Eh! I'm torn with how I feel about this place. It's a beautiful and peaceful salon that really gives you that spa feel. It smells like a spa, sounds like a spa and have astronomical prices like a spa! My gel pedicure was good but I can't say that it was worth what they charged me. They have big comfy massage chairs that have tray tables and phone chargers attached. The lady that did my pedicure seemed to be annoyed at first but she warmed up as time went on. They use a lavender scrub and soak which was nice aromatherapy. From start to finish my pedicure was done in about 25 minutes. This pedicure was no different than the one I get at a "regular" salon and pay almost $30 less. But I guess all of the bells and whistles comes at a big price. The salon is in a very busy ShopRite plaza which can be a pain for parking. They accept all major credit cards and cash. I'd say this place is good for a "me time, me day" type of thing. Would I recommend being a regular customer here? No. read more

Liked this place for its cleanliness and used to go regularly even though it was a bit far. Lately, I've had to wait (inspite of calling ahead and getting an appointment) and once was so long that I had to leave as I had something else to get to. The massage is short and for over 45$ for a regular pedicure, I don't think it's worth it now. read more

We walked inside for our appointment maybe 5 mins before time and the owner was standing behind the nail techs, with her side to us, facing the wall looking at a book, never acknowledged us until two of her employees said can I help u and got her attention. After speaking with her employee she never approached us, she only turned her head and looked at us as if "what do you want?" We informed her that we have an appointment. She said for what? After telling her what we were there for she turned back around and continued to read her book, the nail tech came over and asked us to pick out our colors. While sitting there getting serviced someone walked in but I couldn't see the person just the happy expression on the owner's face who put her book down, turned and walked to the reception desk and escorted a Caucasian woman past me, putting her hand on the woman's back guiding her to her seat. Being an avid customer, I expected a better greeting and more welcoming demeanor as shown to the Caucasian lady. I recently moved to the area and sadly cannot make it to my old nail salon with work and errands on weekends. To Yelp I went to find a new nail salon. This salon was a easy choice; good hours, convenient location (next to ShopRite east peasy) and open Sundays. The first 2 gel manicures I had were with Susan she was attentive and friendly and advised me that I needed some hardener for my nails as my last place was apparently too rough with my natural nails. I enjoyed her color recommendation (extra 5$ for sparkly polish) and overall was satisfied. The manicures were a bit thick but i chalked it up to the extra hardener she used. My nails lasted almost 4 FOUR WEEKS!!! My 3rd gel manicure was with another manicurist (I cannot recall her name), I wasn't overly impressed but am determined to find my person (Susan wasn't there the day I needed. Kim was my all time best. I was so happy with the removal and the polish was just like my natural nails. Lasted a solid 2 weeks until my index finger was overused while cleaning and started chipping. Called on a Sunday to make An appointment with Kim for Monday and when I arrived she was double booked. Mistakes happen, James took me. He did a good job. I was pleased. Let's see how it lasts. Prices are a bit higher than it used to but it's convenient. I'm hoping to find my niche there I had one pedicure here and wasn't overly impressed. I'll be retuning to my old place for that. The first staffer was pretty lethargic, he didn't give much guidance and seemed to barely speak English. The second was better, she was the manager and her work on the kid's nails was efficient and good. The other two, mixed. One left a bunch of bubbles in the polish which ended up wearing off that day (even though we were charged $5for longer lasting) and the other was ok, but uneven. They were full up on the weekend, make sure you do appointments and cash gets a bigger customer reward of 6% vs credit card at 3%. read more

I am new to the area and needed to find a new nail place. I got a pedicure yesterday and although the salon was very clean and reasonably priced, I left with 2 bleeding toes. I told the women doing my nails twice to go easier and she didn't and now I have a very sore, slightly infected toe. I also told her not to massage my legs because I'm pregnant and have been told to not get any massages and she proceeded to massage my legs and feet anyway. I would be willing to try again with a different person but it's never acceptable to leave with bleeding cuticles. read more

I'm not sure what the pricing currently is common for getting a full set done so can't compare it with anything I've paid. Is $140 worth it for two-three weeks of having pretty nails? I made an appointment for a pedicure with an additional 10 minute foot and leg massage. I was impressed as soon as I arrived- I had to be let in the door, my temperature was taken and I had to fill out a Covid form. The pedicure chairs are super comfortable and had plexiglass on both sides as well as in front, protecting you from all angles. The woman who did my nails (Victoria) did such an amazing job! I am 37 weeks pregnant and her foot massage was incredible! My toes were painted perfectly and I feel like a new woman. First of all the salon is beautiful and very clean. I've been there 3 times for a gel fill in and they did an amazing job. The time it took to complete the fill ins took at least an hour and forty-five minutes. I was just ok with that but this time when I went the price was different than before, $17. higher. Don't waste your money here. While the pedicure was half-decent, the manicure (which costed me a total of $24 for a regular polish manicure) was not worth a single cent. I went in Wednesday and I paid for the extra-long lasting polish. I paid $5 extra, which I was fine with, but two of my nails already chipped by Wednesday afternoon. I was so upset because I had a wedding the next day and had to touch them up myself with a color that wasn't quite the same. I asked for a design, which costed $5 more. The "design" I received was one single line down my index finger. Not worth five dollars more. It's now Sunday and I've removed the manicure completely because it's so badly chipped. But that's not the worst part. My technician didn't use a base coat. So after three attempts at removing the color, my nails are tinted navy blue and I can't figure out how to get them looking normal again. For such an expensive nail salon, I truly expected better. The quality of service has gradually declined since the pandemic, while the prices have been increased since and at least twice. Just recently most of the chairs, cabinets and tables were replaced anew, although what they had looked almost new and simultaneously the prices jumped! As an example, a Gel fill is $66 and a regular pedicure is $40! No longer are massages provided as were once at the drying table. The pedicures don't include a scrub, barely any callous removal, no foot and no leg massage like in the past, etc. It's all turned into how quickly can we cash in on the charge while they no longer invest in the customer. To make matters worse some of the finished product has gotten very sloppy while trying to get the customer in and out quickly. It's no longer a relaxing and calm environment. In the end, poor work at much a higher price. Hopefully this business learns quickly that greed never ends well. That said, if they wake up quickly they will be able to salvage the business long term and hopefully so. read more

