which is a little different from their online menu, and we were a little disappointed. We really wanted to try the yellowtail dish that we saw on their website but they unfortunately didn't have it on their menu. We asked if they could make it since there was a similar dish on their restaurant week menu. The server was very nice and tried his best to have the chef make it but they had already put the ingredients away. I ordered the Asian pear sake , it was delicious. Not too sweet. We also ordered four agua chili oysters and the salt and pepper calamari as appetizers. We found the lime citrus in the oysters to overpower the oyster. But the calamari were scrumptious. We appreciated that they use the small squid that can be found in the local waters. I ordered the pork belly rice bowl and my partner ordered the burger. The pork belly bowl didn't quite hit the spot as I thought it would. It's almost like it needed salt and the pork belly needed to be grilled to have a little crisp. It was okay. The burger was good, he didn't quite care for shoestring fries and the nori flakes didn't provide much additional flavor for the fries. Overall the calamari was good and the sake was good.
