Really tasty dessert spot! This was my first time trying bingsu, and I really liked it! While the price was very high for what was mostly shaved ice. The cake and cookie were both tasty! Nice service and cute interior as well.
The pictures I saw online of this place looked a whole lot better than what I got in person. The interior is well decorated, and even the bathroom follows the same decoration theme you see in the store. The food itself was kind of a letdown. I got a ham and cheese croffle, and it just didn't come out that well. The waffle was soggy and made it difficult to pickup. There wasn't much filling inside the waffle either, which was kind of upsetting since the photos made it look like the inside would be stuffed with fillings. Overall left feeling very underwhelmed.
If you're a matcha lover, Gogojang is a must-visit! They have such a fun selection of specialty drinks, and every single one we tried was amazing. We ordered the strawberry matcha, ube matcha, and a few others, and they were all incredibly flavorful, perfectly balanced, and not overly sweet. You can tell they put a lot of care into their drinks. It was hard to pick a favorite because everything tasted so good! The staff was friendly, and the whole experience was great. I can't wait to come back and work my way through the rest of the menu! Also definitely try their croffles!
Happen to be in the area for errands and came across this really cute cafe/dessert spot! Didn't have room in my stomach for the desserts, but managed to try the bananarama (banana creme latte drink). It was pretty good - liked the little dried banana bits they added on top! My friend got the black sesame, which was also good. The cups holding the drinks were smaller than I expected, making my coffee feel a tad bit pricey for what I got. Staff was friendly (though my interactions were limited because we ordered on the touch screen tablet). Overall, it's a good place to catch up with a friend over few sips of coffee. Will need to comeback for the dessert if I'm in the area. Looks like they sell cute merch too!

Came here end of December 2025 with large group of people. For a place in Manhattan, its place is quite large to be able to accommodate a large group. However, in terms of food, I ordered a matcha coffee and it was alright. I think this place can have more to offer and it has room for improvement. Looking forward to that in the future, this place deserves a second chance : )
The cafe had a ton of seatings, so it is a good spot to catch up with friends. The crème latte drink looked a lot nicer in the menu - I'd suggest the cafe to stick plastic cups for customers dinning in. The strawberry matcha crème latte was tasty, not overly sweet.
It's an interesting space and was quiet on Saturday afternoon. We got the black sesame latte (earthy and tasty even for a non-coffee drinker) and the butterfly tea latte (very herbal until you mix the creme together) - both were good although I don't have to try the butterfly pea latte again. We also got the earl grey cake and the creme was so good, full of flavor, and the texture had so much tea flakes in it. It got a little too much tea leaves at times but perhaps that's what needed to add so much flavor. Prices are a little high given portion size but I'd go back and try more things.
This place has a unique perspective with its product, especially in this part of midtown, and I'm so happy to see GoGoJang Cafe here. From really exciting desserts to unique matcha and coffee drinks there are some really interesting things being done here. Not everything is Good - but i you're ordering to your taste there's a very good chance you'll get something very good, or maybe mind blowing. If you're coming in for just a matcha latter, this is not the place. The Dirty Matcha is one of the most interesting drinks in my opinion on the menu - if you like espresso, and you like matcha, then you can have some of the most expressions of each of those within this drink, which is a fun thing to experience! The Croffles are great, and they have fun savory Croffle sandwiches, even one with bulgogi! Perhaps try that!
I love to find a hidden gem in New York City. The cafe has extremely lovely decoration. You will find so many dessert options where you need few visits to try them all. The drinks and cakes have much balanced sweetness and not overwhelming. Staff were so friendly and accommodating. I will definitely come back again to try more.

