A friend recommended this salon to me and I finally had an opportunity to go in! It was busy on a Sunday, but I didn't mind coming back an hour later for a gel manicure. Note: you can call ahead to make an appointment. They had a ton of colors to choose from, and I ended up selecting a pink cat eye design, which is an extra $25. Jackie worked wonders with my nails! When the cat eye design was being finicky, she adjusted the look to my preference, and I am so happy with the final look! Excellent hand massage afterward. I think its fair to update this review as their pedicure services have not been what they used to be. The last time I was there with my sister and mom, they both thought the massage used to be better and I had to stop my pedicure all together. I paid for the more expensive pedicure and the woman forgot to use half the products. When she realized she added more water into the empty tub about enough to barely go over my toes. Added the salt rocks. Splashed the water on my feet and drained the water. I wish I was lying. I stopped the pedicure. That was the last time I went. read more

I did not enjoy my experience or service here on Saturday. My friend and I booked two pedicure appointments and when I checked in on Yelp there was a coupon for 15% for first time guests. The receptionist said that this could not be used. This was a little disappointing but I let it go. The color selection that they have is expansive but old. A lot of the nail polishes they have looked really old and the quality was not good. My friend was getting her nails done for her engagement and the toes polish was chunky and was not applied well. I also felt like the pedicure was subpar. Minimal heel scrubbing, or even cutting and cuticle maintenance. I didn't like that they don't use tub liners. For $40 I would expect more. The one thing I would say that was good was the foot massage. read more

Would NOT recommend for nail techs! Asked for the most basic service and yet, the technician could not do a decent job! Came in for an urgent basic spa manicure because my cuticles were peeling and bleeding from the skin rips so, needed a proper manicure. They served me immediately (host was lovely) but the actual service by the technician was the worst experience I've ever had at any salon. Barely did anything to my cuticles and even asked if I wanted them "pushed or cut". She barely did either. They should be doing both! I had to ask her and actually show her many times where exactly to trim. I gave up later. The massage/scrub part was about 10 seconds. I chose a neutral regular polish, which they charged me extra because it was "long-lasting". The application kept leaving streaks even on the third coat, so I asked the tech to do one more and she refused, blaming the streaks on the color and for me to pick a different color. I always get this similar color and never had issues like this at other salons. She then changed her response saying that another coat would crack easily--again, I've never had this experience at other places. She ultimately did the 4th coat and finally, barely any streaks. I needed one thing to go right with the service I was paying for but felt like I was now causing a scene simply trying to ask politely for her to fix something. I was desperate to get out of there! The whole experience itself warrants this review to warn anyone deserving of quality service--this place is NOT recommended! The only reason for the star is because the host was excellent with customer service. read more

Everything started off great until it was time to pay. I received a pedicure and a color change. The total came to $115, color change $50 and pedicure $65. The $65 pedicure wasn't the issue, even though the women did a horrible job, I bled, the water was boiling when she asked me to place my feet inside, but that's a story for another time, the issue was the color change. Before I sat down, I asked the nail tech for the price because I hate to be surprised at the end. She stated she needed to ask the owner but proceeded to work. I had silver gel polish and I switched to pink gel. At checkout the owner is smiling, letting me know my nails look great, and how I should have gotten a design, etc, trying to distract me from the total of $115. When I asked for the breakdown and why the price is so high, she stated the nail tech had to buff off my polish and use a machine to remove the gel, so it's more expensive. She then proceeded to say "I'm not familiar with this area, this is the usual price" insinuating I'm not used to paying this much?? for this particular color change?? The service sign on the wall states color changes are $25....Absolutely not, after going back and forth for about 10 minutes, she's decides she'll only charge for the pedicure, as if I would pay $50 for a color change. I politely tipped the wonderful nail tech, paid for the pedicure and left. read more

