    Gel mani $30-
    Stefanie C.

Wow I actually really like this nail salon a lot. I found it by accident coming home from a restaurant in Bloomfield. It's small and narrow inside, and the parking lot is just about the same (small, tight... hard to back up!) They have a lot of colors for gel manicures - a lot of OPI colors too, the good ones. This can make it hard to come to a decision, but its nice to have ~options~ The tech who did my nails was ultra detail oriented. While I get basic gel manicures, I was appreciative of the time she took to really get my cuticles cut and nails filed. There were people waiting at the time of my visit, but I never felt like she was rushing to get my manicure done. All in all, if I lived closer to Glen Ridge, I'd probably come here more often!

Had to have gel removed and the nail tech used an electric drill rather than soaking with acetone. Usually fine with this technique (whatever works) but the tech had no idea how to use the drill and had the setting way too strong and was using the edge of the drill to get off tricky parts. This resulted in my nails being paper thin to the point that they hurt. Additionally, they are completely uneven and have divots in them where the edge of the drill was used. Because my nails were so thin and uneven, the manicure began chipping after 1 day.

Very disappointed. Had the a UV gel with color fill in and hours after I left, the polish started to peel. This is by far the worst nail fill in I have had.

The staff needs to be better trained or this salons reputation will diminish fast! This should have never happened to my daughters face!

I travel an hour away to frequent this nail salon and I never go on the weekends but I had my son graduation the next day so I gave it a shot. I have referred many people here and I bring my husband and children often. On 6/11/21 I decided to bring myself and my daughter for gel pedicures, gel mani, sns, and my daughter also got her brows waxed. My daughter has let the owner wax her brows many times before with no issue but on this day someone else did them. (That's never a good idea stick to who and what you know) After spending a good amount of time in the back I knew something was going to go wrong. My daughter comes out and her brows are extremely red but never did I think what would appear the next day would happen to her. Her skin is now completely burnt over her eyes and she doesn't want to leave the house. I'm so unhappy with this experience and because of this I won't be back. I spend good money here often! $200 to be exact for everything. I should never leave a nail salon unhappy spending that kind of money and having this horrible experience. My nails were not up to par like they have been in the past and my daughters feet and brows were horrible. I've been coming here for years but one bad experience has ruined it for me. I'm not sure where all these new workers came from but they need to be trained better. I won't even start will the nail photos because this brow situation says enough. I was told by one of the workers that I could come another day to fix my nails... My daughter also notified me that the wax was applied to the same area twice. This is more than likely how she was burnt. I travel to far and spend too much to have these types of mistakes.

Gel manicure with OPI Bubble Bath

I went for the first time today and enjoyed this nail salon. -- I called when they opened at 9:30 and made an appointment for 10:00. Glad I did, because all chairs were full when I arrived. I would suggest making an appointment although they do take walk-ins. -- I got a gel manicure and a pedicure. My one issue with this place: while I did see technicians do something with their tools after a client or two, it doesn't seem to me that they spend much time sterilizing them. That being said, the salon itself is small and could generally use a bit more cleaning but was not overall dirty in my opinion. Just something to be conscious of. Hmm. -- The gel manicure turned out very nice... Extra coat of color before top coat, no bubbles or smudges. My only issue with the hands is that I wish they spent more time doing regular manicure maintenance for me (cuticles in particular .. I do wish she trimmed mine prior to applying gel, though they aren't noticeably too messy). She did recommend a color for me when I asked for a pinky neutral and it is perfect - OPI Bubble Bath -- The pedicure was good as well. She spent a lot of time cleaning off dead skin and trimming cuticles and shaping nails. I did a neutral on my toes as well and she added an extra coat of polish without me asking so that it was more opaque. The hot stone addition was nice, though the stones themselves were not very hot. The massage left something to desire ... It wasn't much of a leg massage and she barely touched my feet (which is where I really would've loved a bit of massage) Overall I will be returning to this salon and would recommend to other people. My gel manicure and pedicure were worth the $55 together and I think that my few small issues could be resolved if I voice a bit more opinion next time. I did enjoy my time there... It was very quiet and mellow.

Still new in town--went here a couple weeks ago and Alexandra did my nails. She was very sweet, and quick while paying attention to the details. I felt the warm atmosphere was quaint and even though I had walked in and it was not too busy the seats quickly filled up during the time I was getting my nails done. I have yet to get a pedicure here--being new in town I tried a few different nail places and was sadly let down by all I've tried so far except for Glen Ridge Nails. This is the closest to my house, my manicure lasted a week in great condition, and the prices are right. I look forward to going back and having Alexandra make my nails beautiful once again--and everyone getting a pedicure looked like they were in heaven. A regular pedicure includes the hot stone massage so I will be adding that to my to-do list in the very near future! Will update review as I try more services :) Side note - their private lot is small, but there is parking allowed on the side street and on Bloomfield Ave in front of the lot. The other businesses in the strip can make the lot fill up fast--so if its raining, be prepared with an umbrella!

