I love my hair salon! Kailah V. is the best. I found this salon on Yelp when I first moved to Austin in May. I have been visiting every 6 weeks since moving here and am really happy with all of my services. I highly recommend Kailah for fun colors. She has done pink, plum, and consistently covers my roots each time. I also got a full hair cut with long face framing layers and have been really happy with my hair. The salon itself is so comfortable. You are greeted as soon as you walk in the door and the receptionist is so nice. He is on it! I can't remember his name but he gets you quickly checked in and rebooked each time. They have complimentary coffee, drinks, snacks, etc. and comfortable chairs to wait in. The salon is spotless and all of the stylists are nice. I love going here. Easy parking lot out front and right next to Merfolk's Specialty Coffee. 10/10! read more

Ray is amazing!!! 5 PLUS stars. I cannot recommend her enough for hair color. I love that she really listened to me - what I wanted, what my concerns were, what her experience has shown. She spent a lot of time taking to me before even coloring. I cannot recommend her enough - totally the best experience I have ever had! Loved the vibe of Salon Rosè just in general, too. read more

Hands down the BEST salon experience I've ever had! It was my first time here and everyone was so nice and had killer style!! I get real bad social anxiety especially when it comes to going to new places but Ray was so amazing! She took the time to ask me in detail on how I wanted my haircut and explained things which I loved. She was very professional but also very friendly, it felt like I knew her for years haha I can't express how great this place was! Definitely will become a regular with Ray :) read more

I went to Salon Rose several years ago to get a cut after brushing out my dreadlocks. The atmosphere was so cozy and welcoming, plants everywhere. My stylist explained that because my hair was so uneven from the brushing out, she couldn't make it even without cutting it really short, so we agreed to leave a few places shorter than others. It was a great experience, and I will definitely be back! *I sometimes have anxiety about cutting my hair, so it's not something I do often* read more

Kayla cut my 6 year old daughters hair; and it is truly the best hair cut she's ever had; and likely I've had haha. My daughter experimented with cutting parts of her hair; and she showed up with a pretty big task to fix. She gave her THE BEST haircut that had shaggy bangs, just the right layers, and really suited her. We've gotten tons of compliment on her haircut; and it has grown out absolutely beautifully. We continue to get comments on it. We will only be booking with her in the future; and I'm going to start getting my hair cut by Kayla too. What a great find! Thanks Kayla!!! read more

I've been a devoted client of Salon Rosé for several years and for many more years to come! I drive all the way from Georgetown just to see Dalanie, who is excellent with bright, vivid colors. Ray is awesome, she spent a really long time giving me lots of pointers and advice. will be back!

They are amazing. Love the service and the vibes here. Love the work. Highly recommend coming here. 10/10

Salon Rosé is absolutely amazing! I came and got a rose gold balayage and hair cut with layers! I was definitely last minute hoping they had some openings for a Wednesday since I was off from work. Kayla my stylist had an appointment at 2:30 and a busy the rest of the week! It was almost fate and scheduled it same day! She was so amazing, fun, and so excited to be able to help me, she said these types of styles with non natural colors was her favorite type of appointment. She is definitely someone who takes extreme pride and care in anything she does as she absolutely should! It was definitely not a small job, but she finished it and I was extremely happy, she even let my kids and husband in there while she finished up and was saying how absolutely adorable they were! Yall hit up Kayla at Salon Rosé you will NOT be disappointed!! She got every detail down to the T! Thank you Kayla!!! read more

I have had the pleasure of getting my hair done by Ray for almost 2 years now and I will be coming back for many more. Having gone through so many hair looks, Ray has been there with their expertise, knowledge and amazing personality to make it an overall amazing experience. I leave feeling confident and ready to take on the world with my hair every time. I LITERALLY could not recommend Ray enough. Also everyone there is really sweet and kind, and the place has a really nice vibe to it. I get excited every time I have an upcoming appointment even if it's just a bang trim :) read more