The staff was friendly and I did appreciate that; I didn't have cash so the owner (I'm assuming) allowed me to tip in the card as it was my first visit. However, the Yelp coupon for 15% off your first visit was no longer accepted...they should probably remove it from their page. While I was happy that I could make a same day appointment for a pedicure, I was not as impressed with this salon. All of the towels throughout the salon looked SO old and used, they really need to get new ones. The pedicure was mediocre and could have been a lot better. In terms of design for gel manicure, after a failed attempt to do a reverse nude/neutral French manicure. Which in fact was a half-moon was left feeling it could be better. For basic French and now after my last visit where the instructions were understood I can recommend it for your basic gel manicure. I live in Hoboken, NJ...that combined with the surrounding Jersey City, Union City, and Bayonne area = A LOT of nail salon options. But, I must say the more NOT the merrier. Every time I think of getting my nails done I stress because I NEVER know where to go! ={ They are either unorganized, unwelcoming, lack efficiency, talent, and more. But nonetheless I still go and never complain (even if they cut me or do a terrible job on my nails). BUT THIS PLACE HERE?! My friend invited me to try this one together. We found on street parking nearby and we loved the surrounding area (reminded me of Washington st. back home). I walked in and was very warmly greeted by Jennifer at the front desk. My temperature was taken per covid-19 procedures. The atmosphere and energy?...I instantly felt welcomed.Nail salon anxiety GONE! My friend and I were seated together, asked which essential oils we wanted in our foot soak, and continuously but not annoyingly checked up on with smiles and small conversations. This is my absolute favorite nail salon ever. EVER. I've been coming here for years and Jennifer and her staff never disappoint. They take excellent precautions in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic (temperature checks, masks, mandatory hand sanitizing, plexiglass dividers, etc). Even before the pandemic hit, the staff was meticulous about keeping the salon clean. The pedicures are TOP NOTCH. They are so thorough and relaxing. The basic ones lather your feet and legs in milk and honey. The more lavish ones are to die for. My favorite is the aloe jelly one. It's EXCELLENT. The manicures are similarly fantastic-- they always keep up to date with the newest technology. I also love getting my eyebrows done here too. I am new to the area and loved my first time at this nail salon! I called ahead for a 2pm appointment and arrived 15 minutes early because I was already walking around in the area and it was hot so I thought I would just sit until my appointment. The pedicure chairs were all filled so one of the manicurists asked if I wanted to get my Manicure done first. I said sure since I was already 15 minutes early and being served right away! My manicurist was amazing. She was diligent with shaping my nails and getting at my cuticles she was great and so patient. I had a different woman for my pedicure and she was so sweet! She chatted with me for a bit and always asked if I was relaxed. Then she even mentioned she was a perfectionist with nails and went above and beyond to perfect my toes! So sweet! New to the area and still looking for my go-to nail salon. Think I found it! I tried a few other places. Also clean. Kind service. But the attention to detail was always lacking. My pedicure and manicure today were meticulous. The massage was heavenly. And I got fancy with my gel manicure and Marisol did a stellar job. I'm really picky with my cuticles too. They trim them dry here which I think keeps them from peeling back after and turning into cuts / hang nails. The salon itself has great ambience. Relaxing French pop music was playing the entire time. Also loved that there were no TVs. I have been to Jeeyune several times now for pedicures. My boyfriend and I usually always go together and make appointments for the same time. The second to last time we went, I'd assume they over booked appointments because we sat for 30 minutes waiting for our pedicures. But instead of having us sit in a chair and wait, we were sat at the pedicure chairs with our feet in lukewarm water for 30 minutes. We overlooked it because every experience prior has always been great and sometimes things just happen. Yesterday we both arrived for our appointments on time and were seated next to each other. My tub was filled first and then his. The owner asked who would like to go first. Assuming that the other would be following shortly after we said we didn't care and my boyfriend ended up being serviced first. 25 minutes of soaking my feet in water I took them out. Another 20 minutes later his pedicure finished and the lady moved on to me. His pedicure was completely rushed, there were people seated next to us who's pedicures started before his and were still being massaged while he was already done. So now, close to 45 minutes after our appointment time my pedicure was starting. My boyfriend paid for the both of us and decided to go to the car instead of waiting inside for me. Right after he paid and left the receptionist came up to the girl doing my pedicure to let her know that he paid for the both of us. "35 right?" To which the girl said "Yes. Oh no, $38, we raised the price" the receptionist looked back at the door and mentioned he already left and then looked at me. It was so awkward so I just said I'll pay the difference. While waiting to finish, a couple sat down next to me. The owner came up to them and asked if they would mind switching seats so the female would be seated next to me and the male next to the wall because other customers (me) might feel uncomfortable being seated next to a male. I assured them I didn't care and switching seats wasn't necessary. I'm sure her intentions were in a good place making this comment but again, extremely awkward. I really wanted to continue coming here because at one time the pedicures were very good but after two bad experiences in a row I'll try someplace else. read more

Truly one of the worst manicures I ever received and it was the most expensive. I was at the saloon for 2 hours and 15 minutes and received a SNS manicure. I got the manicure on Friday night and Saturday the top coat is already coming off. There are also little spider cracks on every nail. It's like they didn't let it dry before putting the last coat on. The place was clean and the own Jennifer was super friendly. It was just complete chaos. People were waiting so long, they got up and left. For the time and money spent here, I was expecting an amazing job. It was just really bad all around :( read more

I've been here a few times and I want to love it but I've scheduled 3 couple pedicures for my partner and I and they always leave my partner waiting today he walked out. This was THE best experience I've ever had at a nail salon. Jeeyune and her team are extremely meticulous and the pull out all the stops to make their customers feel pampered. Walking in the immediately were upfront with when we would start our session. They keep a very quiet and demure atmosphere throughout the whole session. It gives a peaceful sense of serenity and relaxation. For me, as an avid cook and gym go-er, I opted for just short, filed down gel painted nails. They were extremely attentive to detail when doing my nails and extremely efficient. No sitting around for unnecessary amounts of time while letting your nails dry. At some points I urgently had to text on my phone, but they made no fuss about it, which I appreciated. My girlfriend got artificial french gel nails done and Jeeyune immediately could articulate what aesthetic she wanted, "chic, feminine and classy", and did her absolute best to pay attention to all details such as the shape, the corners, the length, the color, etc. I could absolutely tell that Jeeyune was THE boss and made sure all her staff provided the best service. They really work hard to keep all parts of the shop immaculate..from the decorations to the nail bottles. Lastly, I just really wanted to mention that they provide a complimentary hand massage with rose water and scrub. So nice!!!!!! LOVE. Would 100% entrust them to do wedding nails.
