I am giving 2 stars because the place was neat and there wasn't a long queue; I was served immediately. The appointment started out okay and I was pleased. Now the reason why they lost 3 stars. I went there for a Brazilian wax. During the session, even though I paid for a Brazilian, she kept trying to get me to do a bikini wax instead (maybe less work for her?) and I had to refuse multiple times. After the appointment, and when I was about to leave, she said she would charge me an extra $15 because my hair was coarse and she did the back (which is what a Brazilian is). For me it is the principle of things and the way she went about it. She never mentioned it or said anything during the wax and waited till I was about to leave. I was very upset with that. read more

I had a hard a time finding parking and locating the Bellissima Waxing and Spa. After a few circles around the area, I found parking. Once I began walking to the location, I noticed that I couldn't find it. So, I called the Spa and Maria guided me towards the Spa. Maria was great. She knew how to apply the SNS dip powder without making it look too thick. Unfortunately, she couldn't fit me in for a pedicure. However, I booked another appointment within the next two weeks for a mani-spa pedi. The salon is nicely put together and comfortable/cozy. Maria is nice and a pleasure to talk with. read more

I got a Groupon for the gel mani ($18). You need to go Thursday - Saturday if using the Groupon and need to make an appointment. I made an appointment and saw Maria. There was a decent color selection and she did a nice job. She was careful and clean. My nails turned out nice, hopefully they will last. The salon is clean and cute. The offer you water bottles and some chocolates. Make sure you bring cash for a tip though. read more

Bellissima Waxing and Spa - Gel manicure - Groupon $18 - Skin Care Near Me - Summit, New Jersey

Renata is amazing! She's the best waxing person I've ever been too. She does my daughters too! Her spa is immaculate and she also offers the best spray tanning. So natural looking and beautiful job!! read more

If you care about your eyebrows you NEED to come here! My eyebrows were waxed elsewhere incorrectly about a year ago and I ended up with eyebrows that looked like they belonged on different faces.... completely mismatched shapes. I thought I found a decent place to help me grow them out, but after 7 months I saw no progress. That place cancelled on me last minute this week and left me in a scramble before a wedding, so I decided to call Bellissima based on the reviews. I called and they immediately squeezed me in for an appointment with Renata the same day. She truly knows what she is doing and measures your brows, draws them out, discusses shaping with you and takes her time perfecting them. After just one wax, my eyebrows already look 100x better... and like they belong on the same face! (literally cried tears of joy after my appointment, lol). So happy to have found my new place. Renata, THANK YOU!!!! read more

Got a Brazilian wax from Caroline last month and decided that as long as I live in NJ, I will never get waxed anywhere else. It was the most thorough, longest lasting, and least painful wax I've ever gotten! And they might still have a promotion- 25% off for a wax with Caroline because she just joined this fall! Which makes it the cheapest wax you'll find anywhere. I've tried about a dozen salons in NJ and CT for Brazilians, and have always had to choose between 1) The European Wax Center-type hard wax, which is less painful but also much less thorough. I would always see stray hairs after I left, and the rest of the hair grew back quickly. 2) The soft wax with strips which is excruciating but thorough. The wax they use at Belissima is a special kind of hard wax that is less painful than soft wax but also picks up all the hair. The waxing process took longer than usual but the pain was much lower in intensity. I was nervous about getting the new waxer- Caroline- but she turned out to be incredibly experienced and very friendly! She's clearly been waxing for many years. She never double dipped and twice tested the temperature of the wax to make sure it wouldn't burn. The level of hygiene at Belissima is akin to what you'd see at a medical clinic- gloves, a separate cup of wax for each client, new stick for each application of wax, never going over the same area twice in a row. This is a great place for a first time waxer- or anyone really! Caroline and Jane are experts who take their work very seriously and friendly enough to immediately put you at ease. read more

Jane (pronounced Jha-ne) is by far the best person that I have used to do my waxing. I have been to many different people and have had many different waxing services done, but no one has taken the care, paid the attention, and given me the best end result as Bellissima Waxing (my "peach" was silky smooth). After my first visit, I immediately scheduled another appointment and called all of my friends. The facilities are very, very clean (spa like) and Jane gives each client their own wax. She does not dip the stick back into the same big collective pot of wax. Which means that your germs are your germs and I don't get them. She uses the hard wax (which was new for me) rather than the wax that needs to be removed with the cloth strip. I find that the hard wax is far less painful than the other (although I have been getting brazilians for years...it still hurts). I barely felt anything with Jane. I cant say enough good things about Jane and Bellissima!!!!!!!! read more

