I'm almost afraid to give this place a good review, cause it's already busy as it is. My nails last a long time. The quality is great. It's clean. Staff is courteous. I'm still Pretty new to the place so I can't remember the girls names, but some are better at the pedis than others but all are good. I never knew how hard it would be for me to find a good nail place after having moved to the area but glad I did. I tried soooo many places before being to find this. Only thing is the appointments are booked pretty close so make sure to be on time, cause like I said they are busy. read more

As we all know, just like Starbucks, there is a nail salon on every corner......haha! My facialist recommended Bijou Nails to me a few months ago. I started getting my paws and claws done here. Grace is the owner and just the loveliest person so am glad to give her my business. The place is adorable and quaint. The entire staff is most pleasant and professional so am always pleased with the service here. They are all very aware of COVID cleaning protocol and take all measures necessary to make you feel safe while out and about. I highly recommend this nail salon. It's simply fantastic!! read more

I really liked this place! I've been going here for 1 1/2yrs and even recommended it to all my friends, but today was the LAST TIME I'll ever step foot in there. I was 1 of 2 people in the shop and was asked to move seats in the middle of my pedicure because another woman "likes that seat." I don't want to pull the race card, but it was very triggering as a black woman, to be asked to move because a white woman wanted my seat. There were 3 other seats open and the woman asked the owner to tell me to move...and the owner followed her orders. Then the owner proceeds to say to her "oh she didn't know that you like that seat." THE OWNER LITERALLY TOLD ME TO SIT THERE WHEN I WALKED IN. Now I just wonder if they do this to everyone, anytime that specific woman is in the shop...or did they only feel comfortable doing it to me??? I wish I could give 0 stars. read more

No frills nail salon in town. They were able to fit my mother and I for some quick self care. The ladies were very considerate of my mother, who has some walking issues. I got a gel set ($36) and she got a mani/pedi ($45). read more

Personal Services opening this week was the highlight, and this review is long overdue. Talk about learning new skills during the self-quarantine. Grace and everyone here is friendly and do a great job (Julie is a personal fav). Prices are VERY reasonable. The salon is ready for the "new normal" and has all the safeguards in place at the register, manicure & pedicure stations. They also provide waxing and eyelash services. Large parking area in the back. read more

Grace did a beautiful job on my french manicure. She made time for me last minute and my nails look exactly like what I wanted. So nice and a wonderful nail salon. I will definitely be coming back! read more

I've been getting my nails done by grace for 20 years. I love the team at Bijou. The salon is always clean they keep all the chairs up to date. Everyone is so pleasant they even let me keep a box there for all my pedicure stuff. I've sent a lot of friends there. read more

This is one of the few nail salons around here open seven days a week. Very clean place and friendly, nice staff. I've been coming here on and off for years and all the manicurists do a decent job, especially Rosa. I have come as a walk in without an appointment on weekdays, but I would recommend an appointment on weekends as they can get busy on Saturdays and Sundays. Happy to see they finally got new pedicure chairs recently as the others were getting old. A good selection of polishes from Essie and others. read more

I just moved to the area and was looking for a nail salon. I went into this salon as I saw they had decent reviews. When my husband and I entered, no one greeted us and we were asked, what are you getting? I informed her a mani/pedi for my husband and a fill-in and pedicure for me. In turn, I was told come back tomorrow. It was 10:00 in the morning. I feel they did not want to provide service to me and my husband they shod have just said so. read more

Brought my mom for a mani pedi so she'll be ready for Mother's Day. Rosa did her pedi but since it was time for her to go she zoomed through it and when my mom asked if she could use the scrub along with the police stone and she very nastily replied that she did it already followed by "what else do u want?" My mom is so disappointed. Won't be coming back :/ read more

I came here for mani-pedi because my gel nail chipped the day before my friend's wedding. I called and the lady told me they have space for me, so I chose the place right away. The price is average, with $10 mani and $20 pedi. They include a short hand and feet massage and hot towel, which is a nice touch I don't always get in NYC. The lady who did my mani-pedi was gentle, through and precise. They have many high quality nail polish options and also offer eye lash extension ($120) which I didn't have time for. Too bad I live too far away because I would've come back here! The spa pedicure chairs also have massage option and it's clean :) read more

I came here last friday to get my nails done. I didn't call in before hand and just walked in. One of the workers was able to take me right away and handed me a huge bin full of nail polish colors to chose from. When she was done with my manicure I was so pleased! It was my first time getting gel and I don't think I could ever go back to regular nail polish. She also massaged my hand and placed a warm towel on top of it, then put on lotion. It was a nice experience and the customer service was great. I'm definitely coming back! (Gel is $30) read more

Good service, nice gel manicure/pedi by Julie, nice and clean and very fast! Very happy to have found her!

