So I had never heard or seen this place - and was a bit skeptical but figured I should trust the ratings -that's how my husband found it on yelp, so he bought my Mother's Day gift - mani/pedi certificates. Well, thanks again yelp, as he would have never found this place, nor would I ever have found it on my own. The team there are meticulous and did a really solid job - my nails look great! John does a serious foot massage - and for a $35 mani/pedi I think this is a bit of a steal (My experience had been you only get mani pedi deals in Manhattan- where it's not crazy expensive and a good job!)- but now I've found a place that has both in NJ!! Now be advised on two things - they took their time it wasn't zoom zoom under an hour done - it was an hour and half+ with all the massaging, drying, etc. and if you're looking for fancy aesthetics you'll be disappointed- but if all you need is the massage chairs during your pedi, very clean, and a tv - you'll be happy. Be warned everyone else in the area recognizes the deal as it was non-stop Saturday morning. So if you're looking to walk in on Saturday I would advise you make an appointment the week ahead as you'll need to be squeezed in amongst the regulars- as everyone who walked in was greeted by their first name. Oh a sign requested tips in cash but that should be the norm / understood for anyone who has been in the Manhattan/NJ area. read more

I have been coming here for many years, but hadn't been here in a while. I called to make an appointment for a regular manicure and pedicure for a wedding. Although they were closed, they texted me back immediately to make the appointment. They also sent me a confirmation text the day of the appointment. I was a bridesmaid in a wedding, so I wanted to match my nail color to my dress. Not only were they very patient because it took me 5-10 minutes to decide on a color, but the staff and other customers gave me their opinions. John did my pedicure. Everything was really clean and when I told him I had a little scrap on the ball of my foot, he was very gentle with it. The foot massage was great and included in the regular manicure price. A regular manicure and pedicure were $35 and I believe it's $30 during the week. My manicurist was very attentive and careful. They play movies and the other customers are regular and very friendly. My manicure lasted a week with no chipping. I will definitely be back! read more

I have to thank all of the others who have written about this place because I would have never found it otherwise. This place is AWESOME! I made an appointment and received a text message from Jay confirming it (efficient and helpful). As people have said before, John gave me the BEST PEDICURE I've ever had in my life. Kim did my nails and her diligence cannot be beat! I was able to get an appointment (2 weeks in advance) for a mani/pedi on a Saturday afternoon. Truly, I appreciate that they weren't able to accommodate me the day that I called for a same day appointment because they're booked and they're not going to rush someone else to squeeze me in. I really respect that because when I was able to make an appointment, at no point did Kim and John rush which meant I had a relaxing and stress-free appointment. I made an appointment with them for my next visit before I even left. I absolutely cannot wait to go back; this is definitely my go-to place from now on! I came to this place based on great reviews on my town's Moms' Facebook page. The service and ambience were excellent. They were so courteous, friendly, and professional. I got a fabulous pedicure that was perfect with a great massage. The salon was very clean and relaxing. I highly recommend this nail salon! Let me start off saying that I've only been here once after seeing the great reviews. On to my review: I've been to many nail salons in this town (obviously, born and raised), so I feel like I know a thing or two of how a nail salon should run. I came here on a week day after work, and I was the only person in the shop. It's small, and kind of tucked away on E. McClelllan next to a karate studio. If anyone from town remembers, I think this is close to where that Pickles place used to be (the name is escaping me). It's pretty small, but it's clean. I got a great deal for a mani-pedi because it was a week day, and they seated me right away. The pedi was nice, massage was great, and the girl was really attentive. They weren't that close to closing time (I think I showed up over an hour before they were going to close), but they had another girl soak my nails because I had gel polish on. I brought my own regular nail polish. The manicure was nice, and the girl was thorough. I'm not going to lie, they seemed a bit cold, and almost like they were rushing me. Which, I would understand if I had showed up 30 mins before closing time, but I didn't. I showed up over an hour before and there was no one else in the salon. I give them 4 stars because of cleanliness, efficiency, and how good my nails looked. But, not 5 because they rushed me and seemed cold. I would give them another chance though, especially after seeing more people review, and being that my experience was from 2013. read more

Came here for the first time today, and the experience was great. The store is really small, but you get the attention. I was in the store for a pedicure. With the callus treatment, I paid $30. I was in there for 1 hour. I wish the girl will massage my feet more. Will try one more time and see. read more

This is the ONLY place I go to get my nails done. BJ Salon take their time, are reasonably priced, do a very clean job, and the massages are amazing. My favorite combo is Mani- Pedi with a reflexive foot massage. If you go, make sure you schedule a fair amount of time because they do not rush you out! read more

This place has it all! It's kind of in an odd location among the suburban neighborhood of Livingston. However, I have tried many nail salons in or near the area and this place is by far the best. It is very clean, the women who work there are very sweet, it's only 25$ for mani/pedi (10$ for a manicure), and always do a great job. The cherry on top is that they are always playing a new movie on a big flat screen TV. On more than one occasion I found myself staying longer watching the end of a movie, haha. read more
