If I could give Lysee six stars I would. What an extraordinary museum of edible art ... there is no other way to describe it. The flavors, textures and colors are sublime, complex and satisfying, without being too sweet. There are other entremet bakeries in the area but none of them even come close to the delicate quality of the output at Lysee. I know, it's expensive. But in my mind, worth every penny. As a tourist foodie, I highly recommend Lysee when you're in NYC.

Very high end patisserie with Korean ingredients. Thinking the corn one was going to be my favorite, actually the winter citrus tart absolutely blew me away. It was the most perfect tart that I could easily see in a Michelin restaurant. I liked the corn but I've been getting corn fatigue lately because it seems like all the Asian spots are using it. Personally I just thought it was too much. The chocolate dessert was yummy as well and not too sweet. But the winter citrus tart was just on another level. I also like how they use fish gelatin. I definitely feel like the fish gelatin makes the desserts softer and smoother compared to normal gelatin. The cinnamon ginger chai like latte I had was so yummy. The teas served in a cute setting were so cute. Tea definitely goes better with the desserts than the latte. Service was so nice and attentive as well.

Super pretty decent and unique desserts! We split the corn and their signature dessert Lysee I think. I also tried the strawberry matcha cookie and milk chocolate banana cookie. The corn dessert was definitely unique and it had bits of corn in the dessert. The Lysee was ok, kinda like sticky bread pudding. The cookies were probably my favorite.

I came with two friends around 12PM Saturday for a quick catch-up without a reservation, and the next available time wasn't until 2:45 PM. Highly recommend making a reservation if you're planning to dine in. The second floor is for takeout, and it's a really modern, minimalist space filled with delicately displayed pastries -- we picked up the corn and Lysee pastries. The corn mousse was smooth with just a touch of sweetness, contrasted by a caramelized corn at the bottom. The Lysee also had a cream that wasn't too sweet, and the nut layer at the base vaguely reminded me of a Ferrero Rocher. Both are very elegant, but I'd say the corn is a bit more unique. They're definitely pricey as well but worth trying at least once.

Our first meal in NYC was Lysee for the prix fixed brunch. The granola was delicious and I really enjoyed both of the savory mains. SMOKED SALMON Avocado Sandwich with Laminated Bread, Creme Fraiche MUSHROOM QUICHE Various Seasonal Mushroom (Hen of the Wood, Pyogo, Oyster), Salted Egg Yolk Gel, Chive, Ganjang Creme Fraiche Sauce Quiche was super unique and was filling and balanced out the rest of the meal. 2nd floor had all the pasties laid out to be photographed! Loved the experience.

I've never been much of a dessert person but Lysee changed that for me years ago. On my recent return visit, I was so impressed that I actually carried a box of their treats all the way from New York to Los Angeles! The Evolution: It's been a few years since my last visit and it's wonderful to see how much they've grown. The selection has expanded significantly, yet they've managed to maintain and even elevate the exceptional quality and consistency they are known for. The Standout: While everything they make is a masterpiece, the signature "LYSEE" (their namesake corn mousse cake) remains my absolute favorite. The balance of textures and the subtle, refined sweetness are unmatched. It's the dish that first opened my eyes to the world of high-end pastry. Verdict: Lysee isn't just a bakery; it's a destination for anyone who appreciates culinary art. My only complaint is that they aren't in LA yet! If you're in NYC, this is an absolute must-visit--even for those who don't think they have a sweet tooth.

LYSÉE is truly a work of art. You can tell every pastry is crafted with immense care and precision--which makes sense given Chef Eunji Lee's background as a Michelin-starred pastry chef. What I appreciate most is that the treats are not overly sweet; the flavors are balanced and refined. The Corn pastry was easily my favorite--it's a creative masterpiece. The layout is unique: the second floor feels like a high-end museum where they showcase the offerings for takeout. If you want to dine in, the first floor is beautiful but very intimate with limited seating. I highly recommend making a reservation in advance to avoid a long wait. It is a bit pricey, but for the quality and craftsmanship, it's a wonderful treat to indulge in once in a while.

Very decadent and rich in taste. I got the individual portion desserts, the corn, lysee, and mille feuille. The corn was surprising, made mostly with corn. Unique taste, but very rich. Same for lysee, very rich taste with the toasted rice flavors. The one I had may have been a bit too toasted, it had some bitter notes mixed in with savory and little bit sweet. Mille feuille was my favorite, but it was so big. Most desserts I think can be split with 4 people, I shared it with one other. My ranking would be mille feuille, corn, then lysee. Interior has very limited seating on first floor, looks like needs reservation to sit in. Second floor is the gallery and order for pick up. Service was rather quick, I thought there would be a huge line in the morning hours, but only a few in front of us for ordering. Staff are professional and work quick. I'm glad I tried it, I may consider coming back to try the others I saw

Amazing! I've been to a lot of bakeries and this one takes the cake! The pastries are small works of art and taste divine. I had the signature Lysee mousse cake, which brings out a nutty flavor of the toasted rice mixed with the subtle sweetness of caramel and praline. The mousse is light while the flavor is rich. Such a unique and exquisite dessert!

