I love the way they apply color and re-shape my eyebrows! The ladies are pleasant And the price is pretty reasonable for the services. I would recommend them to friends and family. read more

I came yesterday for a clean up and told the lady I am growing them out and just wanted it shaped up. She almost took all the hair off, all the progress i made gone. I will never be back to this place. My brows haven't been this thin since 2023. I didn't realize the damage until i washed my face and seen how sparse they look which i am not used to. My eyes were still adjusting after she did it in the salon so i realized this later that night. I am so ANGRY! read more

Sona is the best! Been a regular for years and have never went any other place. You can't beat the price and the staff are all sweethearts. I recommend coming on non busy days / hours to get in or out otherwise be prepared to wait. But despite the wait it is always worth it! Hair grows back weeks later and I get so many compliments on my brows EVERY TIME. Parking can be a hassle but I park in the neighboring streets and walk over, again come on non busy days / hours. read more

Arc Beauty Salon should be a part of everyone's beauty routine. The staff is always welcoming, the space and rooms are clean and the women do a great job. I highly recommend Neha. She is my go-to and makes my experience wonderful each and every time. read more

Small and clean, ARC offers face (ex. eyebrow, lip) and body services (ex. underarms, bikini). Technicians use soft wax, hard wax and threading. No other services, just waxing and threading. I only do face, and after years of "doing it myself," mostly pandemic related, I chose full face with neck. (I don't do any body services, so you'll either figure if they can do face, they can do body, or look for a review focuing on those services.) Prices are very reasonable. they actually would have been reasonable pre-pandemic: $8 for eyebrow, $4 for lip. Full face with neck is $35. Some places, some more spa like, charge $18 for just the eyebrow. Using wax and threading, I received first-rate services. Angela knew what she was doing. Clean, cheap and fast! Definitely worth a visit! read more

I still come here to get my eyebrows threaded and they are still the best. I usually go to Neha or the woman in the first chair when you walk up the step. Both are wonderful ladies. read more

I've been getting eyebrows done here for years now, some of the staff are nice and some are extremely rude and unprofessional. The prices are good though. read more

This is my first time ever getting my eyebrows done. The process was very quick, efficient, and easy. I've heard that threaten hurts, and although there was pain, Sona made it minimal since she was so quick. I was in and out for threading and a tint within 20 minutes. Sona was kind for the entire visit, the only thing is once I sat down the chair she didn't ask me what I wanted and just started. Not sure if this is standard or maybe it's up to me to speak up but overall great experience if I were to decide to do it again, I would come here, I'm just not sure if this is for me (I have to let the brows marinate and see if I actually like it lol) read more

I've been going here for over 7 years. Hands down the best eyebrow threading I have ever heard of or seen or had and it's only $8. I never breakout post threading and I'm only read for a few hours but that's because I have sensitive skin. The women who work here are so gentle and understanding! Love it here read more

I was a walk in for eyebrow wax on a busy Friday Memorial Day weekend afternoon and waited about 30 mins. I'd definitely say to make an appointment if u are going during a busy time but the ladies were so nice and worked to get me in the chair as quickly as they could. I was just happy to finally find a wax place for eyebrows at a reasonable price, it's like they don't exist anymore but Arc was fantastic and highly recommend read more

I love how my eyebrows turn out when Mona does them she's my go to but I need to say I've stopped getting appointment reminders which is the only thing I wish was still there cause I'm a forgetful person and might double book with the same or a different person not knowing I already had an appointment for that with somebody else . read more

It's a local chain and so0o glad there's a few of them near me! I prefer soft wax than hard wax any day & this is THE PLACE with affordable prices. Great early hours are the best time period as this part of Montclair on Bloomfield Ave where parking can be very challenging during peak hours. They open at 9am and close at 7pm. If you're lucky during the AM you can park easily in front of the store front, if it's busy there's a few lots in the direction behind. Their check in system registers your phone number & sets you up for a 20% referral discount! Don't mind the wait time the system states because it's not accurate, for me it said a 40 minute wait but all it was is 5 minutes! I mean it doesn't take long at all for much of their services. They are all very kind and do their work with a smile! I love coming here :) read more

