All nail techs take their time and ensure the work is done well. My gel pedicure is well over a month old and still looks great, so I don't mind spending a little extra when it will last! The salon is small, cozy and aesthetically pleasing. They have a no cell phone policy which helps keep the vibe there peaceful and relaxing. I suggest making an appointment to cut down on wait time.

Upon first coming in, it certainly wasn't as nice or high end as many local salons I've been to but I gave it a chance based on the referral. I've had very nice SNS manicures here, a few so-so spa pedicures but last Saturdays appointment took the cake. They seem to not be able to handle too many people at one time, they are tiny, and are bad with scheduling despite the emails, and multiple text reminders they send you. My doctors office doesn't send as many as they do. Please also be aware this establishment plays religious music the entire time with an accompanying video on a loop ALL DAY. No other music is ever played. Its very odd. So the brass tacks is....at this particular appointment the nail tech was not able to match the requested SNS powder to the (gel) sample that was shown to me. Results were a muddy khaki and a toothpaste color green which they tried to fix with the cat eye overlay I requested, but the results were horrible. Due to not being able to communicate with the acting manager OR the nail tech they turned my nails into a Christmas red and green when I finally asked them out of frustration and lack of time to all to be one color. They also blamed my "skin color"...not sure what that means...and I was also told it was my fault as I "chose this color" (that was not the color I chose lol). I stayed till this was fixed I wasn't about to go three weeks with this horrible combo. My previous chrome manicure from them only lasted a few days before peeling ($68.00) and revealing the bright yellow underlay, they didn't like that I mentioned that. Apparently neither did a young customer there because she started making comments and launching in on me, as the acting manager was trying to damage control my manicure and stopped working on her. Can you believe it? The rest of the customers were silent because I don't think they could believe this young girl had a problem with me trying to get the manicure I'm paying $68.00 for. IT escalated as I wasn't about to take that from anyone. The nail tech (not the manager) apologized (she still was given a $26 tip). The acting manager apparently couldn't care I was being bullied by essentially a child here... I was there close to 4 hours for a half hearted spa pedicure and this...and after all that I had to *demand* a discount as nothing at all was offered to me as an apology. I wasn't paying for my afternoon to be ruined and to be snapped at by a stranger (her and her mommy are longtime customers I'm told-5 years more important than 6 months business). So after *all* this the owner called me the next day which was SUNDAY at 4:00pm to reiterate all the same nonsense and stick up for her salon and tell me it was again my skin colors fault and that I got too big of a discount from them. No apology, no nothing yet again-she called ME. I work in NYC and also work locally part time. I have many years customer service experience...these people have a lot to learn as we slide into a recession, them being in the service industry. Don't bother with this place. ITS cramped, it's depressing, no waiting area and when you spend $$ on a pedicure you'll also have a nice view of the open bathroom. When I arrived I had the expectancy that she was doing my nails, instead she sent me to someone which made me a little upset because I wanted to see her skills. I noticed in a lot of the one star reviews that most people had that same complaint, you go in expecting Asia and you get someone else. Fast forward, I go to Asia during the pandemic because she advertised via Instagram that she was taking clients. I arrive and she has someone in her chair so I didn't mind waiting. Sarah comes and let's me know that she would be doing my nails I was not happy about that because again my appointment was made with Asia, I didn't want to cause any problems or make Sarah uncomfortable so I let her do them while making myself uncomfortable! The entire time Sarah is doing my nails it just felt ugly like I just felt her messing my nails up, I showed her a picture of what I wanted and got the complete opposite (check pics at the bottom). My nails were bulky, wide, and crooked. I was beyond pissed. Sarah then goes to do my feet and the reults were tragic. My cuticles were left crusty looking and my nails were shaped uneven. I ended up spending $110 for nails that looked like the nail tech did them with her eyes closed. The next day my gel polish chipped on my big toe which led me to believe I didn't get actual gel polish because it's not supposed to come off that fast or easily. I went back the following day to get it fix by Sarah and asked if she could fix my ugly finger nails. When I asked her to fix my nails she looked so offended that I was critiquing her jacked up work. She filed my nails and made them worse. So again I'm aggravated, I was so aggravated to the point I sent Asia a message along with pictures to let her know I was not satisfied with my nails and she offered to fix them. I go in the next day and as she's reshaping my nails she admits that they were too wide and she asked Sarah why she would shape my nails like that and Sarah had the nerve to say that's what I asked for. Like yes I asked you to shape my nails crooked. Sarah walks away upset and Asia tells me that she has to practice more and be willing to take criticism etc. So while she's saying that, things start clicking like hold up!!!! You sent me to an inexperienced nail tech and charged me experienced nail tech prices. It's safe to say I'll never go back to Asia, she was very professional but her unprofessionalism comes from allowing someone in training to do a client's nails and not monitor her or go over her work to ensure it looks neat and professional. Also, if someone makes an appointment with Asia ensure that she is the one doing your nails. It's not fair to a customer to send them to someone else and some customers may not want to speak up to avoid conflict so don't put them in that position. This is long, because I want to be detailed about what went wrong. I'm a stay at home mom to 3 kids: 10, 2, and 9 months. I don't get days off. We recently moved to NJ in December and been following Asia for quite a while now. Though the designs aren't really my thing, the quality is what stood out for me. I called to make an appointment for a pedicure and I was asked to come in right then. Upon entering I was asked if I was the girl that called for the pedicure appointment. I said yes and was