I am very saddened to be writing this review since I am not a fan of leaving negative reviews but the quality of service I have just received justifies it. I occasionally stop here for basic manicures here and there and decided today to stop with my daughter to treat us. We asked if there was availability for walk ins today for 2 gel pedicures and gel manicures and were told there was. The pedicure was phenomenal however towards the end of it, a nail tech named sky came over and yanked my hand and asked if I was getting gel. Before the girl could even finish getting the flip flops on my feet, she said "let's go" and yanked my items from the floor. The entire manicure felt rushed; the nail shaping was sloppy and she was quite aggressive with it. It became apparent that she was indeed rushing bc her scheduled client had come in and she was trying to finish as quickly as she could. I completely understand the need to finish quickly however in the process the manicure I received was not good, I already have 3 nails lifting at the end (I have never had this happen) and it hasn't even been a full day later. I was confused why my manicure was rushed with her when I saw multiple other workers sitting on their phones and I could have gotten a proper manicure. I would have much preferred to have been told there was no time for us then the quality of work we had received, since my daughter is also having the same issues with her manicure. I would suggest taking the time to give each customer the correct treatment or being honest and saying there's no time because this is how you lose business. I am still very upset because I always want to support a local business but after today do not think I will be returning here. read more

The worst nail salon experience I have ever had. 1. They charged $30 for a gel extension soak off. BUT DID NOT EVEN SOAK IT OFF. 2. The lady drilled my nails ALL THE WAY THROUGH. She burnt it continuously and to one point I had to pull my nail away. 3. My nails were left so thin and weak on the nails beds but the tip STILL HAD GEL X ON IT. 4. The lady Joanne said she would not soak it off cause I'm not getting a manicure. I don't mind paying for a service even though I thought it was over priced and the menu said 15 for gel soak off and $20 for the gel powder soak off. The lady said my gel extension removal was $30 because it had acrylic and I explained to her THERE IS NO ACRYLIC. Gel extension is PURELY GEL. Nonetheless, this was an awful experience. Sorry to say, the gel removal was a rushed hack job. It took the manicurist all of 2-3 minutes with the drill to sand off the polish. $15. No soaking. I asked her to groom my cuticles, she told me they were dry and ignored my request. No cleaning under the nails. No hand washing. My nails are now peeling and they are warped. Then, the manicure I got with the $5 extra long lasting polish lasted less than 7 days. In all $40 plus a tip for a less than 15 minute experience to get my nails done. I don't know why the owners and managers are allowing this kind of negligent service. From what I've experienced in Essex county, the art and skill of a good manicure is not to be found. First time (1) I have cried out of pain and (2) had my nail beds bleed at a nail studio. And I have been getting my nails done for 10+ years. The woman that did my nails ("Sunny") kept filing angrily over my nail beds and the skin of my fingers, even though I told her 4 times that "it really really hurts." In response, she kept mumbling to herself the entire time and was clearly distracted, thinking about something else, and taking her anger out on me. Not only was she rude and causing me pain, it also took her 3 hours to do a dip manicure, only for me to see that it was completely messed up when she was "done." The owner was astonished herself at how bad the work was, came over and apologized to me. At that point, my nail beds and fingers were bleeding again so I ran over to the bathroom crying. The owner followed me saying she will have someone else fix my manicure and she is really sorry. Then, after 3 hours, she told Sunny to go away and sat me down with another woman, who then had to immediately soak off and take off the dip Sunny did, and start over. You can imagine how much that hurt with a few of my nail beds still bleeding and now having to be soaked in acetone. Not to mention that out of nowhere while I was sitting with the new woman, Sunny came and kept touching me and trying to hug me, which made me really uncomfortable. I wanted her to stop touching me and go away after causing me pain and doing so much damage that my nail beds bled for the first time ever in a nail salon. Look at my Google review for pictures. And to sit at their salon for 4+ hours with bleeding cuticles cost me $75. read more

so. i really really really want to give them 5 stars for their kindness and hospitality but i really just don't think i can go back. when it comes to the quality of the nails it's beyond poor. i got my nails done on wednesday around 12pm (THERE WAS ALSO NO ONE THERE- no rush, no customers, just us and three other workers and the manager so i was able to walk in without making an appointment) but by the next day thursday 10am it was peeling on half of my nails. they were apologetic and fixed it up for me that day (as there was no one there) but it just became really thick and did not look as neat. by saturday it once again started to peel but i was away so i couldn't go in so as soon as i got back on tuesday 4pm, i showed them and they were as shocked and upset as i was and offered to redo it but since i have work all week i just asked for a refund- although they couldn't do a full refund they did give me back $30 as this nail was $47 plus $10 tip. Mariana did my nails and although it did come out really pretty, the nails didn't come out even, it hurt a LOT when she cut my cuticles, barely any massage was done, and this all took about 30 minutes which just shows she didn't take as much time as she should have. Gel mani is usually $37 but i guess the glitter gradient is part of the "nail art" so there was an additional $10 up charge so total i paid almost $60 for gel nails that didn't last even a day (my nails normally hold gel for MONTHS). i really do wish this place the best as they do care about the quality of the nails that they provide but i personally won't be going back :( read more