I really enjoyed everything I tried: -Berry matcha: very creamy matcha foam, the berry was a bit too sweet -Earl grey tea cake: spongy cake flavor with a very tasty cream on top -Nutella banana croffle: delicious!!! makes me want to try all their croffles, it's perfectly toasted and slightly crispy -Chocolate ganache cookie: yummy, I think it would taste better warmed up but it's still a solid cookie. The staff here are so friendly. There is a bathroom, and lots of tables to sit at.
This is an adorable cafe that specializes in fun lattes and croffles--croissant waffle hybrid pastries. They also offer cookies with unique Asian flavors like black sesame and matcha. And if that's not enough sweet treats, they also sell beautifully packaged mini cake boxes. I got the berry matcha, which had a milk and berry base that was topped with the thickest, creamiest matcha foam. It was even garnished with a piece of croffle. The presentation was gorgeous and it was a delicious and creamy matcha. My friend enjoyed her hibiscus tea. We shared the earl grey croffle and that was delightful as well. The earl grey flavor was prominent in the cream topping and I didn't think it was too sweet. I've never had a croffle before but I really liked this. Imagine putting a croissant into a waffle maker--you have all the layers of a flaky croissant but you have a crispy waffle exterior. There was ample seating considering the Midtown location which I appreciated, so we were able to sit and chat. Our drinks and food came out quickly. I found this to be a little on the pricey side--I got my drink with almond milk and the total came out to nearly $10 and it was probably only 8-10 oz. Other than the prices, I really liked this place.
So good! Who knew? From the moment we walked in the staff behind the counter was incredibly friendly and polite. It was 105 outside and we just needed to have a cool drink. Well, $40 later... The menu is original, the creamy drinks with coffee are spectacular, seriously. Just delicious. And the waffle/croissant (croffle) was honestly out of this world. Sweet, flaky, and with a tiramisu topping I almost lost my mind. Thank goodness the portions are on the smaller side, otherwise, you're in 2k calories easy! Anywho, don't wait until it's 105 heat, go anytime. You'll enjoy it. read more

What a cute Korean inspired cafe! The inside is retro and super decked out, which is fun to step into for a break, especially in Midtown. We got a couple a matcha drinks which felt a bit on the pricey side for the size, and I personally wasn't the biggest fan of - it had a bit of that chalky texture / pre-made flavour, so I definitely think there are other spots to try in the city. That being said, the pastries (croffles, cookies, etc) looked great, so I'd consider maybe coming back if I was in the area to try something else out. read more
If you're after a cutesy retro cafe vibe, this is it. Gogojang cafe is in midtown close ish to moma so I decided to stop by before heading there to cool down with a beverage and a snack. I was a bit cautious because if you do the decor wrong the vibe could come off tacky and the food and drinks mediocre but they delivered. Decor was on point with kitschy girly pop vibes and great for photos. They even sold some retro snacks which went with their name which means roller skating cafe in Korean. Service is pretty minimal and ordering can be a bit confusing since they both seemed to take kiosk and counter orders. No clear signage but I guess you figure it out soon enough. I ordered a yuzu matcha, butter tteok, and a box of retro caramel (good but didn't count it towards my review since it's not store made) The drink was refreshing and citrusy with the right amount of sweetness. I loved that the butter tteok came warm with a combo of original and chocolate flavors in cute heart shell shapes. I was too excited to try them and forgot to get pictures (oops!) but guess that's a testament that they were good. Overall, would recommend! read more

It's so cute in there! I got their strawberry matcha , it looks does pretty but the taste was kinda powdery ik it's because of the matcha on top but I think it was too much and the color wasn't that great--! And their deserts are so good And have so many options read more

We stopped by this bakery to get something sweet to take back to the hotel and, we are still obsessed with this place! It was a cute little place and it was very clean. The people were friendly and the service was prompt. We ordered 3 different "cake in the box" items in the display: strawberry, tiramisu, and pistachio. They were "Oh My God Roll On the Floor" delicious. We wanted to get more the next day, but we had to be to the airport early and we were concerned that we might miss our plane. We still considered it though! On the way home, we searched to see if there was another location in Houston. Sadly, no. Highly recommend and the next time we're in New York, we will be back! read more

This is a cute little retro shop. It wasn't too busy in the morning so service was quick. I ordered the Berry Matcha which looks pretty too. Great balance of strawberry and matcha flavor- one did not overpower the other. The foam was so light and fluffy on top. They also have other snacks and sweets there too that looked delicious- I'll have to try them next time! read more