instructed to choose a color. After about 10 minutes I was called to sit in the chair furthest one to the back. Once I sat down and stuck me feet in the jelly (got a jelly pedi) she asked "you wanted to soak right?" I said yes, to which she replied "ok good because I have another client so just relax and I'll be with you when I'm done." Now soaking is cool, but I sat in that chair for about an hour before she came back and checked on me. I told her the water had gotten cold and asked for more hot water but had to sit through the freezing water before it warmed up again. Now I'm sitting in a Luke warm bowl of soupy jelly. I thought she was ready to service me, but I was wrong. She still had to apply crystals to the other client which means I still had to wait. 15-20 minutes go by and I'm finally getting serviced. I didn't complain because at least I was out of the house and the woman servicing my feet was lively and friendly. When she was almost done, I asked if they really offered Henna, she said yes. That's when a man selling sun glasses and other miscellaneous items walked in. The henna lady directed me to her chair and I had to wait another 20 minutes while they all tried on and made their purchases. I finally see her sorting through the cones and she comes over. I showed her a picture of the gist of what I wanted to get and she began. Once she had already begun I noticed that the henna wasn't the right color. I asked if it was black or red henna and she confirmed it was indeed black. She immediately starts telling me why she prefers black over red "because with the red you can't really see the design until after it's dried." I was confused by that. I showed her some of the henna I'd had in the past and watched as she sketched out my design. It was decent, but I was shocked to hear her say $40 once she was done. In my head I'm like *Souljah Boy voice* $40??? But I didn't complain because I understand that price is reflected off of time spent and materials used. Another thing I noticed here is that there are no prices. No one tells you before you begin, I didn't ask until the end (my fault) but it's listed literally nowhere. When I took my shower late that night (after the henna had peeled) I noticed excessive black suds over the henna area. The next morning I reached out to her with my concern. My stain wasn't red, it was black, and some parts were completely missing after just 1 shower. I waited all day and got no response. I reached out to the woman that did my henna before and she informed me that henna should NEVER be black. She stated it was most likely mixed with some type of die. So I get to googling and google says the same. Even goes on to explain that black henna often times contains PPD which can cause a range of issues from irritation to burning. Look it up! So now I'm freaking out and I still haven't gotten a response. So I reach out again today, and got a response about not seeing my message and yes it should be red. Didn't answer any of the questions I asked and didn't seem concerned at all. Honestly that's why I'm writing this review. I'm currently pregnant and if there were chemicals that are dangerous in this "henna" it could be absorbed through my skin and possibly affect my baby. But she didn't seem concerned at all. After bathing my 2 younger children and taking another shower myself the henna is practically gone. Waste of damn money!! Poor customer service from her specifically. I will say that didn't didn't deal with or get serviced by Asia directly, and the woman that did my pedicure was pleasant enough that I'd like to return but after this experience and some of the other reviews I think I'll find a nail home elsewhere. I've not had that stuff done to me in about a decade. I was impressed and showed my appreciation in the hard work I put her through with a $45.00 tip. This time around. It was absolute torture!!! It started when I first got into the the pedi chair with the water running. She walked away to do or get something. The water from the nozzle was hitting my left foot and was so hot it was burning me. I actually took my feet out of the water. When she came back she must have turned off the hot water and that's when the torture started. There was no skill with the nail file. The file was flat against the nails and my toes. Filing off nail and skin together. While that was happening the massage chair was bumping me around. So I was getting messed up on my toes and up top on the top of my back and neck. I had to turn the chair off. The chair was a minor problem. But the torture just moved over to my left foot. It was so bad I my reflexes pulled my foot away. It continued on to the scraping of my feet. Oh My God!!! I was literally silently screaming. My mask which usually covers well under my chin my mouth was screaming wide open so much, the mask was only covering my bottom lip. I was jumping in my chair. How she didn't notice is beyond me. I was texting two friends while getting the pedi. I don't know how. But I was doing it. Several times I had to stop and just silently scream. I'm no cry baby. I've been stabbed twice as a bouncer, hit with a baseball bat across my knees. I've been through a lot of pain. I'm saying where's that batt!? I actually saw a line of blood on my big tow. And when it came to the manicure I didn't say anything or realize it at the time. But she didn't take her tools out of the sanitizing oven-thingy behind her. So I don't know if they were sanitized. No soapy water. Probably because of covid. The killer? My fingers need to be filed again. And I still have dead skin on my heels. I'm sure she wasn't happy dealing with my big man feet. This was just bad. I paid right after getting the mani and just couldn't wait to get out of there, so badly I completely forgot to give her the $10 bucks I pulled aside after I paid for everything. I just wanted to leave that badly. I feel guilty because I suspect they work for tips. Anyway I included a screen shot of the text messages. I hid their names but left the time stamps. I also have a pic of the wall from the place so you can see this isn't made up. And in that pic you see the very top of the lady's head who was torturing me. Regardless of all this. She deserves her privacy. They will read this and they will train her better. But holy crap. I'm never doing that again!!! If you're the owner. Train her. Don't fire her. Have her give the men in your life pedicures. She worked very hard. She was just clueless or she just broke up with her boyfriend and was seeking vengeance on men. What sums it up is I have a hang nail on my right ring finger. And my nails weren't filed properly. I have a hanging piece of nail on my left ring finger. My other nails are just not done well. I am going to have to file them myself or go to another salon and have them finish my mani pedi.