This place is great, big, spacious and clean and my gel manicure lasted 3.5 weeks (no chips just outgrew). Definitely will be my new go to place. No one likes to feel ripped off when they leave a nail salon. My mother and I went for manicure pedicures. She got nibbed a couple of times but she survived. It all came out to around 94 dollars. She said there was a fee to use a credit card. It was 7 dollars. I guess that is legal, not nice but still legal. There was one transaction so I don't understand why there were 2 processing fees. read more

I was looking forward to trying this place out as it's under new ownership. I regret it. After 40 minutes of sitting in the chair to get my nails done, my friend and I were asked to put a mask on. That makes no sense. Ok - I can get passed that craziness, but my nails were done as if my 8 year old did it and she would probably do a better job. I asked the girl to redo it the first time so she wiped it and did it over. It was so bad still that even the tech doing my friends nails tried to help after the fact to fix it but she could see there was no hope. I paid $40 for the horrible manicure and complained. The owner then said ok sit down we can try to fix it. It was over an hour already for a simple gel manicure and I could not sit for another hour. I have been going here for years and am very upset with owner. Aside from the fact that he continues to try and upsell after declining, he is short staffed (has help wanted sign on door) and hired either people who aren't manicurists or extremely bad manicurists to fill spots. My manicure tonight was the WORST I ever had. The woman made my nails overly square, didn't put base and top coat in corners of nails, didn't paint anywhere close to the base of the nail and the line was squiggly. She was shaking when she was painting. I spoke with the new owner who seemed to realize she wasn't good bc he took out my money from the register to give back to me before I even started talking. What upsets me is what about an apology or offering to fix it in the morning? He didn't care at all about customer satisfaction or wasting my time. I told him I'm never going back. I got a basic manicure and asked for a flower on my ring finger. My nails look uneven and the top coat was done so messily that it doesn't even cover the whole nail. She did the flowers so quickly that they barely look like anything but two small dots. It's 5 dollars extra for designs and for two little dots and I am very upset. The staff were not extremely rude, but not very nice either. Overall, the quality of the manicure I got here was very poor and I will not be coming back. read more

I am disappointed. I came here for the first time last week, prior to a weekend trip to get a gel manicure. While I was on vacation, however, not even two full days after I had gotten my gel manicure done, it began to peel off right near where the cuticles are. I thought the finger was a fluke an figured I could get it fixed when I returned. Within a few days, all the fingers were peeling. I went to the salon and explained what had occurred. They made an appointment with me for the next morning. Fast forward to now and not only did they expect me to pay $20 to fix the $40 gel manicure that was peeling after a single week, they also told me that it could be that my nails may be the type "that produce too much oil" and that if I had called them or come in after the peeling had started, they could have redone then for me. I explained to them that I was on vacation and they told me that this was why I was getting charged. Needless to say, I was pretty miffed. They get one star because the initial experience was nice but expecting me to pay extra to get a shoddy manicure that was supposed to last 2-3 weeks redone is beyond ludicrous. I visited the salon to get a fill-in with gel polish. The salon does not offer acrylic services so it was done with UV gel. The nail technician took her time completing my nails and gave attention to details which was appreciated. Immediately when I got home from the salon the corner of my nail polish chipped. I then began to analyze my nails and realized the gel was still smudgy feeling. I went back the next day and the guy at the desk was very apologetic and kind about the situation and had a different tech do my gel over with a different brand that they recommended was better. It has been 7 days since the new color was added and my nails are chipped again which has been slowly chipping since about 3 days after they were polished over. It's unfortunate that I had to return to the salon the next day to get my nails repainted just for them to chip extremely fast again. For the price, the quality is not the best. When she went to pay the price he told her on the phone he kept telling her the price was higher despite the fact that he told her otherwise on the phone. I barely had time to look at the color choices before the technician wanted to start on my nails. I normally don't expect a regular manicure to last very long but I was unpleasantly surprised to find my manicure peeling pretty significantly within a day of getting it, and almost completely gone by day two. I got a mani pedi on Sunday, and was pleased but not thrilled with the pedicure, nothing special and after a year of no pedicures I thought it would have been a bit better. The manicure was worse. My cuticles weren't done well, no soaking in water prior to cutting them, or even washing my hands after the oil. My manicurist also almost didn't even put a clear top coat I had to ask which she looked surprised at, at which point she didn't use a correct top coat, stopping half way through and walking away to ask someone about the one she was using, and there were then dent marks in the polish by the end of the day. My nails have been peeling since the next morning. Not very happy with my experience. read more
