I'm disappointed with my 1st time experience at this salon. The day before our appointments, me and my friend called to confirm appointment times AND prices and were told one thing over the phone--only to be charged way more when we got there. It felt very misleading and unprofessional. On top of that, the tech who worked on my friend was extremely rough and actually made her cuticles bleed. That should never happen during a basic gel fill service. Overall, the poor communication and lack of care made this visit really frustrating. this is one of the worst places I have been to in Caldwell. Since the new owner took over it has turned to shit. it is no longer clean, they treat you like crap, make you feel bad about getting anything done. Getting your brows done is half backwards when home noticed all the hairs still sticking up. WTF - Had a gift card it was dated 11/1/2024- tried to use for 12/2/2025 They said NO and torn it up before I can say a word. Caution - some of the nail techs here are good but some are not. Kathy is decent but last time I had Rosa and she was awful. Very rough when filing and cutting cuticles. Almost every finger was bleeding after and they still hurt days later. Not to mention the nails were all uneven / crooked even after I asked her to fix them (see photo of crooked thumb nail). They are not shaped square as I had asked but were more rounded. I wouldn't come back here again. read more

The salon was clean and organized and the staff was very friendly. The dip manicure was excellent and there was great attention paid to preparing my cuticles and nail bed for the new dip. I wanted to like this place. It's close to home and they have Asian women doing nails. So I walked in after going to two other salons same street and I asked if they can do a certain nail design. So someone finally said yes. I was excited. It was my bday so o wanted to treat myself. First they said gel nail is like $33. But with my design request it was going to be more since my nails were short. I said ok. What's a little more money. Long story short after 2 1/2 hr of already upset with the tech my nails came out horrible and I paid $95. The design looks like a kid did it. I can go on telling more of my story but I don't want to get upset. Manager or owner said come back to fix it. I said ok. Come to think about it. Why do that. I wasted valuable time and to come back in two weeks to spend god knows how much. No I asked for a refund. She said $40. No lady. Idk how much you spent or lost. I lost time too! read more

I've been coming here for years, and my family was a client of Kathy's before she opened her own salon. From the minute I walked in I could tell that no one wanted to do my pedicure, acting as if they were super busy with one client in the salon. My pedicurist then began complaining about me to her coworker in Spanish, I assume they thought I wouldn't understand, but alas, I, like most people speak enough Spanish to know an insult. She then began to complain to Sara, out loud and in front of me that my service is taking too long because I asked for callus remover and new polish. Personally I think that's pretty standard for a pedicure. I asked if there was an issue as it was beyond obvious I was an issue for yh and not wanted there, and they just looked at me and smiled. I said never mind to my manicure because I couldn't wait to leave. Kathy was not in today, and I hope this is not how clients are treated when the owner is absent. I will not be returning, and neither will the other members of my family. I am beyond disappointed. read more

I got to the salon and they claimed I canceled my appointment (which I did not). The lady didn't believe me so was digging through the caller ID to prove her point which she wasn't able to do. I am giving one star because they did take me but the manicure is horrible. I asked the technician to remove my tips and just work with my natural nails. She didn't/wouldn't after I asked her three times. My nails are different lengths, stubby and too thick. I am going to another place today (three days after) to get them done again. read more

Despite the salon being open and multiple techs being free, they turn away Black customers making up stuff about needing to clean the salon early. I highly recommend Blooming Nails. I've had two gel manicures recently both by Olivia. She's also given me a pedicure. She takes great care in her work. She always asks if the length and shape is correct, and before she starts with the color applies it to one nail to ask if I'm happy with it. Everyone who works there is super friendly. I've been going here for years & they do good work overall. My only issue is that the girls (workers not management) are very cold & distant. It would be nice (and help get more business & tips) if they were friendlier. They barely talk or even make eye contact with the customers. It makes people very uncomfortable. They charged me an extra $5 per nail for a design that looked like a dot (it was supposed to be a heart) they were obviously rushing to do this which I didn't appreciate. Kathy was the one that did them and since she was rushing she just placed the design in spots that did not match the other hand. Then they apparently raised their prices now.