I've been seeing my incredible hairdresser, Madelon, for over a decade, and I couldn't be more grateful! Not only is she an exceptionally talented colorist, but she's also an amazing person who always respects my wishes. Her salon is conveniently located, making it easy to fit into my busy schedule. From the receptionist to the entire styling team, everyone is kind, welcoming, and genuinely cares about their clients. What truly sets Madelon and Salon Rose apart, though, is her attention to detail and dedication to ensuring I love my hair every time I leave the salon. Plus, her scalp massages are absolute bliss! If you're looking for a hairdresser who will truly listen and deliver outstanding results, look no further than Madelon and her hair wizards at Salon Rose... taking me from a sad brunette to a natural looking blonde for more than a decade with ease! read more

I've been a client since October 2023 and got a color correction for long black roots and dyed the roots blonde and left the rest of my hair red. It looked great but I had issues with banding when getting root touch ups but was able to come in and get it corrected free of charge by the stylist. I had an appointment for 12:15 PM on March 29th and arrived at 12:27 PM. When I sat down I was informed by the stylist that she "felt bad" about me having to come in to get the banding issue corrected previously so she needed to reschedule my appointment so as not to "compromise the integrity" of her work. I have a vacation for April 2nd and my hair has 7 weeks of root growth so now I need to find a stylist who likely won't be able to see me before I leave and may be booked weeks in advance. I felt really embarrassed because even though I was 12 minutes late, my appointment was cancelled and it was presented as if it were for my benefit even though I was looking forward to this all week and was going to leave a bigger tip to make up for the 12 minutes. For background, my appointment was at 2:30 PM and I moved it up in time the day prior on March 28th because the receptionist said the stylist was free the whole morning before my original 2:30 PM appointment. I'm going to drive 45 minutes back to Round Rock (my stylist knows I have a long drive to and from the salon) super embarrassed and will try to find a new colorist who isn't booked weeks in advance. My vacation hair will not have refreshed roots and a new moneypiece like I was looking forward to Positives are that the ambiance is nice and that there is free wine offered. If it weren't for this occurrence I would continue to come back. read more

I've been going to Madelon for years and was so excited for her when she opened Salon Rose! I decided after years of home bleaching and dying, I wanted to grow my hair out, and the only way to do it was go to a stylist. I am SO HAPPY Madelon was recommended to me. She is a hair wizard and artist. She's helped my hair grow around 4 or so inches since I started going to her, and it feels healthy, and doesn't have that crunchy feeling (even though I get it bleached still). At first I started by bringing her pictures, but now I just let her create her art and it always exceeds expectations. She also cuts my hair so that it really makes the color WOW!!! We have tons of fun at my appointments even if they are all day! Madelon is the best stylist I've ever had. She makes me feel like an old friend, and I enjoy each appointment. The salon is also so cute and comfy. Tons of waiting room, and a little nook that makes me want to snuggle up and read a book. The lighting is flattering, so you don't have to sit and stare at dark circles on your face during your appointment (I've always hated looking at myself in the mirror in other salons). The decor is great and there are a lot of lush plants. They also have Waterloo, beer and wine to enjoy. I seriously recommend this salon to every single person I meet that asks for a suggestion. Also all the other stylists are so sweet and super talented to! You can't go wrong. Just look at the picture evidence! read more

heyyyyyy so I never really use yelp to write reviews AND i realize that this sounds like im writing a letter to the editor of some 70s magazine BUT a friend recommended I come in and get a cut with Chelsea and it was such a rad experience. She was super cool and accommodating, and by the way I LOOK FANTASTIC. 5 stars and ill be back for sure. read more

I came to Salon Rosé after seeing Elise at another salon for a few years. I love this place. It doesn't feel like you're average salon, because these stylists are all so unique and creative, and the vibe in there is just really accepting and respectful and chill and FUN, without being over the top. A+ right there. But what really matters is what your hair looks like when you leave right? I've seen Elise for years, and there's a reason for that. She is so talented when it comes to both color and styling. I had originally only seen her for styling and extensions for the first few years, which was always stellar. It's pretty rare to know what you're expecting every time you sit in the chair, so I already knew all of this time that she was my girl. Earlier this year I just felt bored with my look. It had been the same for years and I needed something that was edgy and fun. I was nervous about trying peek-a-boo blonde, or really anything new. Seeing Elise's IG (@blonde.and.boujeee) cemented my need for something new. She was a wizard with her other clients, so I just said alright, girl, let's do it. What happened next was literally life-changing. She gave me a hairstyle that I literally never want to get rid of. She listened to what I wanted and educated me on why it's worth going out of my comfort zone. Elise worked her freaking MAGIC and now I'll never let her go. If you're wondering if this is the stylist for you, look no further than Elise. After all these appointments (which is a lot with extensions), she is now a staple in my life. I genuinely look forward to our appts and wish they go on longer each time read more

