So I pretended to go along with her suggestion and got in my car and left. The business has apparently gone downhill to the point that she has resorted to these strongarm tactics, which are nothing short of traumatizing.

It hurt worse than any Brazilian wax I have had. Obviously, that depends on pain tolerance. The girl who waxed me was not the owner (probably mid 20s). She told me to do all the normal positions and it seemed like she was doing a good job. I specifically asked if she got a spot (it occasionally gets missed) and before I even finished asking she interrupted and said yes. When I was done, and my knees were still open on the table (exposing me to the lobby), she opened the door yelled "done!" At me and left the room. There was still sugar stuck to me. This place was recommended to me by a dear friend and I'm so happy she did. I have NEVER gone back to hot wax and never will. First its way more sanitary. they are not using the same hot wax that has been sitting in that heat all day that has been dipped into over and over. Also it does not burn your skin so if your like me and your sensitive, it works. It takes about 20 min and best part, its way cheaper than that hot wax crap (about average $45 for Brazilian depending) and way less painful that's for sure. I have since then recommend several people all who swear by this place and go faithfully every few weeks. The owner is definitely accommodating. I call or text her and she makes my appointments no problem. If I am late she tries and works with me. I love her. She is the sweetest. If your someone that does the hot wax thing, give this process a try. I absolutely will not Hot wax ever. Sugaring is the best in my opinion.

I got my first set of acrylic tips and nails a few weeks ago. I went this past Sunday to get a fill in and there are apparently only a couple of techs in this salon do acrylic nails. The girl that did my nails was not the person that normally does my gel manicures. The manager/owner assured me that this nail tech was very good. When I sat down I told her that I did not want gel on top of my acrylic because I noticed she had a bottle of gel nail color and she said OK. Then she told me it was going to be $70 for a fill-in and I almost fell out of my chair. I've never paid more than $30-$40 tops. I asked her again are you sure you charge $70 for a regular acrylic nail fill and she said yes. I didn't want to cause a scene so I just sat there and let her do my nails at a premium which is ridiculous. Plus she put gel on my nails after I specifically told her I did not want it. She had quite an attitude with me as well. I really should have requested a refund or gotten up and left but I didn't. So after almost a year of having pleasant experiences I will no longer go to this salon. To have been charged that amount of money for a simple fill in is ludicrous and they should understand that there are nail salons pretty much on every corner that people can choose to go to. Immediate Pain & Acknowledgment: Immediately after the wax removal, I informed the esthetician, Treasure, that the areas above and between my eyebrows were extremely painful. Negligent Aftercare: I questioned whether a proper post-wax cleanser (such as rubbing alcohol) had been used. Treasure confirmed that "No" such cleanser was applied. I was only advised to use a generic ointment and Vitamin E oil. Upon returning home, the painful area above and between my eyebrows became severely red and inflamed. I subsequently confirmed that the skin in these blotches-on both sides above the brow and between the brows-had been physically lifted and removed (skin abrasion/burn). Current State of Injury: The damaged area has progressed from red to pink and is now a noticeable brown/hyperpigmented color. Permanent Damage: The injury to the skin, particularly above the left eyebrow, remains visible even after two professional consultations, indicating permanent damage and a high risk of long-term scarring. Personal and Professional Impact: I have been forced to stay indoors and rigorously avoid all sun exposure to prevent further hyperpigmentation. This has caused significant personal and professional inconvenience, including the cancellation of scheduled appointments. Initial In-Person Follow-Up: I returned to the salon to show the extent of the damage. I spoke with an employee named Emily, who confirmed the owner / manager was unavailable. There is a reception/waiting areas after the door of suite and two rooms (for Ms. Jen and Anna) for services. The room is super clean and bright. They use vegan hypoallergenic wax called Mermaid. That wax has no smell and really gentle to skin. It doesn't hurt at all. They sell the products, such as serum and body soap at the counter. I've purchased package for all my 5 services, which is a really good deal. I highly recommend this studio for anybody who's looking for a high quality and great wax services
