The receptionist/owner Kim is very rude and unaccommodating. I have been a long time patron of this establishment since they have opened often referring friends and family. I Even referred Kim for an internship at my corporation when she was in college. However each time she acts as if it's a bother to service me. This is my local go-to nail salon that I highly recommend to everyone. Scheduled a pedicure and gel manicure for a Friday morning and could not be happier with the quality of the result. Asked for an ombré gel manicure when I got there and they were able to accommodate the extra request. (Ombré is $15 extra with a gel manicure) Coco nails staff always makes sure I'm comfortable and they check in with me constantly to make sure that I'm happy with their work. All of the ladies who work here are so kind, sweet, and careful with their customers. I really appreciate that I don't usually have to wait too long (didn't wait at all the last two times) and that appointment times are respected. I wanted to note that they have about a 10-15 minute grace period for appointments, so make sure you're on time! Soooo I'm dog sitting in this area and normally do my own nails, UV gel but didn't have my supplies so figured I'd give this place a shot. It was cute and they were really nice but the quality wasn't great. I've been getting UV gel for a few years and I've never seen them done so fast or done how they were.. there was no slip layer applied or base coat for the gel color which showed when the polish peeled off a day later.. I asked for almond shaped and the first photo is what I got, versus what I asked for, versus how my nails normally look with this so it's clear it's not my nail shape. I have pretty bad anxiety so the whole process being rushed I didn't really inspect them until I got in the car nor say anything while I was in there. A friend and I made an appointment at Coco Nails on a Wednesday afternoon. We both got pedicures. I had gel fill in and my friend wanted to try the dip powders. This is most likely one of the only few places near me that does dip powders; needless to say we were very excited! When we arrived Kim, greeted us at the door and we were pleasantly surprised at the calm and inviting atmosphere. One of the cleanest salons I've been to. Thankfully we arrived before the rush; as we found out during our stay that this place can become quite busy. First they lead us to get our pedicures. The chairs were very comfortable and we love the massage features. As we were getting our pedicures done, Kim brought to us the selection of polish example colors for our specified manicures. I have to say, this salon has an amazing selection of colors and specialty polishes. Chrome, Mood, Glitter, Magnetic, and various examples of nail art! We were very impressed and overwhelmed with all the choices! I decided on a beautiful blue/purple chrome and my friend a subtle but perfect for fall mauve color for dip powder. After our relaxing pedicures it was time for our nails with Mia! My friend went first with her dip powder. The process was incredibly fast. I sat next to her watching in awe. Initially the powder in the pot looked much darker than the color chosen but when it went on her nail it transformed into the actual color. They say this type of manicure is better because it is your actual nails supporting it and has very long wear time. She was so happy with how it turned out! Then my turn with my gel fill in, Mia worked with such finesse. The chrome powder that was applied to my nail on top of the base color was so cool. It was love at first sight. A new nail color staple for me! Over all, Mia made us feel so relaxed as we all chatted together. She took her time with both of us, not making us feel rushed at all. We were very happy with our experience here and we will most likely keep coming back to this gem. Actually we'll be going back this weekend! It's been about a month since our last visit and they recently renovated! The salon was already beautiful so we were surprised to hear it! I was referred to this nail salon by fantastic family friends (thanks Keresse & Essex) and have now have multiple visits under my belt and am very impressed. The salon is super clean. Kim - who usually takes ur reservation and sometimes works with you depending on what ur having done is UBER professional and quick to help or accommodate in any way she can. Her momma is hilarious (not sure if that's on purpose but i like it!) and rest of the staff is paying attention and working in tandem to get what you need or fix it if something is wrong! I showed up 1.5 hours before closing for a manicure.. everything was going well, she asked me to pay before she polished my nails (I know a few nail salons do this so I wasn't surprised), but as I was drying I noticed she checked out 2 customers after rendering their services this was extremely odd, what was the difference between myself and these ladies (other than the color of our skin)? This is, overall, a good place for a pedicure. It is, however, a little pricey at $25.00 a pedicure, but the pedicurists do a fairly good job. My only qualms are that if you go on a weekend quite often they're rushing to get in as many people as possible, and for $25.00 that just shouldn't be. Also, the OWNER (I believe her name is Mia) IS VERY RUDE and overall, a snob who "thinks who she is." I have been coming to this salon since January and I will not go back nor recommend this place to others. The owners attitude is horrible. I loved the staff (not including the owner) as they are always friendly and welcoming. I asked if it was ok to bring my little one to get her toes painted. The owner said it was ok. Our first experience was amazing her toe nails looked great. A staff member painted them. The second visit the owner did my daughter's toe nails and did a horrible job. When I say horrible I mean she painted her whole darn foot! She initially said she would not charge me for the bad job but when it came time to pay I questioned my bill. The owner talked over me when I asked if she would mind looking over at her work on my daughter's nails, She refused and shoved the money back at me. The owner also rushed through completing my SNS nail service and they were bumpy and not even. Even with this trips experience I thought that the issue was resolved and I'd just ask for a different nail tech. When I walked in the owner said she couldn't do my nails. I told her that was fine as I didn't want her but another tech (who was not in that day). She said she would have someone do my pedicure but not my nails she went on to speak negatively about me loudly to a salon full of patrons. This woman flat out rude. I have been looking for a good nail salon in the area and was disappointed to find that this isn't it. The nail technicians are very nice, but that was the only real redeeming quality. My gel manicure lasted less than 5 days before chipping (several nails) - my other gel manicures that were done elsewhere have lasted 10+ days (and usually start to grow out before they chip at all!). I also didn't see any sterilizers for the instruments (nor were they taken out of sterilized peel packs) and the whirlpool tubs for pedicures were barely rinsed between customers. The facility is more like a spa, clean decorated beautifully with updated with products. Today I was even offered coffee or bottled water!