Great service , quick and efficient. The price was so low icompared to salons in my area, but the services are top notch. I love the eyebrow threading and Brazilian was fast, virtually pain free for swimsuit season. If I lived or visited the area more often I would go regularly. read more

I've actually been going to arc beauty salon occasionally since 2018 to get my eyebrows threaded for special occasions. Every time I get my eyebrows threaded they come out great. I also occasionally get my eyebrows tinted as well and they always look good too. I love the fact that threading or waxing your eyebrows only costs eight dollars. I've noticed other businesses are charging ten dollars and up. They also have a loyalty and referral program. After ten visits you get a free eyebrow threading/ waxing. When you provide your name and number for the loyalty program the system keeps track of you and it allows the beauticians to refer to you in a more personable way. Upon entering you can just enter your info on the ipad, select your service and select a particular beautician if you have a preference. There is also someone at the front desk to help if you're not tech saavy. The ipad lets you know your wait time as well. I recommend coming on a weekday around early afternoon so that you're in and out quicker. Overall, I think all their prices are pretty reasonable compared to other places, especially being located in Montclair.. Only downside Is the street parking. read more

Came here with my folk as they wanted to get their eyebrows done. Place was clean, staff were very friendly and the price was good. You get a coupon for a percentage off of $40 worth of service when you check in via Yelp and some other discounts were available too. My folk eyebrows came out very nice!!! read more

This place is hit or miss. Once you find a lady that does your brows the way you like it, you'll be fine. I don't remember who I went to the first time but they did great. Went the next time and it's ok. I didn't have time to search for a picture to show the lady how to do my brows. I would go again but I'll make sure I have a picture to show what results I'm looking for. The first time I went I didn't need to touch up my brows. This last time it's giving natural thick brow like she just took of a little hair off. I will need to draw a pointed end on my brow since she didn't shape it. read more

Transphobic salon - will not service trans people. I accompanied my partner (they/them)- who was scheduled for a full arm and lower leg. I used my phone number for the appointment so I think they thought this was for me (she/her). The beauty technician came out calling my name and made an obvious face of repulsion at my partner sitting next to me. My partner is clearly trans (perfectly manicured glitter nails, pearl jewelry, feminine clothing, makeup and a pink beard). The tech blurted out- "we don't do men's legs- only upper body." This isn't posted anywhere in the shop. I asked- "does that mean you don't service trans people too? They're not a man." The tech just shook her head. I asked "just to be clear- you don't service trans people, right?" And she just said- "not the legs". The very sweet woman at the desk asked what was going on and I reiterated "can you confirm your salon doesn't provide service to trans people?" And she said "of course we do" and connected with the tech. But she came back and said "I'm sorry I don't agree with this but she won't do it". Now at this point we certainly don't want a transphobic person doing something so intimate as a leg wax. That's not good for anybody. But it still really hurts for someone to treat you with such revulsion. We went up the street to the very friendly Waxing the City. Rainbow community be warned- this is not an LGBTQ friendly place. Spend a few more dollars somewhere else. read more

Lost all of pictures but Mona did a great job on my eyebrows and underarm wax! True to her appointment time. Only $7 for the eyebrow threading and $10 for underarm wax (soft wax with strips used). Loved the covid friendliness of the shop with dividers btw each station, mask on, and sanitizer available. Only downside is finding parking since it's all street parking with a lot of venues nearby in competition for parking. Don't park in the lot next to the shop, it's not for Arc Beauty :) read more

Today was my first time at this Salon. I had read the reviews and I drove from Newark to see what this place was all about, It was clean and the people there were friendly. I parked across the street at the train station ($2.90 for an hour). I walked across the street and I was in and out within 20 mins. I wanted to get waxed, put PUJA said threading would be better until my eyebrows become thicker. I got my eyebrows threaded and my lip waxed. The total cost was $12!!! Well worth the gas and tolls. read more

