Great bakery with traditional beautiful baked goods plus "illusion" entremet in various fruit shapes. Worth the price for these unique treats. I loved the mango and Parmesan / mushroom croissant I had. Fast , friendly , helpful service and there's a code on your receipt for the clean bathroom which is welcome in this area of midtown. Yummy! We'll be back!

My bf's mom and cousin stopped in to grab us a few treats. Ordered: *Garlic Butter Croissant - warmed up *Pistachio Cube *Coconut Flake Bun *Blueberry dessert *Mango dessert - mango shaped *Coconut dessert I didn't try many as I wasn't feeling sweets but they all got rave reviews. The garlic butter croissant was SO GOOD, though, and (unexpectedly to me) filled with a rich, buttery cream. Prices were sooo reasonable for the quality and delicate nature of these desserts.

Update to my review from a couple months ago--I came back to pick up a mini cake and a fruit trompe-l'œil mousse dessert and I was disappointed.... ...in how long the lines were! A surge in recent popularity meant on a Saturday afternoon around 4pm there was a line of 30ish people waiting inside to order. So much for my original plans to be in and out in 10-15 minutes! It took about 45 minutes in total--about 30 min waiting to order then 15 min waiting for the order. What I wasn't disappointed in was the execution of the cakes, the Ferrero Rocher cake $22.95 had a chocolate shell with bits of hazelnut in the shell and also in the center of the cake. The cake texture was fluffy and light, in line with Asian sponge cakes, and a whipped cream with a hint of hazelnut flavor. I wouldn't have minded if the cake flavor was a little stronger. The orange trompe-l'œil $10.95 was a feat! How they injected the liquid filling inside while maintaining the delicate shell with a perfect replica of an orange peel textured exterior--exemplifies a study in food physics for me. Not only did it look like a juicy citrus fruit, it tasted like one, and when you cut into it--kinda looked like you'd just squeezed a fresh one too. Gorgeous and delicious! I'll be back to try a some other fruits!

Dropped by on whim to satisfy my sweet tooth. The pastries are the definition of aesthetic, with each one tasting similarly like their depiction. We got the mango pastry, which was not overly sweet but retained a hint of mango flavor. Service was quick and efficient. Location is easily accessible via the subway.

Quick service and decent pricing. Got the matcha velvet croissant and it was pretty good. Would stop by again if I'm in the area.

Omg I wish I had more stomach to eat more! The mousse cakes are so pretty and bursting with flavor. The yuzu was amazing. I would love to try one for the other cakes too like the mango sticky pudding. The pastries were fantastic as well like the black sesame block. Crispy exterior that holds its shape and wonderfully moist and soft inside. I tried the traffic light drink and it was delicious and the layers were nice on the eyes. Highly recommend!!

The banana was good but it really just tastes like a banana so I don't think it's worth it The cloud was really yummy and this is a nice stop on the way to the show we were seeing

Salswee truly elevates the cafe experience with their Japanese-inspired pastries. I love the evolution of their menu, compared to a year ago when it was mostly puff pastries, the new dessert selection is much more impressive. This location def has more seating, though I really wish they would turn up the heat! It was freezing inside, which made it a bit hard to fully relax. What we got: Yuzu (4.25/5): A delicate hint of yuzu; I appreciated that it wasn't overly sweet. Mango (4.5/5): My favorite! The fresh mango flavor paired perfectly with the passionfruit

This bakery is sleek and spacious. I tried their basque cheesecake and it was the most delicious cheesecake I've tried. The staff is extremely kind and the dessert comes packaged really nicely. Highly recommend trying the dessert because they melt in your mouth and aren't too sweet!

The desserts here are delicious, with a light sweetness that's not overwhelming. The fruit fillings are fragrant, fresh, and very enjoyable. The drinks are also well-balanced and nicely flavored. I highly recommend trying the pear and mango pastries, as well as the butterfly pea coconut drink -- all beautifully made and just as good as they look. They offer a variety of desserts, including baked goods, and the presentation is stunning. There is seating available, though it can get quite busy, so you may need to wait for a table. Overall, definitely worth it.

Cute cafe to work in! Service was quick and friendly and the display made everything appetizing! They also list ingredients and are honest since I couldn't eat the gelatin based sweets. My friend enjoyed her coffee and mango dessert. I thought the coconut tea had too much coconut water and so the butterfly pea taste was completely lost. It was a little too sweet for my taste too. The strawberry tart was good and nice filling! It's a cute cafe but with the taste of the food, not worth the hype. It's definitely one of those instagram places

My friend recommended this place to me and I had to try it out. Right off the bat, the fruit desserts were so cute. Everything looked beautiful. I got the orange and the black sesame cube. The sesame cube was cool looking but it was a little dry. I would not recommend ordering it. The orange dessert on the other hand was so delicious. The crunchy coating was so thin. Once you bite into it the filling comes oozing out which was satisfying. Highly recommend ordering the fruit dessert or cakes.

Not only were these absolutely stunning they were also so delicious. Very fresh and amazing. I got the mushroom, Yuzu, and the mango and each of them were delicious. My favorite was probably either the mushroom or mango but the yuzu was still so good I'm glad I got it. A very nice small cafe- don't try to come sit inside with more than two people though. Service was great! Lovely place!

My cake was beautiful and delicious I recommend using bake…read morestreet. I picked the cake up in Queens with minimal contact. I paid online.

WARNING! CAKE was AWFUL! FELL APART!…read more I ordered a cake from a professional baker (Soma cakes) a few years ago that was beautifully made but was a bit bland, so I decided to look for a different baker. I found BakeStreet online, and I chose a baker, only to find out these are not "professional" bakers but HOME BAKERS! I didn't realize they employ home bakers until I asked my baker for the address. The NYC address they use for their business is NOT a real bakery! I thought these were professional bakers working out of a bakery. I found this part to be very misleading and only found out after I selected my baker and paid a deposit. My baker was 30 minutes from the city by car. I had made a deposit, and even though my intuition told me to back out, I decided to take a chance based on her reviews. I'm really curious if the reviews for the bakers are from real customers. Makes you wonder. You have to realize these cakes are being made in their homes! There are no sanitary rules that you know are being observed. My cake was placed in a cardboard box, and although it didn't really look like what I wanted, and the tassel, lettering, and diploma looked amateurish, what can a customer do after they paid for the cake and need it for a special occasion. Seriously, this is a great way to get ripped off! Once we got home and took the cake out of the box, it was falling apart, and the company had the nerve to tell us it was made properly! This cake was worth $100 maybe $150 but NOT almost $400. A cake that is baked properly will not fall apart after a 15 minute car ride! At the time that I picked up the cake, I told her I could hold it in my lap, but she said it wasn't necessary and placed the cake in the car. My Soma Cake that lasted an hour in the car to a different location never fell apart! The company had the nerve to offer me a $50 credit for a future cake that I would NEVER purchase! Why would I purchase another cake from a home baker? Poor customer service! They can enjoy my money! What a RIP-OFF! If a cake cannot make it in 15 minutes from pick-up to your location, there is something wrong with the cake! If you want to have a cake beautifully made, use Soma Cakes but don't get the red velvet. She is very talented. Her cake looked so realistic and we received a lot of compliments, but unfortunately it was bland, but it was a lot cheaper than what this company charged me, or you can just make your own cake. I'm sure it will be better than the disaster I received! Also, PLEASE do your research on this company. They have bad reviews on TrustPilot! If you want an okay cake, order from here. If you want a cake for a really special occasion, please go somewhere else. Find a place with an actual bakery and professional bakers. You will pay the same amount but get better results and not have to deal with their awful customer service!