I needed my nails done last minute so I decided to call the salon and I was able to get attended within 10 minutes! The lady Anne was super sweet and. She really took her time with my nails to make sure that were perfect!

Walk-ins are accepted ! Quick Review: glad I did not have to wait longer than 15 minutes to have someone work on my pedi and nails. pedi experience: massage chairs, always a nice feature. Very gently cleaning on my toe nails and cuticles. again, I love digging and thorough cleaning on my feet! massage on my feet is cool but don't need it longer than 2 minutes. Staff used what looked like a combo of blade and stone. $25. Will not be coming back for pedis' here. nails experience: at the last minute, I decided with gel manicure. It's been one week and so far so good. The technician was shy but nice. Hard worker so I will be seeing here again. I will be coming back here for gel nails only. overall experience: rest of staff was very nice. One technician who was not working on my toes or nails helped me by adding oil to dry fast. owner was very quiet. In fact, the ambiance is very quiet, which is not bad at all.

I've been going here since 2013. Definitely my go to spot. Anna and Alex has never let me down :)

    Nails discoloring

I went to glen ridge nails and asked for a gel manicure. I asked for coral nails with a single gold stripe. I was told I couldn't get a gold stripe and that I would have to get a sticker at a store.....okay. Shape and cute was good! Halfway through the woman who was doing my nails called someone else over and I had someone else finish my nails halfway through. They looked good but I was sad about the small detail I had in my mind. Not even a week later I noticed my nails started to get darker and even brown?! I paid $30 for a gel manicure that browned and looked bad in just a week. A bit disappointed and not impressed sadly.

$12 for a manicure! Never again.

Detailed Account of Negligent Service Formal Complaint…read moreRegarding Negligent Eyebrow Waxing Service and Subsequent Skin Damage Service Performed: Eyebrow Shaping and Waxing Time of Service: April 2025, Esthetician: T. Result: Severe skin damage requiring immediate medical attention, resulting in prolonged physical and professional inconvenience. During the service, I experienced clear indications of improper technique and negligent care: Excessive Heat: The applied beeswax felt excessively hot, indicating an improper temperature setting. Aggressive Removal: The removal of the wax sheet by the esthetician was noticeably aggressive and forceful. Immediate Pain & Acknowledgment: Immediately after the wax removal, I informed the esthetician, Treasure, that the areas above and between my eyebrows were extremely painful. Negligent Aftercare: I questioned whether a proper post-wax cleanser (such as rubbing alcohol) had been used. Treasure confirmed that "No" such cleanser was applied. I was only advised to use a generic ointment and Vitamin E oil. Upon returning home, the painful area above and between my eyebrows became severely red and inflamed. I subsequently confirmed that the skin in these blotches-on both sides above the brow and between the brows-had been physically lifted and removed (skin abrasion/burn). Current State of Injury: The damaged area has progressed from red to pink and is now a noticeable brown/hyperpigmented color. Permanent Damage: The injury to the skin, particularly above the left eyebrow, remains visible even after two professional consultations, indicating permanent damage and a high risk of long-term scarring. Personal and Professional Impact: I have been forced to stay indoors and rigorously avoid all sun exposure to prevent further hyperpigmentation. This has caused significant personal and professional inconvenience, including the cancellation of scheduled appointments. Initial In-Person Follow-Up: I returned to the salon to show the extent of the damage. I spoke with an employee named Emily, who confirmed the owner / manager was unavailable. Broken Financial Commitment: The business owner promised in written format to reimburse all current and future dermatology visit fees related to this injury. However, the owner failed to follow through on this commitment, and all subsequent attempts to contact them regarding payment have been ignored. Lack of Response to Third Party: I filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB), but the business owner did not respond to the inquiry at all, demonstrating a profound lack of professionalism and accountability. This incident reflects a severe lapse in professional standards, commitment, and customer care. I have suffered a painful and lasting physical injury, permanent damage to my left eyebrow, and significant inconvenience due to the negligence of the esthetician and the subsequent failure of the business owner to uphold their financial commitment and basic professional responsibility.

I did not notice the renewal right away since the first charge was in December and I had a service on December 22, planning for that to be my last wax after 20+ years as a loyal EWC customer. That charge appeared on my January statement (which I received in late January); I assumed it was for the December service. I noticed the 2nd charge on my February statement, which I didn't review right away. Everyone in my household had covid and a lot of everyday tasks slipped for a while. I called at the end of March to say "Hi, can we please take care of this" and the answer I finally got today from the location manager was, Nope, since I didn't call within 30 days of the first charge. I didn't even know about the first charge within 30 days! So, I guess this is on me - $600 worth of waxing which I will never use - for not being zealous about checking my credit card statement.