Your response only ensures that your establishment isn't the type of place I will return to or recommend. If my card wasn't held then why call and remind me I left it? And to attempt to issue me a new card and not honor my previous visits is a joke. Why bother..... Thank you But no thank you. You may as well get rid of the reward card. Life happens, stuff happens people get busy but try to stay updated with making themselves look and feel good. To not honor a card is ridiculous. Everything is so super expensive these days so to even work towards somewhat of a discount is in the plan but again crap happens. Keep your rewards and business because I WILL NOT BE RETURNING. And don't make it seem like you automatically gave me my refund for the gift card I purchased. I paid in cash and you wanted me to wait a few days for the refund. It wasn't until I demanded my CASH refund in which I paid cash to purchase. So stop the madness!!!!!!! read more

I came in early on saturday and got an appointment right away. My only issue was the girl that started threading my brows didnt ask me what i wanted done, i normally prefer to keep my eyecbrows kind of thick to grow them out but she went straight in and started threading. She was also talking and laughing in the middle of threading, which i normally wouldnt care about but now my eye brows are too thin for my liking and uneven. Will post pic within the next 72 hours when i feel like looking at myself. read more

Love it! There before, throughout and after COVID. Super attentive to detail - thank you! Shout out to Sonia & Neha!

I just tried this place for the first time, I was able to get an appointment very quickly, when I arrived the check in process was simple, everyone has their own designated area, the waxers wore masks the entire time and it was very clean. I was seen on time I was able to get received my treatments with Mona, who is very popular. She was fantastic, very friendly, helpful and kind, making the experience a wonderful one. Thank you Mona!! Note - if you're use to getting your eyebrows threaded, they now tie the string around the back of necks for support which is much safer, especially during a pandemic. read more

I must've visited on a miss day, my experience was not a hit. The ability to make an appointment was easy and the receptionist was pleasant. The woman who did my eyebrows was aggressive and overly confident. She did not listen to what I requested and tried to convince me my eyebrows looked good....even better than when I arrived. Thank God for an Anastasia brow pencil. read more

I came on a very crowded Saturday morning. I found the front desk lady very neutral. She was not friendly, but not super off putting either. I was not greeted promptly upon entering, which would've been nice. She only spoke to me after I approached the desk to inquire about eyebrow threading. I was instructed to sign in at the kiosk. The queue on the kiosk indicated that I would have to wait about 25 minutes. It was very crowded inside so that seemed reasonable. However, I was called about 3 minutes after waiting, probably because I selected that I would take the next person available. Since, this was my first time I had no preference on technicians. The woman I got did a good job but she left a few straggling hairs at the end of each eyebrow. After showing me my face, I asked her to remove them. She went back and threaded more. After she was done she just applied aloe and sent me on my way. Not showing me the mirror again. After I was able to check again I could see that she didn't get all of the hairs I specifically asked her too. She was just rushing me out to service the next customers. So I didn't like that. But overall she did a good job on my brows. And I am picky about my brows. While I wasn't 100% satisfied with my service, I would recommend this business. Also, the $8 price can't be beat. read more

Went for a Brazilian, got Neha, was impressed by her speed (it took less than 10 minutes, at European wax center it's like 25+ mins bc they check their work) only to find out that she barely did anything. Her technique is horrible, she just rips your hair out (you can still feel the stubble after you're done) and the next day it's like you never even went for a wax. If you go here do not ask for Neha. read more

I got a Brazilian for the first time Monday, and I couldn't ask for a better experience! I was nervous and worry about being judged, but I had nothing too worry about. I didn't get her name, but the Indian lady was very friendly, comforting, as well as helpful! The price is very affordable as well. Will definitely be my waxing spot! I'm also planning on getting my eyebrows threaded there as well! A very non judgmental and supportive environment! 10/10 would recommend! read more

I moved to NJ from NYC about a year ago & I'd usually still make the trip to go see my eyebrow lady back home. With everything going on with COVID, I figured it was time to finally find someone in NJ! I went to see Mona for a Brazilian & eyebrow threading based on all her positive reviews! Everything said about Mona was true. She did a great job with my eyebrows & made me feel very comfortable during my waxing session! I was so distracted by our conversation that it felt like the fastest & most pain free wax I've ever gotten. I'll definitely be seeing Mona again! read more

Easy to schedule and quick, wonderful service. Check in on the iPad was straight forward and payment was easy.