Lysee truly feels like a museum with edible pieces that you can buy and experience! A beautiful space with friendly, professional staff, we were so fortunate to be able to walk in on a weekday afternoon and be seated immediately. We got the Lysee, the VIC, and a cookie to go (which came in a beautiful bag that totally embodied the aesthetics of the store). I will live with the flavors of the Lysee for a while yet. Light and texturally interesting, my husband and I agreed that we loved it. We got to also thank Chef Eunji herself in person! Oh how I wish Lysee was available 2500 miles away since that's how far we have to travel to experience this again. But we will certainly be back when we find ourselves in NYC!

OMG this place is amazing! It's like a museum of beautiful pastries you can eat. We opted for the brunch and it was coursed and delicious. The mushroom tart was the best tart I've ever eaten in my life. Come here if you are in NY you will love it! Happy Yelping!

What. An. Experience. I don't think I've ever had anything like it. Being a fan of desserts, I absolutely love the idea of a "museum of desserts". It's so enticing to have them on display, too, and made me want one of everything!! I had to make a tough choice, but went with the lysee, the corn, almond croissant, and pecan financiers. O.M.G. Not only do they look sensational, but they taste it as well. The variety of textures, the layers of expertise, the mix of flavors, it was all there. And to top it all off, I accompanied it with a sweet potato latte!! No tea, no coffee, just pure sweet potato - how cool is that??? Delicious and extraordinary. The lysee was the table favorite, I was expecting more of a punch of corn but it was quite subtle, the almond interior of the croissant was soft and creamy, and the pecan financiers were such a sleeper hit. All stunning works of art.

The place is pretentious. We waited 10 minutes and despite employees seeing us, they didn't tell us to order upstairs until we asked. I changed my rating from 1/5 to 3/5 Expensive? Yes Attentive to customers? Not really Tasty? Yes, one cannot deny

And I commonly see the upstairs for private events like baby showers, bridal showers, or birthday parties on social media. After dinner with my friends, I was looking for dessert and I was glad to see this location closes relatively late on a weekday night at 11 pm. Upon walking in, I was greeted by a waiter who led us to one of the purple velvet chair booths that was perfect for two people and another waiter brought us a pitcher of water almost immediately. The menu is on a QR code already on the table and we were given ample of time to decide. My friend and I both already knew what we wanted to order. I got the purple Yam Souffle which takes 25 minutes to make and my friend got the fried squid tails. We also got a signature Rose Green Milk Tea to share. The waitress who took our order has great memory and recalled all of our items without writing it down. She also reminded me that I could adjust the ice and sugar levels of my drink which I had completely forgotten and would have got annoyed if my drink came out 100% sweetness. Another thing is that my drink order frequently comes out wrong at other locations so I was glad she got it right! Green tea instead of black tea and with milk instead of without milk. The purple Yam Souffle is just like the other locations. Hot, soft cakey texture balanced with an ice cold red bean Ice-Cream. So delicious! The squid tails on the other hand was not what we expected. It came out burnt and hard. The outer batter was not crispy either. We informed one of the waiters and he brought it back to inform the kitchen staff. We received a new batch that was not as burnt and had more flavoring this time around. However, the squid was still hard and not like the ones we get from other locations with smaller crispier pieces. Overall, it was still a good experience and I love the decorations at this location! This might be my second favorite location after the Flushing one. Would love to come back for brunch or hi-tea. Or regular food options when I have not already eaten dinner. My usual go-tos are the twister fries, Santa Fe chicken rolls, fried salted crispy chicken, and the trio dessert combo. However, this location has a lot more variety! We ordered potted rose milk tea to share, Dubai affogato and Brown Sugar Boba Mille Crêpes Cake. We came on a Friday around 4pm. Originally I wanted to try the strawberry matchamisu, however, was told that it sold out. What a bummer. The rose milk tea came with a themed pot and cups which is really cute. The rose fragrant smelled so good and the milk tea also tasted good and has a hint of rose taste. The cake was good, the boba was well cooked, chewy and flavorful! This time there was an unpleasant experience. At first when the Dubai affogato was served, we did not realize that the amount of the coffee was little until we saw another customer's dish that the volume of their coffee looked significantly more than ours. My friend brought it to the waitress attention but the waitress brushed it off and did not acknowledge our concern. When we finished and were about to leave, the same waitress came over and showed us that the container of the coffee was different and hence the volume of the coffee looked different. At this point, we did not care for it anymore. We would have been fine if the staff acknowledged our concern. We thought that maybe using standardized containers for the coffee would avoid this problem. Other than that, the food and drinks were good.