Looked appealing and has a pretty good rating but I was a bit disappointed. I ordered a decaf black sesame cream latte. I questioned whether it was decaf since it was the strongest coffee I've had in a long time. It definitely tasted good! Not much sesame flavor but I liked the creaminess of it. At $8.50 it wouldn't be something I'd have frequently. It also came with a small piece of croffle, which I very much enjoyed dipping in the cream. I ordered the pistachio croffle. It's an appropriate size for 1. I didn't love it. The single piece in my latte somehow tasted better. I think I'd rather try a cookie next time. They have a decent amount of seating but there were a lot of flies buzzing around. read more
I can see what they were trying to do with like korean style treats and drinks, but it's not very well executed. The earl grey croffle was tiny are served cold (not fresh) and the waffle tastes kind of sour but the cream was good. The matcha pistachio was crumbly like a cake, it didn't taste like a cookie, didn't really taste like pistachio or matcha tbh. The cold brew was not great either... Service was quick and friendly and decor is nice but I wouldn't come back based on the food... read more

When my friend suggested coming by for a drink after lunch, I was a bit ambivalent since I thought this was one of those cafés whose drinks and interior are optimised for instagram-worthy photos rather than quality/taste, but wow I was so happy to have been proven wrong. The interior is indeed quite nicely decorated (well, there's a bit of robot-themed art to one side that struck me as thematically a bit out of place). When we got there in the early Sunday afternoon, there were only a few others tables there (it's pretty spacious, plenty of seats available), and we got our drinks really quickly. We both ordered the berry matcha, which came with a little bite of croffle on the rim. Honestly, the croffle bite was pretty bad (and it's their speciality, apparently), so either their pastries are to be avoided, or (we hypothesised that) they were using (maybe day-old) leftovers for the garnish lol. The drink itself was surprisingly delicious, we raved about it afterwards. It's a pretty standard flavour combo - matcha and strawberry - but I thought it was prepared really well. The matcha creme on top wasn't too sweet, and mixing the strawberry jam with the milk was honestly so good. The flavours worked together really well, but the jam was sufficiently thick that it wouldn't fully dissolve or anything, and you could definitely still taste the individual components, too. Honestly even looking back I'm still quite impressed with how yummy this drink was (much of which was bc it was so flavourful without being overly sweet). Alas, it was really quite expensive for something of this size though (over $9!), so I fear I will not be a regular customer here. I'd love to come back for an occasional splurge though! :) read more

There is plenty of space and a variety of seating for your every needs whether you're coming solo or with a group of people. The staff are also super nice - I was waiting for my friend for like an hour and never felt pressured to order anything while I waited nor were they bothered by my presence etc. The ham and cheese sandwich was soooo good and it came with honey mustard sauce that is so tasty. I had to try the mugwort cookie because I had no idea what that was - it was yummy but I wish they could warm up cookies here. The starry night drink was absolutely amazing- definitely try that. I was expecting the croffle to be a bit bigger - they're pretty small tbh read more
what a cute cafe! the drinks were pretty small-- but full of flavor. we enjoyed them and they were definitely perfect to curb that morning sweet tooth! the croffle paired so perfectly with the pistachio cream! cookie was probably the only thing i wouldn't order again as it was pretty hard and dry. my order did get messed up as i was waiting a long time for a croffle that never came out. turns out i was only charged for the pistachio cream, but even then, was never given it until i asked them where my croffle was... cafe wasn't too busy at the time but we had all finished our drinks before we got to the croffle! anyways-- still enjoyed my experience and the vibe of the cafe! read more
If you like your coffee beverages on the sweeter side this is the place for you. The space is bright and cheerful. They have an amazing looking selection of cookies and other sweets. The lattes are a bit on the more pricy side. It is worth checking out though. The menu is different than your standard coffee shop. read more

Really cute cafe with yummy drinks and croffles! My friend and I got the tiramisu croffle and the earl grey croffle. We enjoyed both but the earl grey was our favorite. My friend got the yuzu matcha and I got the starry night drinks and they were refreshing and not too sweet. We went on a weekday night and it was not too busy and had a good amount of seating read more

Cute spot with a decent amount of seating. Portions are dainty and not meant to be shared. For the price, it's a little overpriced, but you have a large range of desserts and unique, Asian flavors. Would have loved to see more dairy free options. read more