There is so much to love about this establishment. Everything is really neat and clean and the staff is extremely friendly. Poojah or Pujaa( not sure which is the correct spelling of her name) is 100% the only person that I have ever been so comfortable with. She is amazing at what she does and really takes her time at making you comfortable and talking you through the process. Having a Brazilian can be an uncomfortable experience, but with her its quick and easy. Not only does she do an amazing Brazilian, but she does an excellent threaded eyebrow. My arch is always perfect when I leave the salon. In addition to the great services, I do enjoy that they offer specials every so often. I have recommended this place to a few people and they have become loyal customers. As long as I am living in this area, Arc is going to be the only play that will be doing my eyebrows and my Brazilian. read more

I'm sad to say that I didn't have the experience many other reviewers did. I said numerous times that I wanted a pointed arch, even as she asked me halfway through it the shape was okay, but was given rounded brows. I asked for a trim, one small portion in the middle of one eyebrow was trimmed so short that it looked patchy. The tail of my brow, which is normally thin, was left bushy. Mind you, this is all after I showed a zoomed in photo of my eyebrow a few months ago, exactly the shape/thinness it should be. I was so afraid to have her touch anything else that I said it was fine and I left. Edit: I didn't want to post the woman's name, but since this is the second time I've been asked to do so--I went to Mona on August 22. My last name starts with an F, not a D. It's not a fake review. read more

STAY AWAY FROM KENA! I always fill in my eyebrows prior to threading sessions and request the threader to not make it thin and thread around the penciled shape. I even exaggerate it w the pencil so it's clear. For 20 years, regardless of the location, everyone's got it right, except for Kena! She made my eyebrows so thin there's nothing to fill in anymore. Looks like the brows trending from the early 90s- thin and same size throughout. No shape. Kena completely disregarded my request and the penciled in areas. It will take years for me to even attempt to grow this back and who knows if it will grow back the same. I know you can request to see specific people, but make sure you specifically request NOT to see Kena! read more

Got eyebrows and Brazilian wax with Mona and she was so gentle with it. I highly recommend booking her!!

BEWARE! DOUBLE DIP! Today was my first time trying out Arc beauty salon . I went for an eyebrow threading and lip wax. While waiting for my service I witnessed both technicians double dipping their wax stick . They would wax someone's face and lay it on the top of the wax melter and dip it right back in . I am a cosmetologist and this is extremely unsanitary. This spreads disease and infection. I opted not to do my lip wax after witnessing this . If you wax here please look out for this because it is very dangerous to your health. Once you double dip a stick the wax is fully contaminated. Please do yourself a favor and just use the threading services offered. read more

Donna did an amazing job on my henna for my birthday. I am so happy with her work. Both hands took an hour and 15 minutes. I made an appointment in advance because she doesn't work every day. I also get waxed at arc and they have many different kinds of wax. The hard wax lasts the longest. Patricia is absolutely amazing. She makes waxing fun. My wax lasts 5 weeks. I use the hard wax. Update: by the end of the day the dark henna peals Off and it turns orange. If you have dark skin the henna will appear. the henna lasted 3 days, (Donna estimated a week) that doesn't bother me because I just wanted it for my birthday and the weekend. The henna did make me break out so if you have sensitive skin just know that can happen. read more

This salon is everything I've ever hoped for. I tried this place out because the reviews are great & I'm SO glad I did. The lady that threaded my brows did an incredible job! She was friendly, professional, quick & she did exactly what I asked her to do!! Normally I am very uncomfortable during the threading process, but my experience here was painless! Yes, they're THAT good! And to top things off- they only charge $7! The salon is in the downtown area of Montclair- just steps away from the Lackawanna station. There's a small parking lot with two reserved spots for Arc customers. There's also metered parking on the street. I am 100% pleased with this salon & I look forward to returning in the future. read more
