It's been a moment since I've been to this place always love coming to this place while I'm up here. The food here is great. I got the Navajo taco which Guy Fieri got while he was at this place. It came out great perfect no complaints. Your service was all right. The lady checked on us as much as she could. We had a party of seven so it was not right. Just be careful with the larger parties, they do add gratuity. I believe over parties of five. The ambience in the police was good decent. You could hear a little music in the background and still were able to keep up the conversation that your table without having new talk loud or super loud move over people. All in all love this place highly recommended if you have any Flagstaff on route 66. They have other good things chimichangas your classic Mexican part. Ordered the cheese crisp with green chili, Carne Asada Street tacos, and a Navajo taco. Didn't like any of it. Flavor was not authentic and lacked pizazz. One of our favorites in Flagstaff. The wife and I stoped in on a recent trip and were not let down. She had been waiting for her favorite, the lobster and shrimp enchilada's. Upon entering we were seated immediately. Our server was fantastic. He was not only very positive but just very helpful and had some recommendations for our day trip to Flagstaff. I ordered the carnitas combo which was delicious. The pork wasn't dry and the rice and beans were nicely flavored. The pineapple like salsa was my favorite. Our friend had their wedding dinner rehearsal at Salsa Brava last weekend. At first glance, this place did not look like much, especially from the outside. But when we arrived at 630PM on a Friday evening this place was packed. So much so, that there were not enough tables available for our wedding party. Our party ended up overflowing to the bar area. Like I said, the restaurant was packed full of people. Our party took up about 10 tables. We only had 1 server. I could not understand why none of the other servers came to help me. My table was one of the last tables for him to get to, by this time we had been seated for almost 40 minutes. Despite all of that, our server was amazing. He just appeared to be overwhelmed with the amount of people. The saving grace of this place, thankfully was the food. Once we ordered, the food came out fast and it was delicious. I had the lobster and shrimp enchiladas. My daughter had a chimichanga and my wife had a beef taco salad. There were no leftovers, which is not normal for us. They used a white sauce on most of the meals which was just fantastic. Based on the food, I would highly recommend this place. They might be understaffed and that could explain some of the frustration. But it was worth the wait. Being from San Diego, I am looking forward to an opportunity to eat here again. read more

Without reservations, we hit this place for happy hour when we got into town. The only available seating was at the bar, which we were fine with. The two bartenders/servers were friendly and helpful. My husband got one of the beers they had and we ordered a couple different tacos. The Baja fish ones were fantastic, with a generous portion of crispy fish with the normal toppings in a slightly fried tortilla. Stopped in for a working lunch as my truck windows were getting tinted. It was an odd time (2pm) so the restaurant was virtually empty. The service was very friendly and prompt. I ordered a shrimp taco and the spinach enchiladas. Both dishes are very good and portion size was decent. It's also served with chips and salsa which was served with three different types of salsa. Salsa Bravo! There was plenty of parking upon arriving. There was no wait when greeted by the host and immediately seated at a booth. We were quickly offered chips and salsa complimentary with 3 flavors of salsa; Hot, medium, and mild. Delicious! We were then greeted by our very attentive server Danielle. She greeted us and asked if this was our first time. Which in fact it was. She took our drink orders and gave us time to review the full menu. My sister ordered the fish tacos, my mom ordered chicken tacos and I ordered the carne asada chimichanga burrito. Everything tasted fresh. No complaints at all. Portions were generous considering the price point. We decided to finish with two orders of Sopapillas, which we didn't realize each order included 4 individual Sopapillas. They were seasoned with cinnamon and served warm with individual packets of honey. The restrooms were clean, the staff were friendly, and the ambiance was very warm & welcoming. Im not sure if I had the Navajo Taco, or if it had me. What a monster of a meal, I think ill sleep for 3 days now. Lots of waitstaff, the place was hopping. Three different salsas came out with the chips, one kind of a sweet mango, one a smokey mesquite, I settled in on the salsa fresca and hammered two bowls of it. The menu had maybe 10 or 12 choices I could have gone with, I think you could eat there for a week and still find things you wished to try. I don't know what happened, but, the food has gone downhill. We ordered the Classic Carnitas Burrito and it was terrible. The pork had been so over cooked it had turned to tasteless mush. The refried beans were equally tasteless and the rice was crisp from drying out and old. The service is friendly and efficient, but the food is lacking. We ordered a cheese crisp as an appetizer, which was good. The other entree we ordered was the Farmers Market Burrito and it too, was so bland. I ordered doordash from here, so I cannot say anything about the actual place but I can about the food I got the three enchiladas w pico de gallo and it was sour, like nasty and old. Also the enchiladas were okay but it was so drenched in sauce i could barely figure it out. It also had a few rotten tomatoes like from the pico. I currently do not feel good. I feel very gross. Wow! As a local, this is the place to go! For happy hour or take the family and friends. The food is delicious and the service is the best. Love the ambiance, really welcoming. We see a lot of locals and because it's near the exit on I-40 on the way to the Grand Canyon, lots of travelers stop in for a meal. Not too long of a wait for a table unless it's the super busy time. You're the chip to my Salsa Brava! I was looking for a good lunch spot to break up the driving from Sedona to the Grand Canyon. When I saw that Guy Fieri ate here, I had to try it. I'm a huge DDD fan! Back to the food, the chips and salsa were awesome. I was BORN TO BE MILD so I liked the pico de gallo and tomatillo salsa the best. The tomatillo salsa had a hint of sweetness which was excellent! The best dish for us was the peach and habanero carnitas tacos. I like the sweet and salty stuff. I couldn't taste the habanero. Everyone raves about the stuffed sopapilla, however, I thought it was not as good as the tacos. It is like a big calzone stuffed with a meat of your choice, cheese and beans. Definitely a heavy dish, which is why my partner got super sick. He says I should have given this a 4 star review. Since I'm writing the review and I liked the food, I'm giving this a 5 star review. As a Flagstaff native who has supported this local business for over 35 years, I am deeply disappointed by my recent experience. After how my family and I were treated, I will no longer support this restaurant. For my father's birthday, he chose this restaurant because it's one of my mother's favorites. We quickly finished the small basket of chips and the three tiny bowls of salsa. When my father asked for more salsa, we were informed there would be an additional charge. The same applied to extra chips. I recall that this restaurant for many years used to have a salsa bar and offered unlimited chips, it's what it was known for. I noticed that other tables received the same portions regardless of the number of people at the table. When our food arrived, my father found his meal was not hot. My mother recounted that during her 2 previous visits, she had found chicken bones in her chicken quesadilla both times, and neither the waitress nor the management addressed the issue. My own food was bland, chewy, and not hot despite the plate being warm. I was hesitant to ask for additional salsa due to the extra charge. The bill included a 4% fee before taxes, which meant I was also paying taxes on this fee. When we questioned this, the waitress mentioned it was due to an arrangement between the owner and the city. The manager, who was sent to address our concerns, approached us with a dismissive attitude. She explained that the fee was implemented to keep menu prices lower and claimed that the owner was doing us a favor. Regarding the portion sizes, she was also dismissive when I pointed out that we received the same portions as smaller tables. When my father and I mentioned that we would no longer be returning, she sarcastically responded, "I'm sorry to hear that. Have a nice day." The situation continued to deteriorate. As we were leaving, my elderly mother, who has difficulty moving quickly due to her bad knees, was almost pushed aside by the busboy as he rushed to clear our table. This lack of consideration and respect was shocking. Between the nickel-and-diming, the manager's unprofessional behavior, the subpar food quality, and the hasty attempt to push us out, I will not be returning to this restaurant or recommending it to others. read more