After many attempts at searching for a decent local waxer, the arduous journey has ended. I decided to put my faith in Bellissima based on their fantastic Yelp reviews. I got my eyebrows waxed by Caroline and I was not disappointed. The space is very clean and new and I immediately felt comfortable upon entering the building. Since it was my first time at the salon, Caroline thoroughly explained her process of shaping my brows. She took her time to mark where the eyebrows should start, where it should arch, and where it should end, based on my facial features. Most importantly, she asked for my input and what kind of shape/look I prefer. The wax was gentle yet effective, and the process painless. The cost of the brow wax was steeper than most at $23, but it was well worth it. Already looking forward to my next appointment! read more

Jane from Ipanema is here!!! I love Bellissima Waxing. Very clean, awesome client service, free, plentiful parking (which is huge in Summit). Best of all, I'm glad I found Jane. She's the best waxer, and I highly recommend her. She's super concerned about cleanliness and the safety of all the products that she uses. Jane has an individual portion of wax for each client, with single use sticks, so you get a great wax that is as safe and hygienic as can be. And she uses her own Brazilian hard wax, making all her services as painless as she can. I highly, highly recommend you see Jane in her new location!!! Girls - Janey is doing facials now! Had one this afternoon and it was amazing!! The perfect antidote to what was shaping up to be a terrible day. She steamed me, cleansed my skin, massaged my face, shoulders, and arms, did the *gentlest* extractions I've every experience, and applied a mask that has made my skin glow. Book your facial now. Get involved, gals. read more

I must say that my experience here was absolutely fantastic. Never have I ever gone to a spa where I was treated like much more than just a customer. Jani was extremely welcoming and sweet from beginning to end and she made me feel like family. Renata did my bikini wax and she's the only person I've ever gone to that truly took her time, very meticulous and it was obvious that she genuinely cared about providing an excellent service making sure that every single hair was out and that the end result was nothing but clean and professional. To make things better, I was offered a complimentary manicure with Marie because it was my first time and my nails needed up looking great as well. She was extremely sweet and we had a great conversation throughout my time there. I'm happy to say that I will for sure return many more times, not only did I get an amazing service for both my bikini wax and manicure but also Jani's warm personality and hospitality are things that will stick with me forever. Thanks again!!! Xo read more

Great experience! Jane took the time to shape my brows by pencil and explain exactly what she was doing, and get approval before any waxing occurred. She uses fresh individual portions of wax for a higher level of cleanliness. And she's very nice to boot! Highly recommended. read more

Great place for waxing. The hard wax hurts much less than the cloth strips used in most other salons. It is very clean for each person gets their own portion of wax so there is no double dipping!! Best eyebrow shape ever!! Quick bikini wax means a great experience for me!!! read more

I booked an appointment here because the girl who does my eyebrows at my hair salon recently moved on. Renata did a fantastic job, actually a little nicer than my previous place. Bellissima and Renata will definitely be my new go to for eyebrows! read more

Was a bit skeptical at first. Had a 10:30 appt and they didn't take me into the waxing room until 10:45. However, my experience quickly turned around when Maria did my wax as she was a lovely, personable lady and we had a great chat! She made me feel super comfortable even though I hadn't had a brazilian in a while. Plus I used a groupon so it was only $26 for a great waxing experience which is a great deal! I also bought their ingrown serum and scrub which seem to be working well! read more

I have been a waxer for a looooong time and have traveled near and far to get the best wax possible. My search is over because of Jane at Bellissima. The nicest waxer I've ever come across and more importantly the gentlest and most thorough waxer Ive ever had in my life. This woman is an angel. She gave me the least painful Brazilian wax i think humanly possible and made sure she didn't miss a thing. I want to shout her praises from the rooftops!!! Please, give her a try, you will NOT regret it, guaranteed. I will follow her to the ends of the earth (have i gotten my point across?)! Also worth noting: The salon was small, intimate, and extremely clean. She takes cleanliness and hygiene to another level which was sooo appreciated. Run and make an appointment with Jane! read more

Let me start by saying that (1) I have never had anything waxed before, and (2) I found and chose Bellissima solely based on their stellar Yelp reviews. I am happy to report that Bellissima surpassed my already-high expectations! I got a Brazilian wax from Jane, the owner. Any anxiety I had about the wax soon went away; Jane put me right at ease and I knew I was in good hands. Her work was sanitary, thorough, and very careful. Yes, it hurts for a little bit, but nothing near what I was expecting (I did take Advil about 20 minutes before my appointment--I'm sure it helped). For a first timer, and as someone who does not have a high tolerance for pain, I was pleasantly surprised by the easy process. I am a Brazilian wax CONVERT now, ladies! I can't wait to spread the good word and tell all my friends to go to Bellissima for their next wax! I kind of can't wait to go back for round 2! :) read more

Hard to fine a place here in Jersey, Summit area that does good eyebrows. I've been coming here for months and love the staff and they do a fantastic job on my brows. Yes I'm extremely picky when it comes to brows. Brows can really define a look. read more

