Everyone here is lovely and I enjoyed my experience when getting my nails done. However, every time I go my dip chips and lifts consistently after 1-2 weeks. For the price you pay here the quality doesn't match. I paid $118 for dip and gel pedicure....I have never paid over $100 for both of those services combined. At other salons my dip typically lasts 3 weeks. Again, this salon is clean and friendly but I just don't think their quality matches their pricing. Also, my friend was charged $130 for dip and gel pedicure and her gel peeled off within 3 days....unacceptable in my opinion. read more

I've been going to the same nail place for about a year getting the dip powder. Unfortunately where I was going it just stopped lasting on my nails. After reading reviews of other local salons I came across vital tips. The salon itself is very beautiful, clean and newer looking. When booking my appointment I had asked for one of the best nail aestheticians that they had, and I was very happy with her work. She really took the time and was attentive and precise which is not something you come across a lot. There are sooo many colors to choose from which is awesome. Definitely nice to have a variety. I will update with how the powder lasts in my nails. Hopefully very well and for a long time Update : its been less than a week and a half and the edges on 2 of my nails chipped Disappointed. This is my WORST nail salon experience I ever had in my 15 years of getting my nails done. Short story: Do NOT see Kate-- patronizing, rude and extremely unprofessional. If you unfortunately found yourself there-- see Kim. Other than that there are TONS of hard working professional nail salon in the area with better customer service and their work is just ask good if not BETTER. Full story: I have heard about vital tips from several of my coworkers and and my boss that goes here in town. I was actually really excited and was recommended by my boss to see Kate (specifically) and Kim (from other coworkers). It was my birthday and my sister wanted to treat me and get our nails done. We called that day and said they can take us at 315, so we arrive there at 3:10. I wanted my sister to get a treat and make sure her nails were good so I told her she can go to Kate while I went to Kim. Big mistake. Kim took me first and was very attentive to what I want, asking how short/long I wanted my nails and while filing always checking to make sure the shape and length was that I wanted. Typical normal nail service. My sister is seated about 5 mins after a chair away from me and it wasn't pack so I could hear her telling Kate she wanted her nails short because of her job and etc. In the middle of this, my sister politely asked her AGAIN if she can shorten the nail a bit more cus it was still too long for her job.. keep in mind Kim still shaping my nails and I was taken first. ... *Kate disgustingly throws a fit and patronizing my sister saying she should have told her she wanted shorter before hand (she did) because it would make her job more harder and proceeds to HAND HER THE NAIL CLIPPER to CUT HER OWN NAILS how short she wanted it... I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY NAIL TECH MAKE ME CUT MY OWN NAILS. I look at my sister like is that really happening..That's like a hair dresser making you cut your own hair. I've been listening and not once did Kate asked her if the length or anything was okay. So my sister, not trying to make the situation worst, proceeds to cut her OWN NAILS shorter. I'm furious at this moment and asked her (Kate) is there a problem, and my sister not wanting there to be an issue told me it was okay and that she was fine--it was not fine. My sister (feeling bad about the situation and getting yelled that) apologized for asking for it to be shorter in the middle of her service (to be polite) and Kate just still being aggressive while she was filing my sisters nails. Not only that , Kate is criticizing my sister of the nail polish color she chosen saying is doesn't look good.... And gave every excuse in the book to justify that nasty behavior she displayed. But no apologies. When Kate was done filing and shaping my sisters nails, which didn't take her that much longer to do, (because I was still just starting to get my nails painted with My nail tech) they set her up with another nail tech to paint her nails because her next appointment had already came in during their session. Hmm. During this whole service I told my nail tech Kim, that I was really unhappy and that was so unprofessional. She was trying to understand but it's also her coworker and did not want to get in between. Which I can understand but it's still not okay. I pay for my own because I did not want my sister to pay for this horrible experience and leave. My sister literally verge of tears about the whole situation. No apologies, nothing. Disgusting. I work in this area and I'm just so disgusted by the customer service and experience that it took away from what Kim did for MY nails specifically. I work in a client base environment as well and we would never treat paying customers like this. ESPECIALLY IN THIS AREA. There are a lot of other great nail salons in the area that I will be taking my business and will recommend everyone else before telling them to go here. I would think twice if you wanna book with Kate. Kim was good but did nothing to help the situation. (And they both manage the salon) So keep that in mind. How did our nails come out? Average. First time visit to Vital Tips today for a pedicure and full set. I don't often get tips but this place was so well reviewed and I wanted to do something special for a wedding I'm in. I showed my nail technician a photo of what I liked and she knew what to do right away. My pedi was first and was really nice. The massage chairs are just ok but I splurged for the $15 10-minute foot and lower leg massage to add to my pedi and it was heaven. Then came my coffin nails. I was on the fence about coffin or almond and my technician offered to show me the coffin shape and size before moving forward. I made an appointment a week in advance because of the good reviews. This is the brand they use when you call and they say they have SNS....instead of SNS. Even with the check-in offer they charge an additional $10 fee for "french SNS" but they use an off brand ANC as a replacement ‍‍ Update: I stand corrected ! Three weeks later and my nails are still IMPECCABLE ! Sometimes you have to listen when nail technicians tell you about product updates. I recommend this nail salon highly. I have gone to many salons and this location is the best. (I get tips with acrylic and pedicures regularly.) Katie and Kim are my usual technicians and they are great. They listen and care. And, they do a good job faster than most salons which is a plus. I constantly received compliments on my nails due to their artistry. Even though they are fake nails, they look natural (nicely shaped, strong and thin). I appreciate that they continue to offer acrylic as many salons say they only do gel (which for me is less strong and more costly). I personally stick to classic colors, but they do wonderful nail art. They are respectful and pleasant. I have consistently gone to them for approximately 20 years. They offer Sunday's but are closed Mondays. Katie and Kim concentrate on doing nails. Other technicians do the pedicures which are fine. Do yourself a favor and check them out. The best nail salon in the region. Hands down! I tried five other salons in the area after moving here from another state. Each one produced thick nails that looked unnatural and would crack and break before two weeks. I asked all over for SNS dipping and they all acted like they didn't know what I was talking about.
