With that in mind, they are still much more reasonable than the dealership! The only reason I gave them just 4 stars is because they left a valve cover off one time, but they fixed it immediately and got me back on the road. They are also very tactful,..like when I accidentally run into/over/through something and need them to make all of that go away. They look at me like that sort of thing could happen to anyone and they just get right to work. Bless them!

I got to meet the owner, Steve, along with my car's new bff Pablo, who went above and beyond during what was scheduled as a simple service visit. He affixed my front license plate, cleaned the inside of my windshield (!), let me tag along on the test drive, and even brought me into the shop to see my car's underside once it was up in the air. How did he know I would absolutely love that? Little things mattered too: the waiting area was comfortable, clean, sunny, and quiet, with a thoughtfully planned garden out front. Rates were refreshingly reasonable--and not one cent over the estimate. It was such an exceptional experience, one that gave me real confidence and peace of mind that my car is in good hands. Upon my last visit on Sept 10 for an oil change I was informed that their inspection indicated that…read moremy front brake pads were measuring 3 mm thickness and both the pads and rotors would need to be replaced at a cost of $537.76.I was told when asked that both pads and rotors were sold as a set , not individually ,and needed to be done to main proper braking power ,,, it was also written in the invoice. At a local repair shop in Apex today I was informed, and shown, that the brakes were in perfect condition with more 8 mm pad material remaining and needed no attention ,also the rotors also showed little wear. Why did Carmedix try to sell me work that was obviously not needed?

It was a busy day so I was in there for about 2 hours. From what I was told in my first visit, they operate on a first come first served basis. The wait wasn't an issue for me because it was semi expected. Although it's an auto shop, dirt & grease spots are expected; It's in need of a gooooood deep clean in the waiting area. The Staff seem kind. I didn't think to check my wipers before I left the lot but the next day when I did, it was still empty. That made me think if they did not top off the fluids did they do the oil change. I lifted the hood and to my surprise the coolant hose was not inside the reservoir. The oil had been changed thankfully but they were moving too fast. This could have went so far left if I did not lift the hood up in time! I surely don't want or need any issues with a car I've had only for a year.

My ford Cmax keeps dying and has to be jumped. Morgan Automotive replaced the battery about 6…read moreweeks ago and the car continued to have problems. I brought the car to the Ford service center to have the electrical system looked at ( for a $125 fee!). The service tech said "you need a new battery it tests "recharge and test"". I told them that I didn't believe it was the battery. The ford service tech said "computer isn't showing any codes" and refused to do any other diagnostic tests. He said they could only sell me a new battery (at $155!!!) but that was it. I picked it up decided I wasn't going to spend any more money Ford "Service Center". I took my Cmax back to my Morgan Auto mechanic and showed him what Ford said and he laughed. He said, he would test the electrical system and see if he could figure it about. 1 HOUR later the Morgan mechanic called me and said he found an electrical ground and fixed it and believed that was the draw on battery. Ford Service center is a JOKE. Their service people are no better than tech support. Morgan employs actual mechanics and actual repair your vehicle. I have used Morgan for simply repairs - oil change, tire replacement, battery replacement for year. I now know I can and WILL take all my automobile repair business to them.

I would NEVER take another vehicle to Chapel Hill Tire after my experience with them…read more I brought my Subaru in for service, and noticed it overheating the day I got it back. I took it back to the shop and they told me it had essentially no coolant in it. I immediately asked the technicians why there was no coolant. They told me, "It was filled up when it was here." When I asked, "Then why is there no coolant in it now?", they couldn't give me an explanation beyond repeating that they had filled it. The car continued losing coolant and overheating. I brought it back multiple times, and I was repeatedly told that they had pressure-tested the cooling system and that there were no pressure issues and everything was fine. They also told me there were no warning lights indicating a problem. Meanwhile, I was constantly having to refill the coolant and pull over when the car overheated. One time I had to sit on the side of the road for about 45 minutes waiting for a friend to bring me coolant just so I could get the car home without overheating it. Eventually the car broke down on the highway and had to be towed. After all those previous visits where I was assured the cooling system was fine, I was finally told that the head gasket had blown and that replacing the engine would cost around $6,000. After I challenged that price, the estimate was suddenly reduced to around $3,000. I'm not upset that a Subaru developed a mechanical problem. I'm upset that I repeatedly reported coolant loss and overheating, and I was repeatedly told the cooling system was fine. The car eventually suffered a major failure anyway. I don't trust this shop and I won't be taking another vehicle there. If you're dealing with a recurring mechanical problem, I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before continuing to rely on their diagnosis