Loved my cut with Chelsea! I consider myself fairly easy to please when it comes to stylists, but I was ecstatic when Chelsea styled my hair exactly like I've asked stylists to do in the past and actually got what I wanted. I always assumed either my hair "wouldn't do" what I wanted, or that I wasn't asking right, but she understood and styled it exactly like I wanted. They destroyed my hair. I went in to get an ombre with Tara. During the process, she became concerned with what was happening with my hair and the foils. So, she quickly took them off and rinsed my hair off. She told me my hair wasn't damaged and it was just that it wasn't going to be as bright as I wanted. That was, unfortunately, a lie. My hair was so damaged that chunks fell out the next day. When it happened, Tara and another hair stylist explained that sometimes their chemicals react like that with hair that had been dyed previously. They also mentioned it'd happened plenty of times before and that there was a simple wash which could have prevented such a reaction. However, they'd never asked me any questions about my hair history before the procedure (and I'd never had my hair "react" with salon products). They even seemed to imply it was my fault that my hair must have had something on it. The funny thing was, the last time I put any dye on my hair was five months ago, and it was a one week temporary dye (they said this was definitely the culprit). I have shampooed and conditioned many times since then. I didn't realize how bad my hair was damaged while I was at the salon, as it was loaded with gels, toner, and then blow dried. It was somewhat puffy and frizzy after being blow dried, but I never blow dry my hair, so I figured that was simply the reason why. The next day, with all the heavy gels and creams washed out, my hair was a mess. I've had to get a different hair appointment with a different salon to cut off about half of my hair, because of how severely it was burned. To make matters worse, this salon has dodged my calls and emails. I've been told I need to speak to the manager, but the manager seems to be ignoring me. I'm extremely frustrated considering how expensive this hair treatment was and how terribly it was done. I do not recommend this salon. There are so many other salons out there that will not wreck your hair and then ignore you. read more

Chelsea is an amazing artist I will follow regardless of where she goes in Austin, and what a cute location she's picked in Salon Rose! Even though i live pretty far north (where burnet meets 183), I have absolutely no problem following this HAIR QUEEN! She's taken me from blond to pink to purple to blue to literally wherever else i want to go, without sacrificing the condition of my hair in the process. She is honest and upfront with my questions, which I super appreciate considering some salons I've been to will do whatever you want, hair be damned, as long as you're willing to pay the price. If you want someone who really cares, definitely tey to get on Chelsea's books! The space itself is ADORABLE! Plants everywhere, products neatly aligning the shelf -- not to mention plenty of wine, beer, or sparkling water to select from as you get a hair update. 5 stars, with a glowing recommendation from me :) read more

7/23/21 updated review: my mom is visiting from out of town and wanted to book a coloring appointment after box dying her hair a few times - I recommended Madelon since my mom can be quite picky and has rarely ever found a colorist/stylist she likes. And of course given how accommodating Madelon is it only made sense I send her to SR! My mom's cut and color turned out fantastic, perfectly framed for her face and features, and the color is so natural looking to what she had previously! I also wanted to surprise my mom by paying for her appointment, which both Pam and Madelon helped me with all via phone which made it easy. I love love love how understanding these ladies are and how they always deliver on their clients' needs. 10/10! read more

I found Salon Rosé on instagram after a few weeks of searching. I had just moved to Austin from Minnesota. I got set up with an appointment with Elise and I wouldn't go see anyone else. Chiaki was patient, friendly, & truly her time to discuss my hair needs throughout the entire appointment.
