We both have really curly hair. She cut my daughters after washing and drying to get it right with the curls. Did a Groupon deal for Mink fill. I was due for it as it had been 3 weeks since I got them done. Got there 20 minutes prior. As I pulled into my parking spot- drove 41 minutes to get there- got a text to get my Groupon refunded because she was having tech issues with Groupon. Long story short- after I got the "fill- she says I got a full set so I had to pay $80 instead of the Groupon rate for the fill. Bring your confirmation email as she claimed that this was specified at that time when I purchased the fill- I never had this happen before and want to alert anyone else before it happens again. She did a great job on the work but the way this happened was bad from a customer standpoint. Also- don't show up early because there is no lobby furniture and you will end up standing waiting for your appointment. read more

I went in 2 weeks ago and debated writing a review... but I feel the need to because this place has 5 stars and I'm shocked at why they have such good reviews. I received quite possibly the worst haircut ever. I went in to get a healthy amount off and trim up the rest of my face framing and layers. It all looked so bad. Choppy, not much blending, shorter bangs than discussed, etc. Even my friends were honest and said that it looked super bad. The experience itself was also bad. Daniel was super rough with my hair and head and none of it felt relaxing. I really don't recommend going here. Find somewhere better. read more

So pleased with my service and experience! Reyna Mueller is such a talented color specialist and stylist! Her work is truly one of skill and expertise. If you are blonde, she really has a talent for the latest color trends and how to achieve your desired color. You can check out her work on social media. She does great work with all hair colors but I'm blonde and her clients I've seen are also blonde. She uses great quality products and doesn't push anything on you unless you ask. She also is very honest about what your hair is capable of. She will not tell you she can do something to your hair and not deliver. She is a remarkable stylist and a very genuine person as well. I have had the pleasure of having Victoria do my hair back in Colorado for four years now. She has done the best job of anybody I've ever had do my hair. She is an excellent colorist as well as has an great knack for knowing what to do for my face shape. She has put in extensions in as well as condition, colored, cut and highlighted my hair. I have never been one to spend a ton of time on my hair and she makes it so easy to be a teacher and work In a research lab without looking like a lab experiment. I can't tell you how many compliments I get at the grocery store, Costco, Macy's and gas station etc. If I were rich I would fly to Austin and still have her do my hair. I love this place everyone is nice they due a really good job on your hair and really listen to what you want. The eyebrow threading is not done there any longer. They are also in the process of looking for a new message therapist. Asora is right down the way from where I work, I've had some pretty terrible experiences at other salons who basically told me they wouldn't cut my hair like I asked. But my stylist, Amanda, did some amazing work. I showed her a picture from Pinterest and she did just that and made it more amazing. I can't stop running my fingers through it. I had long, thick, unruly hair and she made short, soft and completely manageable. I can't wait to get my hair colored! I made an appointment for a massage in the same shopping center Saturday. I was way early and got a mani/pedi next door, and noted this salon on my way to my massage. After my massage I decided to drop in because I was in desperate need of color for my 2 inches of growth. Angie took me right in and figured out how to best match my color. She just happened to have a cancellation so I considered myself very lucky and I was optimistic about stopping into a salon having done no research. I've been going to Affy, the owner of Asora Salon for a few months. I discovered the salon in fairly far South Austin at the intercession of Wm. Cannon and Brodie, in the strip center behind the Taco Bell. He's not like most hair dressers. He's quiet and obviously introspective, and after looking at your hair and talking with you, he get's to work. If you're looking for a chatty Patty, forget Affy. I've even taken my mother in. . . of course, it helps with Affy's deal, if you bring him two new customers, he'll give you a free cut! He's also got great hours for the working women -- M to S, 11 am to 8 pm!!! I'm delighted with my cuts, and he's very reasonable at $30 for a womens haircut, unless you find one of his coupons in a Mailpak. read more

They both moved to this salon from another salon in 2011. I followed them here. I think the new owner is very cool as is making great improvements. But I was compelled to give others my positive feedback after my experience this morning with Reyna of Asora Salon! First of all she took my frantic "emergency" hair call and was able to see me immediately. But not just that...she read me like a book on what I needed without me having to stumble upon explanations or even examples!! She made me feel very comfortable and honestly I feel like I've made a friend. She's honest, knowledgeable, did an amazing job on my hair ...I'm talking borderline color correction, badass all over highlights and complete renovation of a hair cut plus styling! I feel so lucky that I found Reyna! She gave me THE BEST haircut I ever had in my 50 something years! In the past (other hairdressers) told me that my hair was too thin to layer...but Reyna was confident that it would look great! And it did and it does months later!( meant to write this review earlier!) Once, I tried a Groupon hairdresser and wound up back to Reyna to fix the mess!