I am a newcomer to this area. I have tried at least 8 nail salons in Livingston, Montclair, Millburn and Maplewood. Each of them felt unkempt, run down and dirty. Customer attentiveness, skilled manicurists and professional touches have been absent. With lowered expectations, I have been to Nailsplash 3 times now. Yes, it is a clean salon ( shouldn't that be a given?). Not impressed with a recent pedicure. $40 for what is an O-K job. Polish overlapping cuticles. Irregularly cut cuticles. Gel manicure- was fine. Felt rushed. But, again, for $50, I expect more than just okay. My cuticles are raggedy after a few days and the nail shapes are uneven and crooked. A regular manicure was at an acceptable level. I am accustomed to things like manicurists applying oil to my pedicure before I leave, helping put shoes on, assisting with discarding the disposable sandals, asking if I would like to use the massage feature on the pedicure chair. After I paid and sat to dry my pedicure, I was completely ignored. During my pedicure, two manicurists sitting side by side were carrying on a conversation as thought the customer was invisible. I might still go here for a regular manicure. I am not a fussy customer. I tip over the minimum and respect hard working people. The owners of this salon would do well to pay more attention to the finer points of service and customer care and raise their standards to meet their prices. read more

Just got a pedicure and manicure here. The manicurist cut my cuticles so deep, my finger is bleeding even 15 mins after the manicure is done. The pedicure was also pretty average. I asked the lady to put some pressure while she was massaging me as I could barely feel her hands and she didn't. Very disappointed. This place is aweeee-someeeeee! I looked up nail salons on yelp because I wanted to treat myself to a pedicure. It was between this and a competing spa in Livingston. Tbh, I chose this one because of the reviews and the "check in" deal they have. I called before I came and the person on the phone was very nice and pleasant. I thought to myself, "this already is a good sign." Walked in and was greeted by the lovely Maria. I chose the spa pedicure which is $55 but came out to $44 with the discount. It was so worth it! From start to finish, the process took an hour. So make sure you arrive on time if you are having this service done! I especially loved the massage chair! Overall, I highly recommend this place. There are no strong smells when you first walk in, no attitudes, no judgy looks, no shouting from across the room, "what do u want?!", and no long waits. I am telling you, EXCELLENT customer service. The owner did a great job training her staff because I was impressed! Maria was very nice and courteous throughout my entire visit. I can't say enough good things about her. I was the last customer to leave (before 7 pm) and it was interesting to watch everyone pitch in to clean up. I know this is something simple, but their teamwork was amazing. As a New Yorker, I'm just not used to this. I do not go to nail salons often because I don't wear fake nails but the few times I have gone, it has been a terrible experience; with one person doing all the manual labor while others watch, the nasty attitudes and having staff rush you out the door because of closing time. But, no, this place is different. You can tell they value their customers. Guys, I'm already planning my next pedicure. I want to give this 4.5 stars. Loved how well they treat you here. Hana is the best! She took very good care of me and my nails, making sure everything is how I wanted. She is very professional and she cleaned up the dead skin around my nails without me asking. They had a wide array of pretty gel colors. The equipment and materials they use is of high quality. I gave it 4.5 instead of 5 because they're very pricey. It was $80 for a new gel set, and $50 for gel fill-in. They did respect the 20% off discount from yelp. Hana was meticulous on applying the gel nail polish because I told her that I had a bad experience where my polish was chipping the next day. I'll write an update later on how long they last. I'm hoping at least 2 months hahaha because Hana reeeaally layered it on. We shall see.. UPDATE: after two days my nail polish started chipping.. read more

WORST massage of my life. I got a 20 min back massage while my friend was getting an acrylic fill in (which was way overpriced and horrible quality). my back is in severe pain that has lasted 3 days. the guy dug his elbow into my back and was legit painful. I trusted the process but I was only left with a throbbing spine and barely able to walk without suffering. I wasn't expecting the greatest massage but that was just plain dangerous. THIS PLACE IS OVERPRICED and INCAPABLE OF BASIC NAIL SERVICES. also, parking was a complete nightmare on the weekend. it took me 20 min to get a spot anywhere close.
