    Crab artichoke dip
    Yuehching T.

Decided to try this place after I'm back to the hood. It was calming walk down the street to this restaurant. We were served quickly. I will be very honest the menu is huge! Took me awhile to decide on what to order lol. Settled with steak bites, steamed clams, crab and artichoke dip, fried cod and salad with salmon. We loved the steak bites! The extra veggies of onion, peppers and mushrooms were delicious. Steak was tender and flavorful. Clams were meaty and tasted good with crispy cheesy bread to dip in that sauce. Crab dip was also good. My fried cod and fries was really good. Crispy outside and juicy cod inside. Slaw and tartar sauce were all on point. My friends salmon salad was really delicious too. Overall was a great meal. And we also had a slice of lemon cheese cake and salted caramel cake and that was all amazing. So happy to know the restaurant is still in business and good still tasted great. Will return soon

Beef Gyro with a side chowder

What drew me in was their vast menu and location. There is something for everyone here from pasta, burgers, salads, seafood and gyros. Hubby and I ordered the 3 piece cod & chips and subbed tots, and the beef gyro sandwich with clam chowder as my side. The things we took notice were the clam chowder was loaded with clams and was tasty, which we enjoyed. Also, the tots were extra crispy just the way I like them! The entrees were good. This is a great neighborhood restaurant located in Perrinville with decent food for every palate. There was a mix-up with our check, which our server corrected immediately.

Interior has nice aesthetics and fair lighting. Service was pretty good. Food was alright. Their name implies seafood would be fresh while our shrimp and salmon were not. Both were 'fishy' and texture was seemed over cooked/previously frozen. Crab and shrimp dip was ok, not very much seafood and a lot of cream. Would've been better with crunchy pita chips or bagel crisps than soft pita. Favorite was the salt & pepper calamari which had a light breading and calamari was tender.

Kids popcorn shrimp basket & fries - amazing!

Hands down amazing!! would eat here again & again! Everyone's food & experience was great! Family-friendly & very personable and offered a great recommendation on pasta!

Walking into this place it has more of a bar feel than restaurant though there are separate areas. The outside looks kinda neat, but upon walking in it doesn't fit the outside in my opinion. We went there for dinner with the parents just to try a new place. The server we had was quick to the table but that tapered off. I ordered the seafood Diablo which came with quite a bit of seafood. I was pleasantly surprised. Though the Diablo was certainly missing, it was more of seafood in tomato soup. My wife ordered artichoke chicken with a Greek salad. She said it was alright, except for the fact that the salad was served on the same plate as the warm chicken. Usually salads are separated from hot food. My parents both got a deep fried offering from the menu. My mom got the prawns(6 large ones) and my dad got the deep fried platter. Both were satisfied with their choices as they both got quite a bit of food. We finished it off with beignets, which everyone enjoyed. Like I said the server was very distant and we had to ask for water, napkins etc. There is quite a large menu, and as the food was not too bad but just lacking in a couple areas we will be back to give this place another shot. Hopefully it was just an off day...

My wife enjoyed her wine and salmon. I had the swordfish. Both were good. The potatoes and veggies were well prepared. Service was great. Casual and comfortable environment.

The last few times I had dined at the hook, the food was good. However this last time it was not. This is a cautionary tale not to order the halibut and chips. For the price they charge. I expected the fish to be fresh, which it was clearly not. I have never seen halibut that thin in my entire life. I believe I paid twenty eight dollars and change for the meal and had better halibut and chips at a drive through burger joint, where I paid sixteen dollars. Not just a little bitter, but far superior which is quite a shame. I took 2 bites and chucked the whole meal.

This place was recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint! It was a busy Saturday night, but we got seated right away so that was a plus. The interior was a mix between a restaurant and sports bar with lots of seating. We shared the honey sriracha brussel sprouts, small greek salad, gyro, alfredo linguine, and strawberry italian soda. The portions were huge, especially my alfredo linguine... so I ended up taking leftovers home. I loved how cheesy the pasta was. Our server was very friendly throughout the night and always checked up on us. He also comped our dessert because our food took a while to come out so we really appreciated that! I would definitely come back again :)

Restaurant wasn't crowded when I arrived and I was seated quickly. Server was nice but it did take a while for me to get the check at the end of dinner. Salmon corn chowder - this was okay. I've had better for this area. There was a good amount of salmon in there. The Hook Platter - sampler of 2 fried oysters, 2 fried shrimp, and one piece each of fried halibut, cod, salmon. The oysters were the best (should have just ordered that by itself). Then the jumbo prawns and cod were good. The halibut and salmon were too dry. I don't think they are good deep fried (especially fry salmon). I ordered their fruity punch. Too tangy and not enough bubbles.