I've been doing my own brazilian waxing for over 3 years. I had mediocre experiences with various spas throughout NJ/NY-- even J Sisters was a disappointment. I stumbled upon Jane at Bellissima after a busy past few months where my upkeep was falling by the wayside. The rave reviews piqued my curiosity and I figured even if I had to do a follow-up wax at home, the bulk of the work was already done for me. After today's stellar appointment, I am saving my at home kit for emergencies only. Jane is methodical and professional. Her knowledge and attention to detail is very impressive. She is sincere, friendly, and generous in spirit. I love how hygienic the process is and how thoroughly she completed the job. She offered several post-wax treatments that made it comfortable and easy to return to work. I am a complete convert. She elevates the Brazilian wax to a new level. Helpful tips: Call a few days ahead to make an appointment, she is a one woman operation and her calendar fills up fast! Leave a message and she'll get back to you at the end of the day. She is closed Mondays. read more

As previous reviewers have said, my search for a new waxer has ended! I previously was at Euro Wax but found the high turnover rate and rushed experience less than ideal. I came to Christine for an eyebrow and Brazilian and I am so so so happy with the result. The wax they use is nice and gentle but also effective! I was nervous because I am 6.5 months pregnant and haven't been waxed in some time, but it was actually a very pleasurable experience. Christine was so nice and friendly and made me feel very comfortable. I also got a spray tan using their fancy machine and I loved it- so easy to use and I feel great. Happy customer! read more

Jane took waxing to another level! A painless process (she is SOOO gentle) in a beyond spotless facility. Jane is extremely cautious and takes her time waxing ... not like other places where they just want you out asap. She is a genuine caring person and will make sure you have the best experience every time you go! read more

Very clean and painless. I like the hard wax a lot better than the soft wax & cloth strips that most places use.

I have been trucking into nyc for years to stay loyal to my waxer of 6 long years in Soho until one day I had a waxing emergency and I ended up here with Jane. While I feel guilty for cheating on my long time waxer from the city, Jane is just so good and wonderfully sweet. She is so thorough and makes it as pain free as possible. I highly recommend this place. read more

This place is very relaxed. The owner is sweet and won't recommend something she thinks you won't like. I come here for spray tans as well as to get my eyebrows done and I am always happy and receive compliments from their work. read more

I came to Bellissima for a Brazilian wax and a spray tan. I had a Groupon and had never been here prior. Renata was friendly and professional, made me feel comfortable, was quick and good at what she does! I have been to many different estheticians and find that some are better at certain specialty areas but Renata was excellent at both waxing and the manual airbrush tan. She made the tan custom to my desired color and seemed to take care to do it perfectly. I am really happy with the results of both services and would go back to Renata without hesitation! read more

I think my quest for a waxing studio in NJ has come to an end. I came here with a Groupon that I purchased not knowing what to expect. I not only received great service but a very clean and precise wax. The studio is very clean inside, the wax used is good quality and the staff is professional and does a superb job in a relatively quick time. I have been to many waxing salons in NJ and so far this is definitely my favorite. read more

Based on its great Yelp review I decided to give this place a try. The place is small but nicely decorated and clean. There is a small metered parking lot across the street; however, based on the surrounding businesses finding a spot could be a problem. Although there was no receptionist when I arrived for my appointment, the door was open. After a few minutes I knocked on the spa door to let them know that I had arrived early. Ten minutes or so after my scheduled (underarm) appointment I was approached by Janeh who sincerely apologized for the delay and explained that since Christine was behind schedule that she would be taking care of me. She was quick, painless and did a GREAT job. She was not only professional but very personable. I will definitely recommend this place! read more

Terrible place was kept waiting for 40mins and then the pedicure was terrible - don't go here

Wow! I had a wonderful first visit with Renata. I came in with somewhat "botched" eyebrows and Renata took the time to explain to me how she was going to fix them. I will definitely be returning and sending all my friends! read more

Renata is a genius. There is truly no other way to say it. I am INCREDIBLY particular about my eyebrows and can notice one incorrectly tweezed hair. A friend recommended that I see Renata and I was hesitant because I am really, really picky about my brows and have left more than one salon in tears. But my brows were not reaching their full potential and I knew it was time for a change. So, I agreed to see Renata...but I was nervous. I think she was able to sense my apprehension because she really took her time getting a sense of what look I was going for and making sure she had the shape exactly right and stopping throughout the procedure to let me look and to make sure I was completely comfortable. The result? After a wax and dye job, I can honestly say that they have never, ever looked better. Renata is simply gifted and she was able to conceive of the most flattering possible shape for me and execute it in the most comfortable way leading to a perfect outcome. Seeing Renata is not convenient for me, but I'd travel a lot longer to get to her and have her unleash her talent on my brows. Ten stars. GO! read more
