I'm giving one star because The Wax Den (owner) seems to be all about his or her money and lack customer satisfaction skills. WARNING: Everything you do has a fee that goes with it. Example, canceling your membership and or appointment due to uncertain circumstances, rescheduling, pushy selling of merchandise. Also, they DO NOT offer any REFUNDS. What business does this. I booked a appointment with "Soy" a month ago from today for a scheduled time being 8:35 a.m. come to find out they open at 9 a.m. I arrived after being stuck in traffic for 1.5 hours. " Not happy" That was a very poor mistake Soy and management. I was told that I can't receive a refund. I had to wait another hour to be serviced. I will not be returning to this location EVER. stop being all about your money and think about where your business comes from. I was a first timer getting waxed, let alone getting a manzilian & it was actually WAY better than I expected. I was bracing for the worst pain imaginable & it wasn't bad at all. Jae was phenomenal. I felt so comfortable in an uncomfortable situation. The place was very clean & welcoming. I easily booked my appointment online & I received a phone call later in the day to just confirm it & I was all set. Easy online booking system. Now I was also nervous about the post wax & I've been great. They recommended some great stuff to use and they have worked great. If you're a man on the fence about getting a manzilian, it's 100x better than shaving. If you're a woman who is looking for a better place to get a brazilian, I would recommend going to the Wax Den. Quite the opposite it is located in the basement of an old doctors office with such gleamy ambience. But let's not judge a book by its cover... the front desk lady is super rude. From making the appointment, being forced to last minute reschedule and trying to pay for the service. Took me longer to pay than to receive the waxing. Now for the service, my waxer although friendly and gentle had left my area with patches of hair remaining. What's good? Their online appointment is very convenient and their hours are early to late. They accept those spa gift cards you get from the supermarket. But they really need to work on their front desk help and be a little more through in the service. This is an honest review coming from a customer who was a client for European wax center and later on an employee. The Wax Den is awesome ! Thalia did my Brazilian wax and I barely felt any pain. I'm used to doing my own brazilians being that I'm also an esthetician and wax specialist but I'm unable to now that I'm pregnant lol. She couldn't have done a better job than myself. Usually, I'm sore after waxing but the wax that The Wax Den uses is very gentle and did not leave me sore or red. The wax is like a velvety smooth lotion and peels off effortlessly. I bought a Groupon here, they don't answer the phone, they text. You text to schedule an appointment and they say they'll call you to book when their store is open, for me I had to wait three days til Weds and then I called Weds morning and no answer til I texted again and then got a reply hours later. The day before the appointment I got sick so I had to cancel. I didn't get a text reply or call. I called the day of to confirm they got my cancellation phone call and text but no answer. I texted again, no reply. At this point I'm going to ask Groupon for a credit and not bother with these Just went over my old bank statements to find they fully charged me for services that were booked without ever communicating back. It's actually against federal law to charge customers for full services for canceled appointments especially when the customer cancelled in advance. Late or cancellation fees is one thing but full sessions is another. $126 is not a fee. Very rude read more

This place can seriously go to hell. I had an appointment scheduled for tomorrow at noon. I called at 12:20 - as soon as I saw that my "friend" decided to show up to cancel. I was not comfortable going under these circumstances. Whoever answered the phone (mind you I called and left several messages before noon), was extremely rude and kept repeating the policy. Well sorry hun, things happen and not everyone is okay with this. She made me feel extremely uncomfortable. She said I could still come and wear a tampon. I don't do that, so I wanted to reschedule and was advised I would be charged 50% of the price if I rescheduled and 100% if I cancelled. They can have a nice time trying to charge me as my card would be closed due to fraud last week. I hope you lose all of your business. Learn how to treat people! read more