We ordered an abundant spread, and every dish impressed. The clear crowd favorite was the Singapore black pepper prawns - fragrant, perfectly spiced, and completely addictive. That black pepper sauce was hands down the star of the meal: rich, peppery, and deeply flavorful. It was my favorite and could easily be eaten on everything. The Mala curry crab and XO crab were both outstanding; layered with complex, indulgent flavors. The Thai green chili clams and saus mentega clams were vibrant and comforting, while the crab fried rice had generous morsels of crab folded throughout the dish. We also really enjoyed the Indonesian chicken wings, which were crispy and flavorful, and the stir-fried vegetables, which added a fresh, well-balanced contrast to the seafood-heavy menu. Everything traveled well, was thoughtfully prepared, and made for an unforgettable catered meal. If you're considering catering from Marimakan Crabhouse, I can't recommend it highly enough. Get the black pepper sauce! Amazing from start to finish, and Chef V or Rachel is lovely to work with.

For the boil, we got the special sauce (a mix of all the sauces) at a medium sauce since the kid was with us and it was great, she was able to eat it and said it was the perfect amount of spicy. The restaurant has been opened since July 2025 and took over from the previous tenant, Dong Ting Chun. Hot Cajun Crawfish is a Vietnamese Cajun seafood boil restaurant, that also has Pho, Po Boys, Fried Seafood, and a cocktail bar menu arrangement. I highly recommend ordering seafood by the pound, as this was the main highlight of our meal. Our group ordered 2 lbs of crawfish, 2 lbs of clams, 1 lb of squid in their House Special sauce. This sauce was extremely buttery, rich, garlicky, and spicy! 2-3 stars (mild-medium) were much much spicier than anticipated, so spice enjoyers be warned. The seafood was fresh, served in stainless steel bowls, and piping hot. Everything was coated in the seasoned sauce and was well above expectations. Our group also ordered the seafood combination platter, the beef and tripe pho, seasoned french fries, and the lobster fried egg noodle. I was not a fan of the seafood combination platter (fried catfish, oysters, shrimp). The seafood was coated in this thick batter that texturally was mid and almost inedible. The seafood itself was just ok, with the catfish having a very strong aftertaste. The beef and tripe pho was just ok, good portion sizes, but it is not the main prize Hot Cajun Crawfish offers. The lobster fried egg noodle was surprisingly well seasoned, with a generous warm water whole lobster tail on top. I liked the seasoned fries, they were crispy and a good portion. I would come back just for the seafood boil bags, they were delicious and worth their price. Everything together for this party of 5 was $185 including tax and tip. Service was attentive, friendly, and food came very fast. We visited on a Tuesday evening at 6, and the restaurant was empty on this holiday week. Enjoy the pictures folks.

This is where you get the super-nice meat and fish that supermarkets and big-box stores don't have. And their house-made fish dips are amazing. You walk in to a shelf full of solid-value wines, mostly local, aimed to pair with whatever you might take home with you to cook. The ceilings are high, and the walls and floors are all spotless white. No decorations, very little merchandising, if any. There's a long butcher case on the left full of all kinds of crazy treats. Prawns the size of bratwursts. Steaks, roasts, different fish. They skip most of the stuff that supermarkets carry and focus only on more-specialty stuff. Their stock is either a nicer version or it's something that's unavailable elsewhere. You do pay for quality like this on some of the stuff, but if you're cooking a meal you're really looking forward to, the value makes it reasonable. Not everything is expensive, either. They had fresh lemons on the case for 40% less than the supermarket up the street. They had reds, whites, bubblies, and pinks in the wine section with every bottle under $20. And those fish dips, man. I'm surprised they don't sell out by afternoon every day. We had wild salmon and black cod dips before dinner last night, and both were fantastic.