Received $55 French tips. Two days later 4 nails broke. So disappointed. First time at this salon. The owner started on my nails then gave me to another manicurist. She was nervous and wasn't sure what she was doing. Actually my fault... I should have know better and stuck to my favorite salon. Btw. Everyone was very nice just sub-par work from a rookie. read more

I have been here twice now and I only go here because it is so close to my house. The staff is nice enough but the place is just cramped and not as nice as the salons I'm used to going. The pedicure chairs are old and outdated. I caught a glimpse of sponges they use for cleaning the foot soaking tub and it did not look clean at all. Yes, the prices reflect this ($10 mani, $20 pedi), but I think I'd pay more to go to a nicer salon. read more

Went for the first time at the recommendation of a friend. My appt was for 11:30am on a Thursday. I was promptly seen to and had a paraffin treatment for my hands and then a manicure (I chose a regular polish, nothing fancy). The owner is a lovely woman who chatted with me while I got my treatment. My manicurist was courteous, friendly, and did a wonderful job with my nails. It's been nearly a week and my nails still look great. I plan to return to try some of the other services such as the massages which I didn't know that they did since it wasn't advertised in their store. read more

Love this salon!!! Everyone is very friendly and warm. The owner is wonderful and knows her clients by name. Manicures and pedicures are wonderful - always a great job and very relaxing. It is a pleasure to go in and get pampered. It is also very clean and inviting. The best thing about Bijou Nails is the kindness and warmth of the people who work there every day. I always look forward to coming here to get my mani and pedi. read more

Always outstanding service!! I haven't been in awhile (I moved from the area about 6 months ago) but I LOVE ROSA AND JULIE. Always so sweet and friendly. There is another young lady there who does my manicures who is outstanding who is probably in her late 20s, a bit shy, but I can only say in the 2 years I've been coming here I was only unhappy once and the owner resolved it. Also, I love my pedicure socks that you gave out for the holidays! You guys are the best. I'll be back soon. read more

I've been to many salons, and can find absolutely nothing wrong here. I very often call at the last minute, and Grace finds a way to squeeze me into her schedule without inconveniencing other customers. She is mindful, fast, and technically perfect. Not going here again. Service was nice. But the lady didn't do a good job on my nails. After my gel manicure, the color started to chip off in 4 days. She rushed. My pedicure was not great either. read more

People here are really nice and they accept walk-ins with never a long wait. My favorite is Grace! Prices are good too. Please note that not everyone is good. There's one woman (non-Asian) who is awful and I used to have to redo my nails after she'd done it. Grace was always generous enough to not schedule that person with me - ever. read more

Pretty expensive and my fiance's nails started lifting/coming off in less than 2 weeks; all were off in 19 days.

I love it! I was trying out nail salons to see which did a better job for when prom comes around and I tried Bijou Nail Salon and it was great. At first I got a simple manicure and I showed my fried and she thought it was Gel! Also, I got a complimentary massage while I waited for my nails to dry. It was a wonderful experience and I will definitely get my nails done here for prom. read more

Thanks to Sandy, the manager, Bijou Nails has redeemed themselves! After my last review, Sandy messaged me and apologized for the treatment I received. She offered to compensate me with a free gel polish service. Admittedly, while I LOVE free, I was a little hesitant as I didn't think the service would be much different despite the "free". I still thought the service would be curt and basically unpleasant. I was wrong. Sandy was very pleasurable, way different than I had experienced (and observed) the last two times I had been to Bijou. I got a chance to talk with Sandy at length about her experience managing the store, etc. What I gleaned from our talk is that she is new to the whole managing thing, and that; while she is aware that she needs to learn a lot more about friendly customer service and running the place with as little stress as possible (sometimes her stress is palpable and shows in the way she talks to customers and employees), she is willing to learn and wants to improve. That last bit about wanting to improve is enough for me to continue patronizing (unless, of course, it never changes). In addition, the work is good. Clean and well ventilated shop, premium pedicure services like the Shea Butter Spa Pedicure, a lot of color choices and nails that look great when you're done. Definitely give them a try. read more

I love this salon. I mostly come here to get my eyebrows waxed and they do a fantastic job at an inexpensive price. The pedicures are also great. They feel like mini masssages and the finished product never disappoints. read more

I've been coming here since I moved to the area in December. I have a newborn and having a nail salon so close to my home was the biggest selling factor. I'm finally done with Bijou. The service has just gone down hill with each visit. As a repeat customer, I would think the attention to detail and customer service would be much better but sadly it is not. On multiple occasions, I've made an appointment and still had to wait. Worst of all, some of the techs are just so novice that a basic manicure can take forever to complete and still look bad. I'm on the hunt for a new salon in the Verona / West Orange area. Hoping I don't have to travel to Montclair to get quality service. read more

RUDE, INCONSIDERATE AND HORRIBLE! This nail salon treated me horribly on February 9, 2018. First, the owner was the one working on my nails. She called twice at the last minute to reschedule and then when I agreed and showed up to get a full set of tips with nail decal stickers (which she said she could do) she stepped away from me twice to do two manicures for two girls who had arrived after I did. She complained about not knowing how to apply the nail decals after saying that she could and then did them very sloppy. She rushed through and then had an attitude when I asked her to fix certain nails that were already chipping. My nails were not all even in shape and she also refused to fix that. She told me that I messed up her entire schedule for the day after I had an appointment that she rescheduled twice. She charged me $100 and refused to bring down the cost, after the customer service and application was done horribly. It's only been a week and a half now and the gel is chipping off my nails. These were my birthday nails and I was very upset about the finished result. I felt like a burden and I wasted my money. I will never return to this nail salon ever again. HORRIBLE! read more

I went to this salon after a bad experience from another salon in Montclair. The people here are very friendly, and they diligently take their time to give you a very good spa pedicure experience. Their gel nail polish service is superb! When I had a nail polish accident after just a week, I just went back to them and they fixed & reapplied my polish for free. Now that's good customer service! I definitely recommend this salon. read more
